“Rosie had a great time with a lovely family and new doggie friends! We got daily updates, pictures, videos, and communication was always very good. We are happy we found a great environment were our puppy feels comfortable when we are away from home.”

About: I have a variety of pet experience. Most notably with dogs, I have fostered over 13 dogs in the last several years through Kane's Mission. I am sure to give your dog personalized attention and love and care they deserve! We live in a great walkable community in Shaker Heights. We are happy to take your dog on walks and visits to the park, so they can have a nice vacation too! I can currently adapt to most pet care schedules. I have a flexible schedule from home, and I am here to offer a seamless transition. I have fenced in yard with room to romp around, and I am located in a great walking community with a park nearby. I can also come to you reliably to let your dog out and given home play, social, and exercise time.
“Pamela was great! We came to Cleveland from out of town for a sporting event and needed a place for our little pooch to crash while we were competing in the event. Pamela provided a great “home away from home” for our little dude. We received pictures of him having a good time, and he seemed really happy and content when we picked him up. Would totally use Pamela again if we get back to Cleveland and need a dog sitter!”

“Katlyn did a wonderful job watching my dog. She was quick to respond to messages, sent lots of picture updates and it was evident she truly cares about animals. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Sarah and Brendan were great with our dog, Kuma. He can be a little nervous meeting new people, but they were really good with him and he quickly warmed up to them. We received lots of photos, which was really appreciated and assuring to see that he was doing well. They were also super accommodating as we needed a sitter kind of last minute. Highly recommend them and would use them again!”

“Kodi stayed with Mariia for a week, and throughout the stay she had great communication and was fantastic! She took great care of Kodi and he had so much fun. I look forward to working with Mariia again because I know Kodi will be in great care!”

“This is our second time having Heather watch our dog Cooper. He always comes home happy-it's as if he never left home and was with us the whole time. Heather was compassionate and understanding when we needed to extend our booking by two days for an out-of-state funeral. We are 100% confident and comfortable leaving our dog in Heather's care.”

“Christine is absolutely amazing with dogs. A true whisperer in my opinion. My Shepard who is picky about people jumped on Christine’s shoulders and kissed her right away. I knew then it was going to be great. Would recommend 10/10 and will be using her services often!”

“Kimberly was great with my dog. I got updates daily with pictures. I can tell when my dog is stressed, and she didn’t appear stressed at all. All my instructions were followed, and medications given. I will use Kimberly again!”

About: I truly love animals, my favorite being dogs. i am with dogs every day all day.I have lots of experience with raising puppies and caring for dogs of many sizes and temperaments. I have owned snakes, lizards, turtles, fish;etc. so I also have experience with small animal care along with house sitting. Though I am not certified I train dogs for fun. (Basic obedience & tricks) I have even been told by a professional that I am really good at training dogs. I am a certified dog groomer. Some may say that I am a great bather and my grooms are neat. After working at an animal hospital for 2yrs I know a thing or two about pet care & what to do in an emergency so no worries your pets are completely safe in my care. Pet care is my life from the time that i wake up from the time i lay my head. i can do this in my sleep. (: in my home every dog is given the same amount of love. i do not have a fenced in yard however i take leash safety very seriously. we walk daily and i have never had a dog escape. i have tie out long enough to go where they'd like within the safe zone. we also have play time within my spacious finished basement that also has a fully stocked mini grooming salon on the opposite side. as far as drop ins in the clients home whatever care sheet you provide is what will be followed to the T.
“Colleen was a great match for our 8 month old Bernese! She was able to manage his puppy energy while having other dogs and sent daily updates while we were away! Would definitely trust Bogey to be with Colleen again ◡̈”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 8 years old. At that time, we got a standard poodle puppy (Inspector Gadget) who I fed, walked, played with, and let out before/after school everyday. When he was about 3, we also got a springer spaniel (Sookie) from the shelter who was an absolute angel, and mine and Gadget’s best friend. I always made sure they had what they needed and felt loved! I took care of Gadget until he sadly passed at the age of 14, and Sookie until she passed at the age of 10, so I have experience with elderly dogs as well. My mom recently got a golden retriever puppy who I would visit to walk, feed, and play with occasionally while she is at work. I also have experience with birds and cats. I am currently working as a resident at one of the local hospitals, so my schedule is variable, but by booking me you know that you will get a trusted professional to care for your pets. I am free every other weekend to care for pets, and am generally free in the evenings of weekdays. I have no problem showing any pet love, regardless of size or breed, and will make sure they get the attention and love they need! I am used to big and mid-sized dogs since that’s what I grew up with, so walking large dogs will not be a problem. I am familiar with standard training practices for dogs as well and will adhere to any specific instructions.
“Swetha and family take the best care of Toby. She sends pictures and updates frequently and responds immediately. This was Toby’s third stay and we will definitely board with Swetha again.”

“Wendy was great. She watched our dog, Margo, while we in the process of moving. During what was a busy, stressful time for us, Wendy provided a calm and caring home for our pet. She was flexible with our drop off and pick up times and kept us informed of how Margo was doing via daily texts. Very happy! In fact, we have already booked another stay with Wendy!”

About: Your Dog’s Favorite TT Hi. I’m Clifford H’s Wife. I help him take care of your fur babies and absolutely love all of the personalities that they bring. I’m normally behind the camera taking the pics, thus I don’t have many with me in the shots. So, to not waste any time; go check out his profile. You deserve that vacation, staycation or time off; go book with Cliff. I work remotely with occasional days that I need to report to the office. My home office has my desk and “a few” dog beds and lots of plants. The house sits on a 1/4 acre lot and has a huge fenced in back yard. We converted the sitting room to the dogroom as we crate (where size allows) the dogs at night for sleeping. Go see Cliff’s profile-he’s got all the details.
“Another fun stay with Lynn 😁. Tobi had a blast with Lynn and the other doggies!! Warm weather finally and was out enjoying the sunshine ☀️, fresh air, fetch, playing with the dogs, etc. She really keeps him entertained and mentally stimulated. Oh and the snuggles he loves 💕 so much! Got to say he was good and well tired when I brought him back home 🤪 🐾😴”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
