“Amazing dog sitter, would highly recommend. You can really tell that she and her husband care and love the dogs so much. So glad and reassured that Miso was in their hands for a week and had so much fun. Would book again for future trips!”

“Jason was great with our little Layla . Had everything prepared , sent us pictures every day and our girl looked happy. We were out of the country so was important to have her safe . Now she is back home and she seems happy. We definitely use his services again. Thank you Jason .”

“Jenna was so awesome!! Very communicative and responsive with scheduling, sent lots of pics and updates throughout each day, had a beautiful and safe home for my dog to play and relax. He even came home with a new toy!! Absolutely would recommend.”

“Another wonderful stay for my pups. This was the first longer stay for my pup, Teddy and he can be nervous with new people. Seeing pictures of him playing with the other pups and cuddling with Susan and Jason made me so happy. I am so grateful to have found such a wonderful sitter for my two dogs.”

“I felt very relieved leaving my dog Charlie to stay over night with Kelsey. She replied right away to my request even though it was late the night before. She kept me updated on how Charlie was doing and sent pictures of their walks and outings to the beach. I was nervous at first because this was my first time using Rover, but Kelsey was great with communication and helping Charlie who can get anxious at times. I would definitely book with her again whenever I am in the area.”

“As a first timer with Rover, Brina's care for my pup ensured that I will book again! From the initial communication, to the meet and greet, to all the pics /updates, Brina is the best! Oreo had a great time with her and her dog Knox, and I look forward to working with her again!”

“Hayley was so easy to work with and took great care of our dog! She provided plenty of updates and pictures throughout the stay! Our dog and hers got along perfectly. We will absolutely be using Hayley's services again in the future!”

“Brendan & Sarah are the best! They took great care of our two large dogs and sent us plenty of pics and updates. It’s such a relief to know our dogs are well cared for when we go out of town.”

“Lana did a great job looking after my dogs for the long weekend! She sent photos and kept me up to date with how they were doing. One of my dogs needs medication twice a dog which was administered. There is a lot of space on her property for playing and my dogs had lots of fun!”

“Colleen was absolutely wonderful! She has a calm demeanor and was so loving to my Poppy while away for a week. I received daily updates and loved seeing through photos the bond Poppy and her lab, Peaches, developed. In fact, tonight a yellow lab appeared on the TV in an ad and Poppy went wild barking. I think she already misses her new friend and it has at even been 24 hours. I will most certainly use Colleen for future boarding.”

“Mac had a great overnight with Katie! I really appreciated all the texts and pictures Katie sent, especially since it was our puppy’s first night away. I can tell that Mac was given lots of care and attention. We will definitely book with Katie again!”

About: I always loved animals. They come second hand in my life. I always take good care of my pets. I have a dog as well I currently delivery drive and I’m also in school. I work once a week and school once a week as well. That is the only time I have a second room and a porch to separate the pets. I have a gate at my dog as well. I have lots of supplies
“Jan took wonderful care of our tiny Poo-chon! From the first meet-and-greet I could tell she prioritizes safety, and she kept us updated with photos and messages throughout the stay. Our little girl clearly loved her time there with walks, outdoor play, treats, and lots of lap time. We’ll definitely book with Jan again—actually, we already have!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Chagrin Falls
Mel was the absolute best with our pup. She provided pics of Cali during our time away and even bathed her! Picking up a clean puppy was a real treat and far exceeded our expectations. Cali got to go on lots of walks and was completely worn out when she got home, which is quite an achievement for a lab!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
