“Anna is fantastic in every way! She was always so great at communication and letting us know anything going on with our pup. You can tell she really cares about all the details and loved our dog with all her heart.”

“We feel very relieved knowing that Caitlin will look after our 3 cats while we're away. She listens about the cats' temperaments' and sends us photos. Thanks, Caitlin, for a great job!”

“Suzanne went above and beyond to take care of my cat. I am blessed to have had her as a sitter while I was gone! I truly appreciate her care and effort and I would recommend her services to everyone!”

“Susan did an outstanding job taking care of Lucy during our time away. She arrived exactly on time for each drop-in visit, communicated clearly and consistently, and kept us well informed throughout. Lucy is a Belgian Malinois with plenty of energy, and Susan handled her confidently and professionally. It was clear Lucy was well cared for and comfortable in her care. We truly appreciated her reliability and attention to detail. I would absolutely recommend Susan to anyone looking for dependable, high-quality care for their pet.”

About: My husband, Keith and I love dogs and have had them all of our lives. Our beloved rescue dog passed in April. We miss having a dog to love on and play with. Your dog(s)will be treated like they are part of our family. My husband and I make a great team as he likes to take the dogs for daily walks no matter the weather and I like to play fetch, or work on commands. I work from home full-time while my husband works from home 3 days a week so we are here on site daily. We are active people and love to go on walks ourselves so we will take the dog with us. There are no kids or other pets in our home. We have an invisible fence so we will ensure all dogs are taken out on a leash when they need to go outside.
“Amanda was wonderful checking in on our boy. She took him on a walk, gave him lots of loves, and provided a sweet update and photo on her drop in. Looking forward to booking her again in the future!”

“truly can't say enough wonderful things about Marissa! From the moment she came over before our trip to meet our dogs and learn their routine, we knew they were going to be in great hands. She treated our puppies like they were her own. Every drop-in was right on time, and she always sent updates with pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. What really sets Marissa apart is how she handled an unexpected emergency. During the hottest week of the summer, our air conditioner stopped working with only 24 hours left in our trip. As soon as she noticed the house was getting too warm, she contacted us immediately. She went above and beyond, helping us troubleshoot the issue from a distance and refusing to leave our dogs alone until she knew they were safe. She even helped get the downstairs temperature back to 76 degrees. When she realized the upstairs was still much too hot for the dogs to be crated overnight, she didn't hesitate to offer to spend the night with them—without us even asking. That level of care, compassion, and dedication is something you simply can't teach. Knowing she was there with our dogs allowed us to relax, even though we were so far from home. She did an amazing job caring for both of our pups—our 150-pound lap dog and our demanding little pitty! They absolutely adored her, and it's obvious she genuinely loves the animals she cares for. If you're looking for someone who is dependable, caring, communicative, and willing to go above and beyond, Marissa is the one. We will absolutely be using her again, even for short day trips. Thank you, Marissa, for taking such incredible care of our babies. We are beyond grateful!”

“I was very happy with the services Tiffany provided watching our cats while we were out of town. One of our cats went into hiding and she went above and beyond trying to find her her. She reported in every day with pictures and stayed in touch with me throughout our time away. I'll definitely use Tiffany again for any future trips out of town.”

“Kaitlin is amazing with Bella! She is loving and kind. It truly shows how much she cares for animals. She spends time with her, plays and makes sure she feels loved while we are away. It's very comforting! She's the best!”
“Maura was wonderful. She was so attentive and sent amazing pictures. She’s reliable and has amazing communication. I will absolutely be using her in the future and I recommend her 100%!”

“Madelyn is wonderful! Great communication, always on time, and I feel so much better knowing someone is dropping in to see Penny on days I can't bring her to work. Madelyn is kind and thoughtful and I trust her in my home. Penny and I are lucky to have her!”

About: I have had dogs in my house my whole life, and for the past few years, I have been dog-sitting for numerous families for long periods of time. I am equipped to walk, let out, feed, administer medications, play, and take care of any other needs your dog may have. About: Hey there! I am an animal lover who has 10 years of experience raising and caring for my family's tiny furry best friend; Mia (Dachshund/Pomeranian). When we are together we love to take daily walks, run around the yard, play tug of war in the living room, and snuggle on the couch. I make sure she is fed, groomed, and, of course, gets her morning and evening treats. I live with my sisters cat in our apartment and am comfortable caring for your feline friends, as well. My friends and family have entrusted me to take care of their pets, large and small, over the years. Whether it's going for a long walk or spending quality time at home, I'm here to make sure your furry friend feels safe and loved while you're away. I am currently between jobs so I have a flexible schedule to work with. Aside from errands and remote tasks I have plenty of time to give to your furry friends. I am here to adapt to your pets routine and environment to keep things as comfortable and normal as their usual day to day as possible.
“Julie was great with our 160 pound 11 month old puppy. With us both being gone for the first time and the fact he is still supper excited and won’t listen well with new people in the house she did fantastic. She let us know how he was doing and took very good care of him. HIGHY RECOMMEND.”

“Bailey is so sweet and I am so happy I found her. This was my first time using Bailey and she most definitely met my expectations. She came MUCH earlier than I would have expected for the AM feeding as I usually go to work very early and feed the pets very early and she was indeed VERY early for the AM feeding of the pets. THANK YOU Bailey! I highly recommend her to anybody that is seeking a very reliable/honest person that would be in contact with you if need be which is important to me. I look forward to using Bailey again and appreciate her taking care of my pets. Lastly, I think Rover can be deceiving in part as the name leans toward caring for dogs. Bailey was taking care of my cats and it was perfect.”

Susan took wonderful care of our Belgian Malinois, Lucy, while we were away. Anyone familiar with the breed knows they require an experienced, attentive, and caring person, and Susan gave us complete confidence that Lucy was in good hands. She kept us updated, made sure Lucy was well cared for, and gave us real peace of mind throughout our trip. Knowing Lucy was safe and happy allowed us to relax and enjoy being away. We couldn’t be happier with the care Susan provided. She is reliable, caring, and clearly loves animals. We would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone they can trust with their pet. Thank you, Susan, for taking such great care of Lucy!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
