“Kelly is the absolute best! Anytime we have to go out of town, we know that our dog is in the best of hands. Constant updates and communication the entire time. We are worried that our dog is always sad to come home because she gets so spoiled staying with Kelly.”

“Chiann was wonderful with Rover. He was very happy to see her when I brought him to her house. I received several videos throughout Rover’s stay and it was obvious that he was having a lot of fun. I will definitely have Rover stay with Chiann again.”

“Robert watched Mia at his house overnight for a few nights. He has a great fenced in backyard, perfect for our pup to run and stretch her legs. Mia came back happy and tired out from her running vacation ? We would definitely use Robert again!”

“Hailey and Potato were wonderful hosts to our dogs, Marley and Luna. Luna is a bit shy and Luna was able to open uo and play with Potato. Hailey sent just enough photos and updates throughout the visit and was very accommodating with the scheduling. The girls came back extremely happy and had a wonderful time with their stay with Hailey. Her yard is perfect and she is very efficient with drop off and pickups. I would definitely have our girls stay with Hailey again!”

“Ralph was great! He’s friendly and fun and you can tell he genuinely loves dogs. Howie spent 5 nights at his house. Ralph always kept us updated and sent lots photos all day every day. Howie was spoiled with a giant backyard, lots of cuddling, treats and other pups to play with. We will definitely use Ralph again!!”

“Omg! What great people and cool setup they have for the dog. True dog lovers! Our Abby feel in love with them, between the walks, treats and attention we felt she was in heaven. We received about 30 pictures plus about ten videos. Several of them made us as a family laugh out loud because it showed how comfortable she was with them. I’d recommend them to anyone and have recommended them to our neighbor already.”

“Caroline and Samuel were fantastic with my dog Netty. They were flexible with pick up times and they genuinely care about your dogs well being and happiness. The updates they sent made me smile and reassured Netty was in good hands. Their dog Winnie is adorable and eager to play with your dog any chance she gets! 100% recommend booking with them! Will book again soon. Thank you for a great experience”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities for over 20 years. As a neonatal nurse practitioner, providing attentive, compassionate care is part of who I am, and I bring that same level of responsibility and love to every pet I watch. I’m the proud owner of Kona, my friendly 9-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei mix, and I have two young children who have grown up around dogs and are gentle and respectful with animals. Because of my flexible schedule, I’m available most days of the week and can provide plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or simply relaxing with people, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. About: I’ve always wanted a bigger pack. Caring for your dog like family gives them a loving home away from home while fulfilling my lifelong passion for dogs. I work from home during the week so I have the flexibility to give your fur baby play and bathroom breaks as their needs dictate. I have a spacious backyard equipped with 20ft. tie outs for supervised fun in the sun. Two to theee walks a day in the Avondale neighborhood as weather permits.
About: I have loved and cared for dogs for many years. During college, I spent five years working in a veterinary office where I gained valuable experience. I have a friendly Golden retriever who enjoys having other dogs around (large or small). I have cared for dogs belonging to our friends and family while they travel and understand how important it is to leave your pet with someone you trust. I provide a safe, comfortable home where your dog can be a part of the family while enjoying our spacious fenced yard and receive plenty of attention. Our two children are older and comfortable with dogs. They understand how to be respectful around dogs so your dog will be joining a calm, family-oriented home. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine and will do my best to make your dog feel at home while you're away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily life because I am home much of the time and enjoy having dogs as part of our family routine. I have the flexibility to give boarding dogs plenty of attention and outdoor time. I am able to accommodate each dog's normal routine as much as possible, including feeding schedules, medications, playtime and bedtime. My goal is for your dog to feel comfortable in our home rather than staying in a kennel. Our home has a large fenced yard where dogs can safely play and explore. My friendly Golden Retriever enjoys playing with friends. I keep my boarding groups under 2 dogs so I can give each dog individual attention and maintain a calm environment.
“Cris displayed remarkable understanding and flexibility. He exceeded our expectations, very accommodating, going the extra mile in providing exceptional care. He consistently kept us informed and did an excellent job looking after our dog. When we came back, our dog appeared well cared for and genuinely happy. Both Cris and his wife treated our dog with upmost kindness and care. If you're looking for someone to take care of your fur baby, I strongly recommend Cris, he's truly exceptional.”

“Ron took very good care of our dog, Morse! We received lots of updates and pictures. Morse loved the big fenced in yard and played well with Ron’s dogs. Ron even bought special daylight savings cookies for the dogs to mark the “holiday”. We had a great experience and will be back again for sure.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
