“Kathy and James were amazing! I was so comfortable leaving my Koda with them and received so many updates to continue the comfort my whole vacation! I will be always booking with them whenever I need!”

“Margaret is amazing! Great communication, and lots of photos showing my pup was having a great time! You can tell Margaret really cares and treated her as one of her own! Highly recommend! 5 Stars!”

“Dana was fantastic with our dog Dakota.Dakota is a little special dog who needs a lot of love and a lot of attention. She was abused before we got her and it just takes her a while in order to trust people by the third day. Dakota was very very comfortable when we went to pick her up. She was in attack mode and protecting Dana, which I take as a good sign because she only protects the people she loves. Dana was very accommodating to us. We had a problem with pick up, but she made it work I know when I go on our next trip we will be using Dana again because our dog Dakota loves her”

“Kyra was fantastic taking care of my mom's dog when she was in the hospital unexpectedly. He is a rescue and very skittish, but Kyra made him feel comfortable and right at home. She also sent photos and updates every day. Highly recommend Kyra for your furry family members!”

“Megan took great care of our senior dog! She made the entire experience very easy and we were able to enjoy our trip without having to worry about our little guy. We would love to book with her again!”

“My dogs, Ozzie & Elvie, were well taken care of and spoiled by Julie & her son. They also enjoyed hanging out with their dog, Abby and being outside taking walks. Julie was great with updates and photos every day. We will definitely be back!”

“Jenn was fantastic. Nicest woman you’ll ever meet. Her love of animals shows from the first time you speak. She stays in constant communication, sending pictures with updates. If you want someone to love on your pets as much as you do pick Jennifer.”

“Wendalyn and Keith took such good care of our girl Gracie! They sent multiple pictures and updates a day during our time away! I would definitely use their sitting services again and highly recommend them to others!”
About: I have a miniature schnauzer who I trained and raised from a puppy. I’m looking to gain more experience with all kinds of dogs. I am very interested in fostering later in life and I am missing my pup while I’m away at school. I know life can be hectic so I am excited to help anyone out a little and meet some new pets in my free time! I am in school to earn my associates. This fall I have most of my classes at night. My only busy day is Saturday, where I have a class from 10a-2p, so for the most part, I am available and looking to fill that time with some furry friends! Please feel free to reach out!! I know every pet is different and needs different things. I am very flexible and happy to cater to different situations as they come. I enjoy walking and exercising so I am happy to do long and short walks, parks and more. I have an anxious dog myself so I understand some pets need a little space when meeting new people and new environments. I’m looking to give your pets the best experiences possible and listen to any instructions you may have for them.
About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities for over 20 years. As a neonatal nurse practitioner, providing attentive, compassionate care is part of who I am, and I bring that same level of responsibility and love to every pet I watch. I’m the proud owner of Kona, my friendly 9-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei mix, and I have two young children who have grown up around dogs and are gentle and respectful with animals. Because of my flexible schedule, I’m available most days of the week and can provide plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or simply relaxing with people, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. “Cat was great and very kind with our dogs, and we appreciated the care she gave them. One of the harness was unfortunately completely chewed up and left unusable during the stay. Aside from that, we had a good experience overall. Thank you”

“Angela was an absolutely fantastic sitter for our dog! From the moment we met her, we could tell she genuinely cares about animals. She was attentive, responsible, and kept us updated with daily photos and messages, which gave us much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog was happy and well cared for when we returned. Angela followed all of our instructions perfectly, including feeding instructions and walks. We will definitely be booking her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy sitter!”

My cat and dog are best friends, they’re very good boys and always welcoming others. Fenced yard with 0.6 acer backyard, so the dog friend can run and play outside. Owner is responsible for all veterinary costs and medical decisions. Aggression, biting, or repeated dangerous behavior may result in early pickup.
“She did a great job and my usually very shy and scared cat warmed up to Stephanie and her family fairly quickly! I have nothing but good things to say about her. Also, she was very flexible on the pick up time and I couldn’t be more appreciative. Highly recommend to use her for your animal sitting needs!”

“Miranda watched my dog in her home for 10 days. She gave daily texts and pictures. I appreciated that I knew she was happy and got along with her two dogs well. Would definitely recommend her to watch our westie again.”

“Phyllis far exceeded my expectations! This was the first time we used the Rover.com app and we were hesitant about the whole thing. As soon as we dropped our dog off with Phyllis, we knew he was in great hands! She put our mind at ease by sending pics and videos of our dog while we were on our trip. We highly recommend Phyllis and would absolutely use her again.”
About: I’ve taken care of dogs for several years! I have two huskies of my own now. I have raised dogs from their puppy stage all the way up to their adulthood on my own and for families I babysat for. I am very active and energetic and would love to walk yours too! I am currently not employed so I am available any time and day! I usually walk my own dogs 4 times a day but can work around your schedule. I would be able to care for your pets in your home. I have two huskies of my own and my partner would be staying home with them as I stay at your home to watch your pets.

If you’re looking for someone to treat your dog as nice (if not better) than you do, well Debbra is that person! She treated Biscuit like he was her own dog. She kept him on his same schedule and provided him with the long daily walks he is used to. I could tell from the pictures she provided that Biscuit was comfortable and relaxed. He was so happy when I picked him up. Debbra is truly a dog lover and I will be using her services again!

We had such a great experience with our dog sitter! Eric & Polly watched Enzo and Bentley for three nights and took amazing care of them. They sent us picture updates every day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear the boys were comfortable, happy, and well cared for. It’s not always easy leaving your dogs with someone, but knowing they were in good hands made our trip so much more relaxing. We would absolutely recommend them and will definitely use them again! 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
