About: I have been taking care of pets for about 8 years now. Whether it be my own dog or my friends dogs, I provide high quality care to each pet I care for. In addition, I potty trained and crate trained my dog, as well as taught her all her fun tricks! I am in college and will be available to care for your pets throughout most of my days due to my classes being spaced out throughout the week. About: I’ve always wanted a bigger pack. Caring for your dog like family gives them a loving home away from home while fulfilling my lifelong passion for dogs. I work from home during the week so I have the flexibility to give your fur baby play and bathroom breaks as their needs dictate. I have a spacious backyard equipped with 20ft. tie outs for supervised fun in the sun. Two to theee walks a day in the Avondale neighborhood as weather permits.

She was abused before we got her and it just takes her a while in order to trust people by the third day. Dakota was very very comfortable when we went to pick her up. She was in attack mode and protecting Dana, which I take as a good sign because she only protects the people she loves. Dana was very accommodating to us. We had a problem with pick up, but she made it work I know when I go on our next trip we will be using Dana again because our dog Dakota loves her”

About: I got my first puppy for my 10th birthday. She was entirely my responsibility. I fed, bathed, and trained her. She was a huge white shepherd and the sweetest thing on paws I still miss her. Since then, I’ve had many, many dogs and cats through the years. I’ve been through dog training school several times. I currently have three full-sized Goldendoodles who are reasonably well trained, although they are still way too friendly. I’m retired and available about any day except Sunday afternoons: noon church service. I get my groceries delivered, so I’m here most of the time. I try to walk one of mine every day, weather permitting. I would walk your pup before I walk mine. I also have a fenced-in back yard where the dog run and play. My house is dog friendly, and I’m not overly concerned with dirt. I also have the world’s best vacuum cleaner to deal with it and all the hair. lol I have a large fenced-in back yard with river rock instead of grass, so mud is not a problem. My three friendly Doodles love racing around, especially in the snow, and they would love to add your dog to the fun. At the end of the day, we all go upstairs and sleep in my room with a baby-gate blocking the door, so there is no house roaming overnight. I also have room for crates if that’s what your dog needs to feel comfortable. I have one cat who is comfortable around dogs and knows where to hide if necessary. Please have your dog be familiar with cats or at least won’t attack her if she tries to make friends. I can accommodate special diets and know how to use a pill gun for medications.
“The only issue with boarding my girls with Lynn, is that my dogs seem to suffer from postpartum depression for a couple days following their stay. You cannot find a better, more caring, surrogate dog parent for your 4 legged kids. Lots of playtime with Summer (Lynn’s girl), homemade treats, toys galore, cuddles and snuggles at will,… I could on and on… (BTW, unlike Amazon’s reviews, you can take this one to the bank!). A&J send their love to you, Lynn, and keep asking me when sre leaving town again?🙄)”

Derek is an excellent communicator! We are so thankful to Derek for taking such great care of our pup, Mango, while we were away for a week. We had a hard time finding the right dog sitter and did several meet-and-greets before we found Derek. He made us feel comfortable and confident that Mango would be in good hands. On the first day we dropped Mango off, I was honestly so anxious because it was our first time leaving her with a new dog sitter. But Derek immediately started sending us updates and photos throughout the day. It almost felt like we were never away from our pup. Throughout the entire week, Derek consistently kept us updated with pictures and messages. One day, he even prepared a fresh batch of poached walleye for his dogs and included Mango in their special “culinary experience.” It was such a thoughtful and fun surprise, and it showed how much he genuinely cares for every dog in his care. When we picked Mango up, she was so happy, and it was obvious she had an amazing time with Derek and his sweet dogs, Emma and Ruthie. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares for your pet and keeps you informed every step of the way, I highly recommend Derek. We had such a great experience with Megan! She took amazing care of Romeo and Athena while we were away. She sent us tons of photos and updates throughout the stay, which made us feel so much more comfortable and connected to them. She took them on many walks, played with them a lot, and really treated them with care and attention. You can tell she genuinely loves animals and pays attention to their personalities and needs. I don’t get out of town much and I am lucky enough to be able to bring my two fur babies to work with me everyday. I feel so fortunate to have found Megan and her family. Megan works from home which meant less alone time for my dogs-which made their 9 days with her much easier. Megan sent me daily updates and pictures that absolutely put this nervous momma at ease. From our first meet and greet, I knew that Megan’s easy going attitude and ability to understand my dogs’ quirks made her the perfect fit. Both dogs loved her immediately and got the added bonus of the rest of her family that showed them both so much affection and extra playtime. Megan is absolutely my go to sitter from now on and if I could give her a ten star review I would!
