“Monika takes such good care of our cats that we always feel safe knowing they are in her hands. Highly recommend her to anyone looking for a person who will treat your cats with love and care.”

“Taylor was great with my dog, Nika. She accepted a last minute booking when my regular sitter fell through which was a lifesaver for both me and my dog’s old lady bladder! My dog was also comfortable enough with Taylor to eat some food so that was an added bonus. I’ll be happy to book with Taylor again”

About: Hi! My name is Ebony, and I’m a college student pursuing a degree in Veterinary Technology. I’ve had cats and dogs my entire life and currently have a dog of my own, so caring for animals isn’t just a job… it’s my passion. With my background, I’m comfortable administering oral medications, recognizing changes in behavior, and responding appropriately in emergency situations. Cleanliness and organization are very important to me, and I always make sure your home and your pet’s space are left tidy. I am more than happy to provide regular updates and photos, so you always know how your fur baby is doing while you’re away. ❤️ While I attend school full-time , my availability outside of classes is fully dedicated to your pet’s care. I currently offer in-home sitting and walking services so your pet can stay in their familiar environment and maintain their daily routine. I understand how important patience, consistency, and compassion are when it comes to building trust with both pets and their owners. I strictly follow all provided feeding schedules, dietary needs, medication instructions, and routines to ensure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and stress-free in their own home. Thank you for considering me as your sitter ❣️
About: I have a husky and two kitties at home, and have always found working with animals to be the root of my happiness. I believe in treating our animals with the utmost care, so that they live a happiest and healthiest of lives. However, I can understand that when lives get busy it is hard to give our pets the exercise they deserve. This said, I would love to help out! I am a senior in high school, and am 18 years old. I am at school until 2:30pm, so afternoons and evenings is when I’m most available. Weekends are more open for me, so with communication I can be available any time of day. I have worked as a dog walker and sitter for about a year now, through contacting neighbors nearby. Whether it be walking my own husky or helping out in the neighborhood, I have walked dogs of all breeds. I would love to get in contact with you and see if your pet and I would be a good match!!
About: I have had animals almost my entire life. I am a big animal lover and would love to give your dog a safe, energetic, and loving home while you’re away. I do have one friendly dog of my own who would love to keep yours company. I am a stay at home mom with availability any day of the week and a lot of flexibility. I would love to welcome in and/or care for your pet. I have a fenced in yard with kids and a friendly dog to keep yours company. I can crate if needed and cater any care needs.
“We had the best experience with Maria! She watched our cat for us for 1 week while we were out of town & it could not have gone any better. She dropped by twice a day, gave our cat plenty of love & affection, & sent us lots of pics & updates while we were away which we appreciated so much. Our cat can be very shy but she warmed up to Maria almost instantly & we knew she was in the best care while we were away. We will definitely be booking with Maria again & would recommend her to anyone needing a sitter for their furry friend :)”

About: I’ve been caring for pets for around 10 years and have experience with both cats and dogs of all ages and personalities. I’ve cared for my cats, Louie and Dash, as well as several dogs over the years, including Loki and his son Syrax. Through pet sitting for friends and family, I’ve learned that every pet is unique, and I enjoy getting to know what makes each one happy and comfortable. Whether it’s playing, teaching simple tricks, going on walks, or just providing companionship, I make sure every pet receives the attention and care they deserve. I also have experience with puppies and highly energetic dogs. Syrax, for example, was the smallest and sickest of his litter and faced difficult odds early on. Through consistent care, patience, and attention, he grew into a healthy, thriving dog who is now even bigger than his father. Experiences like that have taught me how important it is to be attentive, adaptable, and committed to a pet’s well-being. I understand the bond people have with their pets, and I treat every animal in my care as if they were my own. I’ll always provide regular updates, photos, and check-ins so you can have peace of mind while you’re away. Tuesday afternoons and Thursday afternoons work especially well for me because I don’t have class the following days. Pet care is already a part of my daily routine. I’m currently a mechanical engineering student at the University of Akron and have classes Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings, which leaves my afternoons, Wednesdays, Fridays, and weekends available. I make time every day to care for my own pets, and I enjoy spending time with animals whether that’s through walks, playtime, companionship, or simply making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I understand that trusting someone with your pet is a big decision, and I take that responsibility seriously. My approach is to learn each pet’s personality and routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I have experience caring for both energetic dogs and shy cats, and I know that every animal has different needs. I’ll follow your instructions closely, provide regular updates with photos and videos, and make sure your pet receives plenty of attention, care, and companionship. My goal is to make your pet feel at home and give you peace of mind while you’re away.
“Melanie takes amazing care of our cats and provides helpful and cute details and photos so that we know what our cats are up to when we’re gone. The kitties love her and so do we!”

About: Growing up in 4H, the importance of responsible animal stewardship was instilled in my at a young age. I believe your pet deserves the utmost respect, attention, and kindness at all times. I am an incoming graduate student, so I will have an open schedule and plenty of time to play with and tend to your pet throughout the day. I have had and watched many pets with a wide range of personalities. I feel comfortable and confident interacting with new animals and getting to know their individual needs. It is important to me that any animal in my care feel as safe and happy as possible.
“Gracie is amazing! We will definitely be booking her drop-in services again for our 3 dogs. She came over before our trip to meet our pups and get a run down of their routine. Then at each drop-in visit, we got an update and great photos! Gracie is reliable, trustworthy, and there's no doubt she loves dogs! Five stars! Highly recommend!”

“Asis was absolutely incredible. I was concerned my dog would be difficult to manage due to his age, and congestive heart failure. I did a lot of research on Rover to find the right sitter that can handle the medication schedule, and special instructions for an elderly dog. Asis was timely, reliable, and definitely loved by my dog named Rex. I not only recommend using her, but I plan on using her often in the future. Thank you very much!”

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life for over 20 years. I have extensive hands-on experience raising, training, and caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments. I trained two German Shepherd from just 8 weeks old, later cared for a Pit Bull mix, and successfully walked all three dogs together with excellent behavior and control. Today, I share life with a 115 lb Anatolian Shepherd, so I’m very comfortable handling large, strong breeds as well as energetic dogs that need confident leadership. My approach centers on structure, obedience, consistency, and creating a calm environment where dogs feel secure and happy. I genuinely love dogs and understand that every pet has their own personality, routine, and needs. Whether your dog needs walks, drop-in care, companionship, or someone dependable while you’re away, I’ll treat them like family and make sure they are safe, exercised, and cared for. If you’re looking for someone experienced, reliable, and confident with dogs, I’d love the opportunity to help care for your pet. I work full-time but come home midday for lunch, which allows me to provide potty breaks, playtime, and check-ins during the day. Evenings and weekends are when I’m most available for walks, boarding, drop-ins, and quality one-on-one attention. I’ll make sure your pet gets plenty of care, exercise, and companionship while you’re away. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I have a fully fenced yard for secure outdoor play and exercise, plus a clean, pet-friendly home.

About: I’m 25 and currently located in Broadview HeightsI have a few family pets but one cat of my own. I am open to any breed or size of animal. I’m available on very short notice and I have experience taking care of many different sizes of dogs. I’m also able to perform other tasks if needed ie. bathing pets, vet trips, household chores, laundry and almost anything else you can think of (for an additional cost). I am a college student at LCCC where I do the university partnership and study marine biology and environmental studies. To say I love animals is an understatement. I want to provide your pet with as much love and care as possible and I would love to be your family’s trusted pet sitter! All pets for house sitting must be okay with being alone for at least 8 hours at a time while I am at my full time job. The house sitting price reflects a 10-12 hour overnight cost (depending on current availability) and one 30 minute drop in directly after work (around 6:45pm). Please note that if your pet(s) require around the clock care Monday-Friday, I will be unable to accommodate that due to my full time work schedule. Drop ins and other requests are considered on a case by case basis as I may be able to drop in on a lunch break if your home is close enough to my job. The more notice (for weekend requests) the better as I tend to travel on weekends. I will only do what you are comfortable with me doing ie. talking your dog on walks, going to the dog park. Please don’t hesitate to tell me what you’re comfortable with. I want you to be able to be stress free while I care for your pets. I will do my best to make sure to follow whatever instructions you leave me with to care for your pet. I want to make sure that they are just as happy as you are. Please provide me with specific details on how to care for your pet. I promise that the more I know the better.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
