“Chelsea is amazing with responsiveness and attentiveness. I felt very sure that my dog was being taken care of appropriately and lovingly while away on vacation. She sends updates and makes sure your pet is also happy while you’re away.”

“Katlyn did a wonderful job watching my dog. She was quick to respond to messages, sent lots of picture updates and it was evident she truly cares about animals. We will definitely be using her again!”

“As usual Elandra was great! Marley was excited to see her and with this being her 2nd time with Elandra I was happy to see that she was excited. Elandra definitely has a repeat booker in me.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. At that time, we got a standard poodle puppy (Inspector Gadget) who I fed, walked, played with, and let out before/after school everyday. When he was about 3, we also got a springer spaniel (Sookie) from the shelter who was an absolute angel, and mine and Gadget’s best friend. I always made sure they had what they needed and felt loved! I took care of Gadget until he sadly passed at the age of 14, and Sookie until she passed at the age of 10, so I have experience with elderly dogs as well. My mom recently got a golden retriever puppy who I would visit to walk, feed, and play with occasionally while she is at work. I also have experience with birds and cats. I am currently working as a resident at one of the local hospitals, so my schedule is variable, but by booking me you know that you will get a trusted professional to care for your pets. I am free every other weekend to care for pets, and am generally free in the evenings of weekdays. I have no problem showing any pet love, regardless of size or breed, and will make sure they get the attention and love they need! I am used to big and mid-sized dogs since that’s what I grew up with, so walking large dogs will not be a problem. I am familiar with standard training practices for dogs as well and will adhere to any specific instructions.

“Mel was the absolute best with our pup. She provided pics of Cali during our time away and even bathed her! Picking up a clean puppy was a real treat and far exceeded our expectations. Cali got to go on lots of walks and was completely worn out when she got home, which is quite an achievement for a lab!”

“Roza and her family were so great with our dogs and showed them so much love. We got multiple daily updates with photos so we felt they were in great hands. Would rebook in a heartbeat!”

“Cathy kept my rescue puppy,Tanner, for a week. Tanner is generally skiddish of people but warmed right up to Cathy without even trying! You can certainly tell she has a deep passion of caring for animals! We received pictures or videos daily, which was so nice! She even made sure to socialize him with neighbor humans and pets alike!! I will definitely be using Cathy’s services again!”

“Beth and Edward took excellent care of my dogs while away on vacation. I received daily texts with pictures and how they were doing. With their expert care, I had no stress or worry about them being boarded. Thank you for treating them like their own dogs. I will not hesitate to use again and recommend them for your boarding needs! Thanks again!!!”

“Wendy was fantastic! Our sweet Mae stayed with her for 10 days and she took wonderful care of our spunky girl! It was clear from the updates and photos that she adjusted to Wendy’s home the perfect balance of active play time and snuggles. Wendy was very quick and clear in her communications. I’d recommend Wendy’s oasis to any pet parent! :)”

“Kimberly was great with my dog. I got updates daily with pictures. I can tell when my dog is stressed, and she didn’t appear stressed at all. All my instructions were followed, and medications given. I will use Kimberly again!”

“Stacie and Doug took great care of our little guy! They provided regular updates and pictures while we were away. I would highly recommend them to anyone and plan to use them again in the future. Thank you!”

“We took our little dog to Mariia for the first time. She kept in touch to let us know how she was doing, and we were very happy with the way she cared for her. We will be using her again!”

“Swetha and her family took great care of my dog. She sent multiple pictures and updates and replied promptly to messages and even gave my dog some holiday treats. I would use Swetha again in the future.”

“Amazing dog sitter, would highly recommend. You can really tell that she and her husband care and love the dogs so much. So glad and reassured that Miso was in their hands for a week and had so much fun. Would book again for future trips!”

“This was my 1st time boarding my dogs and I couldn’t have been happier with Kyle and his wife. I got daily updates and pictures. I could tell my babies were at ease from the very beginning and I have found my dog sitters!!!!!”

“Alicia was quick to respond and was super nice. My cat, Suki, seemed comfortable in her care for the week. Alicia provided photos of Suki and took great care of her. 100% would want to rebook with Alicia in the future.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
