About: Ive been caring for dogs my whole life with my family animals and also pet sitting for friends. Im very comfortable with all breeds! Im your girl for long walks or extra snuggles. I recently moved to Ohio from Oregon and am looking to fill my free time meeting new furry friends and getting to know the area with long walks with your dogs or traveling to new neighborhoods to care for your pets. I will care for your pet however you instruct me to. My goal is to make them feel as comfortable and loved as possible while you're away!
About: I have grown up with a dog in my house since I was born. I have taken care of neighbors and friends dogs while they have went on vacation or just out of town for work. Since moving away for college and now graduate school, I am looking for my dog fix since I cannot own one myself With the summer starting and vacations coming up I will do my best to be available for your dogs. I do have other responsibilities such as school and work but I am always 100% with my clients if I will be a good fit for the stay/drop or not. If you are looking to book with me but see my availability is different then what you’re looking for, please still send me a message and I will do my best to accommodate to make it work! Since I am not able to host dogs at my current place of residence, this will allow the dog to feel more comfortable with a stranger coming to take care of them while the owners are away for however long. I will adjust to their routine so they hardly notice the owners are gone. They will receive all the belly rubs and love they could ask for until their owner returns home

About: I have grown up with all different types of dogs. I had a Yellow Lab, two Great Danes, and I had an 8 month old beagle rescue for a few months. I grew up walking my dogs, neighborhood dogs, and family members dogs. I took part in training all four of my puppies, and I have always been one to enjoy walking my dogs, even the 130 pound Great Danes! Since I grew up with dogs in my home, I have lots of toys, dog beds for all sizes, and places for them to stay if needed. I have always loved dogs, and it would be a pleasure to give your dog(s) exercise and take them for walks when available. I am currently a nursing student at Cleveland State University, as well as a part time job at the Cleveland Clinic, so I am usually more available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, as well as weekends. I have toys, dog beds for large and small dogs, as well as a crate for the dogs who might need it! I live in Lakewood, so walking any dogs around the neighborhood as well as different parks is convenient and safe!

About: Grew up in my childhood home with dogs. I have been around them my whole life. I have dog sat for friends and family when out of town. When taking care of others fur babies, I like to focus on the routine that’s been build and go based on that. I currently am a full time lab technican and has the weather gets warmer, I enjoy going on strolls in the evening after work and on my days off. I figured having a fur buddy for company would be a great way to spend my time. I usually have three days off a week so I’m flexible. When dog walking I would prefer to stay in the community of the client. If extra care is needed such as playing or feeding while client is out or busy, I would not mind at all.

About: I’m a dog mom to three rescues (a dachshund, pit mix, and Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix) so I’m very comfortable with different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve also volunteered at City Dogs for the past year, which has given me experience with dogs of all temperaments, including anxious and high energy pups. I previously cared for a senior rescue dog, so I understand the extra patience, gentleness, and attention they need. I’m also a nurse, which means I’m calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and very attentive to safety and well-being. I also have a 14-year-old cat at home, so I’m comfortable caring for cats and understand their unique personalities, routines, and needs. I treat every dog like my own and focus on making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine! I work part-time as a nurse four days a week and am typically home by around 2pm. This allows me to be available for afternoon walks, evening drop ins, and most weekends, plus I have one weekday fully open each week. For house sitting, the longest I’m away from your home is about 8 hours (including my commute), and I always prioritize making sure pets are comfortable, safe, and well cared for while I’m there. I provide care in my clients’ homes so pets can stay in the environment they know and feel most comfortable in. I do my best to stick closely to their usual routines so everything feels familiar and low stress. I’m very mindful of safety, whether that’s being aware on walks, keeping doors and gates secure, or making sure pets are always supervised. I follow all care instructions carefully and treat your home and pets with the same respect I would my own. I also send regular updates and photos so you always know how your pet is doing!!
“I’m new to rover and was a little nervous but Thomas was so good with my pupper and communicated great! I appreciated his photo updates and him asking questions to make sure he was covering all his bases.”

“Tyler is literally amazing! First off me and my boyfriend messed up the key situation so Tyler can help us with our puppy and Tyler drove all the way to my job to come get my keys to still help us with our puppy! Tyler left us notes of our puppies time with Tyler and helped clean up any messes our puppy made, he very communicative and helpful!”

About: I've had dogs most of my life and continuously in my adult life, including my two current dogs, Luna, a shih tzu mix, and Logan, a pekingese mix. Taking care of dogs has become so ingrained into my daily routine that I can't imagine life without it, and I will offer the same care and consideration when taking care of your dogs. I work from home full-time, with largely flexible windows where I can stop by and walk or care for your dog. My work meetings never run longer than an hour, so I can usually work with your dog's preferred schedule. I am the primary caretaker of my wife and my two dogs, including the daily feeding, walks, letting out, and mess clean up. I'll take care of your dog as if it were my own and treat them with the love and respect they deserve.
“Mitchell is the best dog walker/cat care giver we have had on Rover, even though all of our experiences have been good. He was easy to work with, took great care of both our cat and dog and their meds while we were gone for a week, gave detailed (and entertaining) reports, and photos daily. Highly recommend.”

About: I have had dogs my entire life and have dog sat many pups in the last 4 years! I love watching dogs and currently have my own dog! I work full time, in the office 4 days a week. I’m usually gone from about 7:30-4:45. Outside of work, I always prioritize a walk with my pup once I’m home! And usually can be home for the remainder of the night. I will care for the pets I watch however the owner prefers! I can offer a loving sitter when needed and will make sure the dogs get lots of exercise, play and cuddles!

“Trish is wonderful. This is our first time trusting our Argentine Mastiff with anyone and we couldn't have picked a more perfect person. Trish is very accommodating, communicative, and incredibly gentle & kind. Our girl warmed right up to her and respects her. We will continue to utilize her services and highly reccomend her to anyone else in the Bay Village, OH and surrounding area. Thanks Trish.”

About: Hi! My name is Maddy! I’ve always had dogs in my family growing up, big and small, and I have numerous friends with dogs that I have looked after. I have taken care of and/or owned bulldogs, doodles, mutts, bernese mountain dogs, shih tzu’s, pit bulls, and more! Also have experience watching multiple dogs at a time. I WFH full-time on eastern hours, so I have the ability to take early and mid-morning lunch breaks. I also sometimes have flexibility in the late afternoon. Willing to provide all the normal necessities: quality play time, food/water, walks, whatever your dog likes most! Cannot board dogs in my home unfortunately due to regulations.
About: I have been caring for animals since I was young! I grew up with tons of animals and have always been a major dog lover! I have a 5 year old golden retriever who is extremely friendly, playful, and loving and would love to have a friend to play with for day, a night, or a weekend! I have 2 young kids that are also obsessed with all animals! I am a stay at home mom and make my dog, and the dogs staying with me, a priority! We go on a morning, afternoon, and evening walk and some evenings go to a dog meet up! I have my own puppy and care for other dogs as my own! I will respect any rules that you have for your pup and make your pup as comfortable as possible when you’re away!

Michael is an awesome care provider for my dog Sirius! I highly recommend his services. He communicates clearly, is very consistent, thought and most importantly very kind. Unfortunately we have to move and will no longer be able to have him take care of Sirius. I wish him the best!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
