“Timothy has been doing drop in visits with my reactive bernedoodle for a couple weeks now. I am amazed at how quickly he's established a rapport with Chewbacca. Tim's knowledgable, patient, and prompt. I will definitely book with him again.”

I can't wait to meet you and spoil your pets. I am looking for part time work as dog walker, stop in visits, and cat sitting. I am a full time teacher. I am available over breaks as well. I love animals so much! I would respect your property and give you the best care. I would treat your animals like my own. I am very responsible and reliable. I am able to do drop-ins throughout the day during summer. I am also available for weekend drop-ins. I can’t wait to help you and spoil your pet.
“I can not say thank you enough. I have had such anxiety leaving my girl to go back in the office three days a week unexpectedly and Jeanie really has made this transition smooth and takes care of my Freya and loves her. Thank you so much.”

“Janet has been amazing. After losing one of my dogs a few months ago, I rescued a dog for the first time. It has been overwhelming at times and I wasn't sure I would be able to find a dependable sitter who would be willing to handle him. Janet has been awesome and so understanding since day one. She comes over twice a week to let my dogs out when I work late. She takes great care of them and always keeps me updated. I really appreciate the details she puts into the rover cards and it makes me feel at ease to get a report and photos of then during my work day.”

“Brianna did a great job making sure Florence was well taken care of while I was out of town! I appreciated the litter box being nicely cleaned when I came back. Florence seems happy as ever. Thank you!”

“Gracie is amazing! We will definitely be booking her drop-in services again for our 3 dogs. She came over before our trip to meet our pups and get a run down of their routine. Then at each drop-in visit, we got an update and great photos! Gracie is reliable, trustworthy, and there's no doubt she loves dogs! Five stars! Highly recommend!”

About: I have years of hands-on experience caring for children and managing a busy household, which has given me strong skills in supervision, structure, and maintaining a calm, safe environment skills that translate directly to dog care. I’m very comfortable managing different personalities, routines, and behaviors, including high-energy dogs and those who need extra patience or consistency. In my home, dogs are never left unsupervised for long periods. I follow feeding schedules closely, maintain consistent routines, and pay close attention to behavior and body language to keep everyone safe and comfortable. I understand how important it is for dogs to feel secure, especially in a new environment, and I work to make the transition as smooth as possible. I have experience handling multiple responsibilities at once, which means your dog will be cared for in a structured, attentive environment not a chaotic or unpredictable one. Safety, supervision, and communication with owners are always my top priorities. I care for every dog like they're one of my own. My home isn't run on a strict schedule instead, dogs become part of our daily routine. We start our mornings by getting up and heading outside to play, and on weekends we spend lots of time outdoors enjoying the yard. During the week, I work from home, so the dogs hang out with me inside and get plenty of attention throughout the day. They have opportunities to go outside whenever they need to, and I make a point to get everyone out at least once every hour. My goal is to provide a relaxed, loving environment where dogs feel comfortable, safe, and right at home. My home is set up to be safe, structured, and comfortable for dogs of different temperaments. I have a fenced yard for secure outdoor time and two friendly dogs who are used to being around others. I closely supervise all interactions and can separate or crate dogs when needed to ensure everyone stays safe. I follow each dog’s routine carefully and pay attention to behavior and body language to prevent issues before they start. Owners can expect regular updates and a calm, well managed environment.
“I have really appreciated Makaila taking care of our cat while we were gone. She always goes above and beyond, and even went out of her way to get supplies for Buddy when we ran out. She is truly amazing and will always book with her! Your pet is in excellent care with her! Thank you Makaila!”

“Val was great! Excellent communicator, was always there when she said she'd be, and my dog adored her 😊 It's a huge relief knowing my dog was in safe and caring hands, would definitely book again.”

About: I have a husky and two kitties at home, and have always found working with animals to be the root of my happiness. I believe in treating our animals with the utmost care, so that they live a happiest and healthiest of lives. However, I can understand that when lives get busy it is hard to give our pets the exercise they deserve. This said, I would love to help out! I am a senior in high school, and am 18 years old. I am at school until 2:30pm, so afternoons and evenings is when I’m most available. Weekends are more open for me, so with communication I can be available any time of day. I have worked as a dog walker and sitter for about a year now, through contacting neighbors nearby. Whether it be walking my own husky or helping out in the neighborhood, I have walked dogs of all breeds. I would love to get in contact with you and see if your pet and I would be a good match!!
About: I was in 4H all my youth. I learned how to teach a dog basic obedience through advanced courses such as rally(obstacle courses). I learned how each dog is different and meet them where they are at. I listen to pet parents and use their training style so the pets feel consistency. I am very gentle with all animals. Each one just wants to know they are safe when their parent is gone. I am a morning person so I am up early with my animals. I love being active in the morning. I know that animals usually like to be active in the mornings too. I will care for your pets as you have instructed. I want every parent to know their pet is safe because I listened to their instructions and I care for their well being.
“Kailee was great! My first time using a pet sitter for my dog and Kailee relieved all my nerves and made me feel super comfortable leaving him in her care. I highly recommend Kailee for all your dog sitting needs and plan on using her again in the future!”

About: I have had many dogs in my family. We are always willing to help other family members and neighbors with watching or walking their dogs. I currently have a lot of time on my hands so I have a lot of time to walk your dog(s). I am a very active person and love taking multiple walks a day. I have a section of yard fenced off with a pool. All of the trashcans have lids. There is plenty of room in the house to run around.

Monika was great looking in on our animals while we were gone. This was our first time using Rover and we were not disappointed with Monika. She took care of our animals and sent pictures every trip. We had a diabetic cat that needed insulin shots twice a day and she did so like clockwork and he seemed happy and healthy when we got home. I will definitely hire her again next time we leave town!

Dee was super easy to work with and very responsive to txts. We had a meet and greet and everything went great with her taking care of our two cats. We got daily updates, and she even swept up the floor as the cats are messy and get litter everywhere. Will definitely book her again.
Brianna was great - she was very communicative and took lots of pictures. Followed all the instructions and spent quality time with my boys. I knew my birds were in good hands and I was not worried for their safety at all while they were in her care. Will be relying on her again next time I’m out of town!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
