About: I’ve owned pets almost my entire life. I’ve had cats, turtles, and dogs! There’s not an animal I wouldn’t love. Animals has always been a security blanket for me. I currently own 1 dog, her name is Trixie. Shes a rescue and came with a lot of trauma. Shes been making huge progress. I had a 14yo Yorkie Poo who recently passed— he lived a long, happy life. I am attentive, loving, playful, organized, and happy to help where I can! I am a full time teacher so my Summers are pretty open! I can be available Monday-Saturday starting early mornings to evenings. I can be very flexible. I have a fenced in backyard where my dog can run freely. We go for leashed walks around the neighborhood as well. I know how to crate train. I had a senior dog who passed at 14yo so I know how to take care of senior dogs who takes medication. About: I grew up with 3 dogs (2 rhodesian ridgebacks, and one mutt). When my family travels, I often house & pet sit the dog and cats. I have experience walking dogs of many sizes, and know basic commands. I am also comfortable with cats, as I grew up with them as well. When a couple of years ago we lost our senior family dog, I started volunteering with a local rescue and have fostered 20+ puppies over the past few years. I am fully responsible for his care, including feeding, walking, bathing, nail trimming, etc. I always check him for ticks after visiting a park and know how to safely remove them. My kids have had goats, rabbits, chickens, turkeys, and ducks, which are all fun to play with, and I would be glad to care for your less-typical pets, if needed.
