“Can’t say enough about how much of a dog whisperer I feel Maddie is! My dogs love walks but also are not too crazy about rain so while they still went on a short walk Maddie still gave them some great attention in the house afterwards. Thanks Maddie!”

About: I first got into this career by helping a neighbor walk their dog for an hour everyday and pet sat for them when they would go out of town I quickly learned that this is something I really love to do and that I'm passionate about I love being able to help my neighbors and people in my community feel secure when they need their Fur babies watched or walked while they are away on vacation or at work I've had a wide variety of pets growing up I am a HUGE animal lover from Big dogs, small dogs, cats, caged critters of all sorts even a cow! So I'm not shy when it comes to taking care of your family member I love them all I currently have 2 cats and 2 bunnies of my own I'm currently a stay at home mom I own a couple different businesses with my husband and in school for real estate I'm almost always home and always available especially last minute my schedule is very flexible! I currently offer dog walking and pet sitting in my clients home When I come to visit your Fur baby I will always give you any updates you ask for I also don't mind video calling if you're missing them extra and I always send an updated Picture when I leave If your furry family member has a specific diet or has to take medication as long as you show me what they need I don't mind doing that as well

About: I’ve been caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities for over 20 years. As a neonatal nurse practitioner, providing attentive, compassionate care is part of who I am, and I bring that same level of responsibility and love to every pet I watch. I’m the proud owner of Kona, my friendly 9-year-old Lab/Shar-Pei mix, and I have two young children who have grown up around dogs and are gentle and respectful with animals. Because of my flexible schedule, I’m available most days of the week and can provide plenty of attention, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. Whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or simply relaxing with people, I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. “Brian was right on schedule this morning! He is very knowledgeable when it came to the issues I am having with my pups. He gave me lots of tips and tricks to work on with them. He will be my go to guy in the future!”

“Shadia is awesome! I appreciate all that she does for our dog. When she comes over, I think our dog is excited to see her. Shadia gives us info and a picture in her communication with us.”

About: I say the above because for many years, my long time dog buddy, Shelby (pictured in the photo I'm holding), loved to ride in my car, right by my side. Shelby passed away in 2018 and I miss her so much, every day. In 2019, I rescued a blue heeler/beagle mix, Nova; then in 2024, a shepherd mix, Holly. Dogs have been my companions for more than 40 years, and I have loved caring for, walking, playing, vacationing and just plain hanging with them. . I truly love dogs. They are one of humankind's most noble and steadfast animal friends. I would very much enjoy taking your best friend (or friends) for a walk. I have always enjoyed the company of my canines...and I'm sure I'd feel the same way about your four-legged pals. Plus, getting out with them is great exercise...for both dog and human! I am semi retired, so I have much flexibility in the hours that can be devoted to dog walking. I walk my own dogs in all kinds of weather, which is necessary given the variable climate here in NE Ohio! In my own home, my dogs get out for walks at least three times a day, we well as potty breaks where necessary. They have crates where they can freely go to when they wish to. Most important is that the dogs and I adhere to a stable, regular routine, including feeding and playtimes.
“Otter was over the moon happy to see Olesja after a couple days out of town. This week they worked on bike reactivity and practiced his inside manners at a local boutique! I love that all of their walks are a combination of fun and training.”

“James was very easy going and patient with my puppy Moka. He took her for a nice extended walk, fed her and most of all, allowed her to warm up to him before he took her out.”

“Amanda is a wonderful dog walker. My beagle loves to pull and sometimes reacts to other dogs. Amanda found no difficulty walking him. She is not only comfortable and knowledgeable about dogs but it’s also apparent how much she loves dogs. I will also use Amanda to dog sit for me because she has such a great rapport with my playful beagle.”

“Gabee was fabulous! She came to meet bogey a couple of days before the first walk, and was so receptive to everything we told her about him! She sent updates and photos throughout the walks, overall amazing first experience working with her!”

“Carrie was absolutely wonderful! She was very patient with my lap mix who tends to be more timid and I worry about. I can’t thank her enough for the patience and will definitely be using her when I’m away!”
“Ellen did a great job walking my dog! She was on time, followed instructions, and communicated with me! Quincy had so much fun and is very excited to see Ellen again for another walk!”

About: I have taken care of and raised my families dogs since I could walk! If your dog needs an extra human best friend, look no further! It is the best part of my day! I have a relatively open schedule aside from traveling on occasion. I am very quick at communicating should anything unexpectedly come up. I’m always focused on each pets needs and how I can make them comfortable. I am great with dogs of all sizes and energy levels!

Emilee was so great with our dog, Lou! She was so patient with her when she was anxious during their first meeting. She gave Lou time to warm up without being too forward. She was very detailed in her messages to me and took the sweetest pictures! I have already booked Emilee for our pup again!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
