About: For the past four years, I’ve been actively involved in running a busy in-home dog boarding and daycare business through Rover. While my former partner handled most of the client communication and scheduling, I was heavily involved in the day-to-day care of the dogs and was responsible for making sure they were safe, happy, exercised, and well cared for throughout their stay. I regularly cared for multiple dogs at a time, including dogs staying with us 24/7. My responsibilities included taking dogs outside every 1–2 hours, supervising playtime and group interactions, providing exercise and enrichment, cleaning up after them, and paying close attention to their individual personalities and behaviors. Over the years, I’ve learned a great deal about dog behavior and how to safely manage different temperaments, energy levels, and personalities. I became comfortable introducing dogs to one another, supervising group play, recognizing when dogs needed space or a break, and making sure every dog was comfortable in the environment. I also handled a large part of the cleaning and daily upkeep, including deep-cleaning the dog areas, washing food and water bowls, maintaining a clean environment, and making sure the dogs always had a safe and comfortable place to stay. One of my favorite parts of caring for dogs is making sure they have a great experience while their owners are away. I love playing with them, giving them attention, taking them outside, and getting great pictures and updates for their owners so they can see how much fun their dog is having. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and after four years of hands-on experience caring for dogs in a busy boarding and daycare environment, I’m excited to continue doing what I love and provide that same level of care to Rover clients and their pets. This is what I do and have done for a living for the last 4 years, prior to this I was working with my former partner under her rover account, plenty of play time for your pups! I can handle any dog of any temperament or behavioral issues that may require additional safety precautions. I go outside with the dogs in my care ever 1-2 hours, whether it be a group play session or 1 on 1 play. I tailor to every dogs needs.

Kara is the absolute best. I don’t worry about my Maggie for a second when she’s with Kara. She’s happy to go and enjoys her own little vacay. Kara sends photos and updates daily. Our Maggie is a bit of scaredy-cat when it comes to rain/storms and was at Kara’s house during a few at her last stay and Kara updated us and loved Maggie through it. Chelsea and her husband are always great with a watching Hank during the day for me. This time they watched him for 2 nights while I was out of town. I got photos everyday and he always has phone hanging out in the pool and playing with the other dogs. Glad I have someone I can trust to watch my little buddy for me.
Obie loved her stay with Aspen! Especially hanging out with her new friend Clifford — the sweetest most gentle pup. Aspen sent photos and updates throughout the day which we so appreciated. Tina & Rick are my go too sitters; they are kind, compassionate and understanding towards my Husky (and her behavioral changes as a senior dog). They are always flexible, which is good because I’m a huge procrastinator!!! But definitely book well in advance don’t be like me. 😂
I never have to worry about my dog when she is with Kimberly. She’s great about sending pictures and videos so that I can see how my dog is doing.
