“Carla and her family are incredible! I was in Cleveland for work and unexpectedly needed a dog sitter She was super helpful and understanding. She took my dog for walks every day, even though she barks at every cat or dog she sees when she’s on walks She sent me videos and updates without me having to even ask. I’ve never had a dog sitter before so I was kind of nervous about texting everyday because I didn’t want to be annoying, she willingly sent me updates and even offered to allow me to come visit when I miss her. I definitely recommend! Five stars”

“Kyra is perfect for our dog Dakota “Koti”. Koti has stayed with her twice and loves her. I think the feeling is mutual! We never want to use anybody else.”

“Jenni takes such amazing care of our dog. It is easy to see how comfortable Lucy is and how thoughtfully she is cared for. She gets lots of exercise and we love seeing all the pics of her -and the fun that she is having!!”

“We had such a great experience boarding our dog with Shannon and Robert. They made it easy from the start! You can tell that this is a family of dog-lovers, which brings so much comfort when leaving your baby behind. They updated us daily with pictures and tidbits on how the stay was going. Their home is calm, clean, and comfortable. We're so grateful for the love and care they gave our boy while we were away. We look forward to becoming a repeat customer & I will recommend Shannon and Robert to any and all friends in the future!”

“Stephanie was awesome! She let me bring Ruby out to meet her and her husband before the stay. Ruby enjoyed her 2 dogs and stephanie even sent me pictures the whole stay!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and have over 15 years experience of taking care of dogs for friends and family. I have experience with dogs with special needs such as seizures, post surgery care, and administering medication. I offer Boarding and Doggy Daycare on weekdays and weekends June through August. I am a teacher on Summer break, so your dog will get plenty of love and attention! I offer drop -in visits, walking, 7 days a week throughout the year. I welcome dogs of any age and any size!!!! In your home I can feed, play with, cuddle, and walk your dog. In my home, I can do the same! Your dog will also be able to run around and burn off energy in my fenced in backyard. I have a large sized crate so I can also crate your dog if needed or you can bring one if you'd like. I have two children, 9 and 11, and a 3 year old dog named Lily. She is a super sweet 70 pound pittie mix and is is great with other dogs. In order to provide a safe environment for everyone, your dog MUST be good with other dogs and children. For care in my home, I require a meet and greet to make sure everyone gets along. *This is a non-smoking home!
“Leonardo was a wonderful host. He took excellent care of my Maltese, kept me informed by sending photos, and was very accommodating—welcoming my dog practically at the last minute.”

“Chelsea is amazing with responsiveness and attentiveness. I felt very sure that my dog was being taken care of appropriately and lovingly while away on vacation. She sends updates and makes sure your pet is also happy while you’re away.”

“Ron sent us regular updates of Henri with pictures! He made sure that Henri was cared for and had the best time. Henri got tons of attention, play time, and treats! He loved the fenced in yard to run around in with the other dogs!”

“Michael and Regina were wonderful sitters and cared for our dog like their own! We are so happy with the level of care and attention they gave her. We also loved receiving all of the pictures knowing she was in good hands. Highly recommended!”

“Bailey always comes back from Rachel's house so happy!! He absolutely adores her. She is wonderful with him, she's a great communicator, and she's just a really kind person. I can't recommend her enough. Thank you Rachel!!”

About: I got my first puppy for my 10th birthday. She was entirely my responsibility. I fed, bathed, and trained her. She was a huge white shepherd and the sweetest thing on paws I still miss her. Since then, I’ve had many, many dogs and cats through the years. I’ve been through dog training school several times. I currently have three full-sized Goldendoodles who are reasonably well trained, although they are still way too friendly. I’m retired and available about any day except Sunday afternoons: noon church service. I get my groceries delivered, so I’m here most of the time. I try to walk one of mine every day, weather permitting. I would walk your pup before I walk mine. I also have a fenced-in back yard where the dog run and play. My house is dog friendly, and I’m not overly concerned with dirt. I also have the world’s best vacuum cleaner to deal with it and all the hair. lol I have a large fenced-in back yard with river rock instead of grass, so mud is not a problem. My three friendly Doodles love racing around, especially in the snow, and they would love to add your dog to the fun. At the end of the day, we all go upstairs and sleep in my room with a baby-gate blocking the door, so there is no house roaming overnight. I also have room for crates if that’s what your dog needs to feel comfortable. I have one cat who is comfortable around dogs and knows where to hide if necessary. Please have your dog be familiar with cats or at least won’t attack her if she tries to make friends. I can accommodate special diets and know how to use a pill gun for medications.
“After finding out our usual sitter is no longer taking in dogs, we had to find someone new. Enter Frank… We went for a meet-and-greet and found that he and his dog Oreo would be a good fit for our dog’s week-long “vacation”. We are so happy that we left our Sheldon in Frank’s care. He updated daily and included pictures many times. It seemed that Frank made Sheldon feel right at home - sitting on his lap, sleeping in his bed. When we went to pick him up, Frank even gave us a homemade wooden dog bone with Sheldon’s name and a little picture of his face painted on it, which brought me to tears because the picture looked exactly like Shel, plus I wasn’t expecting such a sweet gift along with his good care all week. We will definitely leave our dog with Frank again, and highly recommend others do as well.”
About: I have a 5-year-old chocolate Lab boy and a 4-year-old Maine Coon boy. They’re best buddies, super friendly, and always happy to make new friends! I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was very young age. I work from home Monday through Friday with a flexible schedule. My cat and dog are best friends, they’re very good boys and always welcoming others. Fenced yard with 0.6 acer backyard, so the dog friend can run and play outside. While your pet is in our care, their safety is our top priority. However, accidents can occur. If your dog becomes injured or injures another animals pr person, We will notify you immediately. Owner is responsible for all veterinary costs and medical decisions. Aggression, biting, or repeated dangerous behavior may result in early pickup.

“Archna kept our two large dogs for us while we were on a long weekend trip. She was wonderful - you can tell she really loves dogs. She was flexible with drop off/pickup times, and provided daily updates with photos. Our babies came home tired, and everyone knows a tired pup is a happy pup. We would definitely use her again next time we need them boarded.”

“Oakley is a new rescue and I wasn’t familiar yet with his needs and limitations. Rachael was very knowledgeable and professional and knew exactly how to handle him by slowly introducing him to other dogs. She has a large backyard with different sections to accommodate Oakley when he’s not feeling too social. I highly recommend Rachael!”

“Amanda was amazing, kept me posted all the time about Loki and send me pictures of him so I could see how he was doing. He was definitely being loved amd spoiled like if he was home with me. Very glad I found her for Loki's care while I was away.”

“Riya is the best. Barkley felt instantly comfortable with her and her pup, Archie. She was so kind to help us on short notice. She took great care of Barkley, sent photos, and gave us the perfect amount of communication. Highly recommend her and will definitely connect with her again!”

“Sarah and Brandon were absolutely wonderful! They took amazing care of my dog during her week-long stay, and I could really tell they treated her like family. They sent regular updates, photos, and responded quickly whenever I had a question. It gave me such peace of mind knowing she was in great hands. I highly recommend Sarah and Brandon to anyone looking for kind, reliable and attentive pet sitters!”

Aur and Andy were incredible sitters. Our original sitter had to cancel last minute, and we were scrambling to find a replacement. As soon as we saw Aru's profile, we had a great feeling it would be the perfect fit for Luke-and we were right. They kept us updated with adorable photos, which really put us at ease. Luke had a fantastic stay and even made a new friend, Lincoln. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We have 2 very different pups and Ron was up for the task of watching them while we travelled! And we couldn’t have asked for a better sitter (and dog pal in Dack!) Between hikes, car rides and walks around the neighborhood - he kept each of our dogs entertained! And we appreciated all the updates and pictures - truly a vacation for them too! Ron gave us peace of mind knowing they were well loved and cared for! I’m sure they can’t wait to come back! Thanks Ron!

Alison was incredible!! She sent me several updates on Mia during my trip, with pictures! I didn't even have to ask how she was doing. And I could tell Mia had a great time and was well taken care of. And she was flexible with my pickup time when I got delayed. I will absolutely be booking Alison again - highly recommend!!
We can't say enough good things about Morgan and her husband! They went above and beyond for our dog, Sora. Not only did they make him feel right at home, but they also kept us updated with frequent pictures and messages that truly helped ease our minds. It was so comforting to see how happy and relaxed Sora was in their care. It's clear they have a genuine love for what they do. We're so grateful to have found such a caring and reliable sitter and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best care for their pup.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in OH ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
