About: I currently have a Labrador Retriever and a cat, and before them I raised a golden retriever who lived to 11. I’m close to the MetroParks, so even without a fenced yard there’s plenty of opportunity for long walks and fresh air. I believe a calm dog is a happy, well‑behaved dog, and I make sure every pup gets the exercise and attention they need. I know it can be stressful leaving your dog in a new environment. My goal is to put your mind at ease so you can fully enjoy your vacation or event. I’ll send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pup is doing. I’m dedicated to making animals feel at home—just like I hope for my own pets when I’m away. I work from home three days a week, which gives me plenty of flexibility for walks and attention throughout the day when the weather is nice. I’m also home on weekends, so your pets will have consistent company and care. I have a friendly dog and cat to keep your fur baby company. I can crate your dog easily if needed. I am in an apartment, but there’s convenient side walks and paths for taking bathroom breaks multiple times per day.

About: My dogs are like my kids! I will treat yours just the same!! I have plenty of awesome references as needed of furry friends I have taken care of in my home and who I have taken care of by letting the doggies out at others homes as well. Any questions just let me know! Thank you for your time. Have a great day! I’m currently working part time and have the extra to walk , run and play with your pets! I’m looking to still get time outside and my pet time in! Dogs need a walk? To be fed? Just some extra time outside? I’m the dog walker for you! Older dogs just need some check up I’m good with that too.
“Halie is an exceptional person and sitter!! We are so appreciative of her kindness to our 4 rescue cats. They all loved her and that’s saying a lot as one of our babies is super duper skittish. Cat moms and dads- totally book with Halie! So grateful for her and so happy to have the peace of mind that comes with complete trust of your fur babies when you go out of town!! 10/10!! Thank you so much Halie!!!!”

About: I've always been around dogs, cats, kittens, or puppies. Since I was young, we've had some kind of furry animal. The litters of puppies and kittens were always my favorite. They became part of my heart. My favorite past time activity as a kid was playing outside with the pets. I'm a full time student, but after class I am available to make sure the pets I care for get lots of love and attention. My pets have a lot of space outside and are really simple to take care of. I love the routine we've built. With my clients, I made sure to keep the pets well fed and always having water. As well as keeping them active.
“Roxanne is wonderful! She was very communicative and prompt, and did exactly what she said she would do with our dog. We absolutely trust her and will use her again. We highly recommend her :-)”

About: Hi! My name is Ebony, and I’m a college student pursuing a degree in Veterinary Technology. I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life and currently have a dog of my own, so caring for animals isn’t just a job… it’s my passion. With my background, I’m comfortable administering oral medications, recognizing changes in behavior, and responding appropriately in emergency situations. Cleanliness and organization are very important to me, and I always make sure your home and your pet’s space are left tidy. I am more than happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you always know how your fur baby is doing while you’re away. ❤️ While I attend school full-time , my availability outside of classes is fully dedicated to your pet’s care. I currently offer in-home sitting and walking services so your pet can stay in their familiar environment and maintain their daily routine. I understand how important patience, consistency, and compassion are when it comes to building trust with both pets and their owners. I strictly follow all provided feeding schedules, dietary needs, medication instructions, and routines to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and stress-free in their own home. Thank you for considering me as your sitter ❣️
About: I’ve taken care of many dogs and cats. I was and still am the go-to person for my friends and family to care for their pets while out of town. I have a dog of my own as well. Love her to pieces. I have a full time job. Available week nights. Also available on weekends to stop in or walk your pup. I know weekends can get busy for everyone! I will follow any instructions you leave. I have a dog myself. I would love to arrange play dates at any time if you are interested in that as well.
About: Growing up, we always had multiple dogs that were my responsibility to care for, and I loved every moment of it! I have spent the last several years helping my family and friends with watching, caring for, and walking their dogs when need - I'm the go-to person for them because they know their fury friends are in good hands with me! I have two cats of my own (one male and one female - both spayed/neutered), but I do not have any dogs of my own. I work full time - typically Monday-Friday away from home from 8:30amuntil between 3-5:30pm. Occasionally I work a few hours on a Saturday or Sunday, but this is the typical. If your home is near my work, I usually am available to do walks or check-ins on my lunchbreak. I have a small, non-fenced, yard that works well for quick outside potty breaks but live in an area that is good for dog walks. I have a decent sized home, so any size dog would feel comfortable playing inside. All pets are welcome on the couch - especially for cuddle time - and I have a spare bedroom where they would be welcome in the bed. I have space to hold dog crates if your dog is more comfortable in their own space for sleep.
About: My name is Allison and I am so excited to watch your cat(s) and/or dog(s). I am reliable, dependable, and I can't wait to spoil your animals. I am an owner of two Shih Tzu's and I rescued them a few years ago. I watch animals from puppies to senior dogs. I will also send you pictures of your animal and give you updates. I can't wait to meet you and spoil your pets. I am looking for part time work as dog walker, stop in visits, and cat sitting. I am a full time teacher. I am available over breaks as well. I love animals so much! I would respect your property and give you the best care. I would treat your animals like my own. I am very responsible and reliable. I am able to do drop-ins throughout the day during summer. I am also available for weekend drop-ins. I can’t wait to help you and spoil your pet.
“I can not say thank you enough. I have had such anxiety leaving my girl to go back in the office three days a week unexpectedly and Jeanie really has made this transition smooth and takes care of my Freya and loves her. Thank you so much.”

“Caroline was wonderful to work with and provided excellent care for my pet. She arrived right on time and made sure every detail of the visit was handled exactly as requested. She was attentive, patient, and clearly took the time to make my pet feel comfortable and cared for. What really stood out was how dependable and thoughtful she is. Communication was easy, she followed routines closely, and I felt completely at ease knowing my pet was in good hands. It’s obvious she takes pride in what she does and truly enjoys caring for animals. I would absolutely recommend Caroline and will continue booking with her in the future.”
“Emily is so caring and reliable. Completely took away all stress and worry for someone to take care of our fur nugget! She treats and cares for our boy like her own!! Highly recommend to everyone”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Brecksville
Roxanne did an amazing, loving and caring job. She let me know how my 4 cats were doing. Made sure to find my senior girl to make sure she was ok. She took great care of them and made it stress free for me in leaving them. I highly recommend Roxanne, you will be glad you did!

Asis was absolutely incredible. I was concerned my dog would be difficult to manage due to his age, and congestive heart failure. I did a lot of research on Rover to find the right sitter that can handle the medication schedule, and special instructions for an elderly dog. Asis was timely, reliable, and definitely loved by my dog named Rex. I not only recommend using her, but I plan on using her often in the future. Thank you very much!

We are so happy to have been connected with David! This is the first time we needed a pet sitter and I was anxious how our very shy girl would do. And while she mostly hid during his visits, he ensured she was eating and using her litter box everyday. It was an enormous relief to have someone who diligently checked on her and reported back to us. I highly recommend David and would not hesitate to use his services again.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
