I have over two decades of experience as a pet sitter for clients and friends. Dogs staying with me can expect lots of attention, love and walks. As a devoted companion to your companion you can expect responsive communication, care the way you request it and flexibility in scheduling. I am happy to work with pets who have quirks or special needs and am experienced in giving medication, including insulin.

Mel was the absolute best with our pup. She provided pics of Cali during our time away and even bathed her! Picking up a clean puppy was a real treat and far exceeded our expectations. Cali got to go on lots of walks and was completely worn out when she got home, which is quite an achievement for a lab!
Mel loves all dogs, hands down. When we are together she notices and appreciates any dog we come by. But she especially loves our two dogs because she has spent so much time with them. As soon as we adopted Arlo three years ago she offered to puppy sit for us when we go out of town and we’ve never taken him anywhere else. Mel welcomes him (and now our other dog Kima along with him) with open arms into her home. Both dogs love going to “Auntie Mel’s” and we couldn’t be happier our pups have such a loving and safe person to care for them when we are gone.
Mel has a true passion for pets and in particular loves dogs and cats. She is extremely knowledgable on how to care for pets as well as their behavioral patterns. Mel is reliable, trustworthy and an excellent communicator and physically fit to be able to take long walks with the pets. Mel has a number of years successfully caring for pets and my friends and I use her as our first choice to look after our beloved ones.
There is no one more dedicated than Mel. I love when she watches my dog. He comes back happy, clean and tired! She makes it easy for us to go out of town, and we know our dog is loved!

Programa
I am available 24/7 and will let you know in advance if there is a scheduling conflict, as far as days or time of day; I can be flexible if your schedule varies or if you extend or shorten your time away. Your pet is my priority. We will take frequent walks and spend the day together; happy to reinforce training, work on socialization, whatever is helpful for you.

Care is centered around the needs of each pet, keeping to your pet's routine. My home is a ranch home (one level) with a large yard, nestled in a quiet area free of traffic and perfect for long or short walks. My house is clean and safe and I am set up and happy to do baths, shampoo and conditioner with a blow dry. Care is centered around your pet's routine. Dogs staying here leave happy and perhaps a bit spoiled.
