“Amanda is a wonderful dog walker. My beagle loves to pull and sometimes reacts to other dogs. Amanda found no difficulty walking him. She is not only comfortable and knowledgeable about dogs but it’s also apparent how much she loves dogs. I will also use Amanda to dog sit for me because she has such a great rapport with my playful beagle.”

“Brian is awesome! Such a huge help to me and such a gift to my 5 month old puppy. The walks while I'm at work during the day are so beneficial for my pup so she's not stuck in her crate all day, plus she's getting extra leash training on top of it! Brian is very reliable, friendly, and knowledgeable. Hiring Brian to walk my Sadie is the best decision I've made in a long time.”

“Susana was great! My dog Bella, warmed right up to her. Very responsive and reliable. She also sent plenty of photos which I appreciated. I would definitely book her again next time!”

“Alicia did an excellent job, she was very patient, loving and caring. She showed much compassion towards my dog who wasn't as willing to go with her. She soon did and together they had such a great time on there walk. I would HIGHLY recommend.”

“Madelyn is so great with Bernie. It was raining earlier today, and Bernie normally won’t go outside. Not only did he go out with her, he went on a long walk. Thank you!”

About: I have grown up with a dog in my house since I was born. I have taken care of neighbors and friends dogs while they have went on vacation or just out of town for work. Since moving away for college and now graduate school, I am looking for my dog fix since I cannot own one myself With the summer starting and vacations coming up I will do my best to be available for your dogs. I do have other responsibilities such as school and work but I am always 100% with my clients if I will be a good fit for the stay/drop or not. If you are looking to book with me but see my availability is different then what you’re looking for, please still send me a message and I will do my best to accommodate to make it work! Since I am not able to host dogs at my current place of residence, this will allow the dog to feel more comfortable with a stranger coming to take care of them while the owners are away for however long. I will adjust to their routine so they hardly notice the owners are gone. They will receive all the belly rubs and love they could ask for until their owner returns home
“Upon meeting Carrie she was kind and professional, on time for my fur babies walk and my dog really liked her. I will definitely contact her again when I need a service in the future. Thanks Carrie!!”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for two dogs in my home at the same time, including my own dog and a young Bernese Mountain Dog. I took care of all their everyday needs, including walks, feeding, playtime, and plenty of time outside when the weather allowed. I also consistently worked with both dogs on basic training, commands, and good walking habits. They were both quick learners, and I really enjoyed helping them build new skills while keeping training positive and fun! I have a very flexible schedule and have a lot of control over when I work. I am a substitute teacher, a volleyball skills trainer at T3 Performance, and occasionally work at a restaurant/bar when it fits into my schedule. I am also a head high school volleyball coach for Fairview, so during volleyball season I am typically at the school for about three hours in the evenings. Outside of that commitment, I’m able to adjust my schedule and plan my availability around the needs of the pets I’m caring for! When caring for pets in a client’s home, I will make sure to follow their normal schedule and any instructions you leave for me. This can include feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, medications if needed, and lots of love and attention! I can also help stay consistent with crate training, basic commands, or other routines you are working on at home. I know every pet is different, so I’ll take the time to learn their personality and what makes them feel most comfortable. I will also send pictures and updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is safe, happy, and being well cared for!
“Allan was great with our dog! Very punctual, consistent communication, and helped us give medication when we found out our dog wasn’t feeling too well. He spent the whole time with our pup and would highly recommend!”

About: Hi! My name is Evelyn! I have taken care of all sorts of animals my whole life, From big dogs to small dogs and cats! I love all animals and I love giving them the care and attention they deserve! Your fur baby will be well cared for and safe with me! <3 I currently am attending nursing school and I work in a hospital as well! On the days I’m off work or not in school I love to help where I can!! I cannot except pets into my home at this time as I have a small apartment with 3 animals! But I most certainly will come to your home, and care for your pet!! Whether you need me to take your pet on a walk, feed them, play with them! That’s what I’m here for :)
About: I have experience helping with both family and friends - dog sitting and housesitting! I enjoy long walks daily so adding a dog into the mix would be great. I work at a local hospital and have a lot of flexibility due to multiple days off. If you need any additional information about myself don't hesitate to reach out to me. I'm that person that most dogs gravitate towards so you won't go wrong choosing me to take care of them. I work only 3 days a week which leaves me with a lot of flexibility during the week and weekends. I decided I needed something fulfilling and enjoyable on my days off and will have continuous days I can dedicate. I have many years of taking care of close friends and family’s animals, I also have nannied previously for families that also have dogs/cats. I treat everyone’s animals as if they are mine. No one should ever feel unsafe or hesitant about leaving their animals with someone and I aim to erase that fear for the owner(s).
“Tyler is a great dog walker! He is very patient, communicative, reliable and awesome with larger breeds! I have an American Bully and he takes time to play with her and lets her sniff around on their walks. Really grateful for his weekly drop ins and walks with my pup! Tyler and Cashmere, have become great walking buddies. 10/10!!”

About: I say the above because for many years, my long time dog buddy, Shelby (pictured in the photo I'm holding), loved to ride in my car, right by my side. Shelby passed away in 2018 and I miss her so much, every day. In 2019, I rescued a blue heeler/beagle mix, Nova; then in 2024, a shepherd mix, Holly. Dogs have been my companions for more than 40 years, and I have loved caring for, walking, playing, vacationing and just plain hanging with them. . I truly love dogs. They are one of humankind's most noble and steadfast animal friends. I would very much enjoy taking your best friend (or friends) for a walk. I have always enjoyed the company of my canines...and I'm sure I'd feel the same way about your four-legged pals. Plus, getting out with them is great exercise...for both dog and human! I am semi retired, so I have much flexibility in the hours that can be devoted to dog walking. I walk my own dogs in all kinds of weather, which is necessary given the variable climate here in NE Ohio! In my own home, my dogs get out for walks at least three times a day, we well as potty breaks where necessary. They have crates where they can freely go to when they wish to. Most important is that the dogs and I adhere to a stable, regular routine, including feeding and playtimes.
About: I have fostered for the APL for year's. I have had several dogs throughout my life & have the perfect arrangement to host your pet. Great safe neighborhood for walking. Dog I treat each pet as if it’s mine. I’m available for last minute as I know having Pet’s myself how things can pop up unexpectedly. Your dog(s) will be safe warm & secure in my home & if any training to reinforce I’ll gladly assist! I’m retired & have plenty of free time to spend with animals, I’m an animal lover, they are not for eating but to be embraced & loved I will walk if they are leash trained (don’t pull) I can also use a crate if needed for your pet. Small dogs allowed on furniture & bed.

“Trish is wonderful. This is our first time trusting our Argentine Mastiff with anyone and we couldn't have picked a more perfect person. Trish is very accommodating, communicative, and incredibly gentle & kind. Our girl warmed right up to her and respects her. We will continue to utilize her services and highly reccomend her to anyone else in the Bay Village, OH and surrounding area. Thanks Trish.”

Emilee was so great with our dog, Lou! She was so patient with her when she was anxious during their first meeting. She gave Lou time to warm up without being too forward. She was very detailed in her messages to me and took the sweetest pictures! I have already booked Emilee for our pup again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
