About: Hi, my name is Katie! I grew up with dogs and have been around them my whole life! I have dog-sat and cat-sat for several family members and friends. I ran track in college so I will keep your pets active! I am also more than happy to send you photo updates of your pets throughout the day if you’d like :) I am currently working remotely and have flexible availability! Please reach out with specifics about times/days you are looking for help with and I will let you know if I can be there! I want to help you with your pet care needs! I am happy to work with your fence, leash, crate, feeding schedule, etc. requirements! Your pet will follow the same rules with me as they would if you were home :)
“This was my first time using Rover, and I’m so glad I got to use Maddie. She took such good care of my dog during their time together. She’s a dog mom through and through and knew all of the important questions to ask before their first walk. She actually went above and beyond on a few occasions 💩. Maddie provided thorough feedback after their walks and alerted me to anything I might need to monitor. I trusted her completely with my dog and my home.”

“Dena has been amazing. She's been walking my dog twice a week for a long while and I'm so sad we're moving out of the area. Dena is wonderful with all types of dogs including those with behavior issues, has training expertise, is caring and my dog adores her. If I say "Friend Dena's coming," she races to the door and cries from joy when she sees her. I highly recommend her!”

About: I've assisted in taking care of my parent's dogs for years, from a grumpy old man dog to a chaotic 6 week old puppy, whether that be playing, making food, going for walks, and cleaning up accidents. I also have experience with provided medicine as needed. I am very flexible with timing as long as I know a week prior, but if it's short notice, I am mainly available in the mornings up until noon. I make sure to play, regularly let them go to the bathroom outdoors, feed them at appropriate times and if they want their space then I respect them.
About: I’ve had a family dog in my life as long as I can remember. Currently own a well socialized and trained German shepherd. She loves walks and meeting new dog and human friends. Currently working night shift (7p-7a). I am very flexible to check in on and walk dogs during normal business hours. Message me for your daily walking needs. I have a pet of my own who loves to go on walks, well socialized, and is crated when I am not home. I am very active outside of walking/running my dog.
“Carrie has been awesome with my dog. I know he’s a little bit of a wild child sometimes but she’s been so good with him and it’s helped me out tremendously as my husband and I have a very busy work schedule. Could not recommend her more!”

“Gracie was awesome! She is very attentive and flexible with my schedule! She even held an umbrella up for my dog while it was raining! Definitely recommend her to take care of your pets!”

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family was always fostering dogs in need of a home and spending time with them was my favorite part of the day. Family, friends, and neighbors always knew they could rely on me to watch, walk, and love their pets like my own (taking probably too many pictures of the adorable fluffers.) Because I’m currently between apartments, my schedule is incredibly open and flexible right now! I have plenty of free time during the day and week to focus entirely on your pet’s needs, routines, mid-day walks, and playtime. I care for pets in your home by adapting to the environment they are already comfortable in. Through the experience with pets of my own, I prioritize safety by double-checking locks and doors, following feeding instructions perfectly, and keeping a clean space. I make sure your pets get plenty of supervised playtime and attention, and I'll send you lots of pictures so you never have to worry about how they are doing!
About: I have had a dog my entire life. I helped provide senior care for my childhood lab who had issues walking and have self trained two puppies. I have had a cat for nearly 7 years and have cat sit for several friends and neighbors. I work remotely from home so I am am available when your pet needs me. I am a night owl while my partner is an earlier rise pets have someone awake at almost all hours. I have a fenced yard although I never leave my pets outside unattended, some sections of fence are less secure for smaller dogs or professional escape artists but can be temporarily altered when needed. I also provide walks and indoor playtime.
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was able to walk, they are my passion with a career in wildlife rehabilitation in mind! I currently have dogs, cats, snakes, spiders, and a gecko. Working with a variety of animals in my time has allowed me to grasp certain aspects of animals that allow for smoother interactions. I currently work 3 times a week, days depending on schedule. I work with dogs for a living. I’d like to take on clients especially on the days I don’t work for some extra money. I have experience with walking, crating, putting gear on safely, basic training, and much more. For cats I know how to safely get cats into carriers, administer topical and oral medications, basic first aid, noticing concerning behaviors, take care of accidents, scoop boxes, and much more.
About: PLEASE READ: I have started my own dog walking and pet sitting business and would like to grow it there rather than on Rover. If you are interested in hiring me, please search on Facebook or Google "Rachael's Dog Walking and Pet Sitting" or message me for the links, my website, or email. You can still read much of my current information here. I worked as a professional pet sitter for one of the biggest pet sitting companies in the Cleveland area for 2.5 years and have done pet sitting on my own since then. I have experience caring for many different types of animals of all ages and sizes. I have taken care of them when the owners were on vacation; feeding, giving medicine, walking, etc. I also do dog walking visits during the day for people who are at work or sometimes still home. I have had my own dogs, cats, and other small animals my whole life. I currently have a very part time remote job as a social media coordinator, and have recently started my own dog walking and pet sitting business and also do occasional freelance graphic design and photo editing. I am mainly looking to work in mornings and afternoons on weekdays, but can occasionally do nights and weekends too. I am available for daily dog walking in cities near Olmsted Falls, and can do occasional pet sitting in farther cities. I have professional experience caring for animals and being in client's homes. Before I worked as a pet sitter, I even cleaned houses for 4 years, while people were away, so I can be trusted in people's homes. I always make sure to hold a dog's leash tight, and make sure no pets get out when I come and go through a door. I also always make sure the door is locked when I leave. I will meet you and your pets before services begin to go over everything so I know exactly what to do and make sure the pets get to know me first.
About: Ive been a go-to for taking care of friends and family's dogs for a while. Ive always enjoyed being around dogs and animals in general. I am currently unemployed and I just moved to Ohio from NY. I am very open to taking care of your animal! I would like to continue taking care of your animals when I do get a job. I care deeply for my cats at home in NY. With walking your animals, I would take them to parks, have them run around and enjoy the outside.
About: I grew up with a variety of dogs, from my first dog, a Boxer named Sky, when I was 9 years old, to Shih Tzus and a Boston Terrier in my teen and college years. I've loved every one of them for their unique personalities and am proudly a dog person! Aside from family dogs, I have dog sat for friends and family for over 10 years and fall in love with each one as if they're my own. I now own a 2.5 year old Boston Terrier named Becks, who loves a good morning walk (or a good lay in the grass while I stand there 🤪). I no longer pet sit, but would love to care for your dogs throughout the day to give you a helping hand! I work from home as a freelancer and am available to shift my schedule throughout the workday. I have my own car and am able to travel anywhere on the west side to check in on your pup and give them a nice break outside! I have worked as a pet sitter both in my home and client's homes. I will be responsible when entering your home, letting your dogs out, and will make sure to communicate in a timely manner throughout the process.
About: I have been around dogs my whole life from having my own to also being around my grandmas dog breeding. I have had my own two dogs for the last 9 years. I have used Rover sitters several times now for them for over a week at a time with great care. I hope to continue to do the same for others. I can provide medicine care with instructions, senior care, drop-in visits for most any animal and dog walking. I currently have a very flexible schedule any day and time of the week between kids school dropoff/pickup. Most any time you need me I should be available. I will always keep your pets safe and well cared for just like they were my own, even if they just need some company for the day.
“Tyler is a great dog walker! He is very patient, communicative, reliable and awesome with larger breeds! I have an American Bully and he takes time to play with her and lets her sniff around on their walks. Really grateful for his weekly drop ins and walks with my pup! Tyler and Cashmere, have become great walking buddies. 10/10!!”

- 94% of walkers can help with special care needs

- 99% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
