“Madelyn did an excellent job for us with our 10-year-old German Shepherd. She was on time for every walk sent us pictures and kept us updated. If you need a great dog walker that gives good care to your dog I would highly recommend her. She also gave our dog her medicine every day. A+”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life! I've cared for pets for years, helping with walking, feeding, playtime, and overnight stays. I love going on walks and enjoy a good amount of play time. Whether it’s a high energy dog or a senior, I adjust my care to fit their personality. I have a relaxed work from home environment that allows me the flexibility to attend and care for your pet. There will be no lack of attention when they're in my care. I allow dogs the freedom to roam my home and yard as long as they're well mannered. If not, then I have a gated and fenced area for them to roam in.

I will go the extra mile to ensure your pets needs are well taken care of. I am very flexible with sitting/walking arrangements and any special requirements. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, responsible, and reliable person to watch over your companion and provide a great experience, then I am a great fit and can’t wait to meet your lovely pet! I work from home most days so I am able to provide attention and constant potty breaks to your dog throughout the day, let me know if there is anything specific your dog needs in terms of routine! About: I’ve had dogs since forever, I love mine more than anything. My experiences dog sitting and cat sitting range from my neighbors and family to taking care of animals on my uncles farm. I love meeting people’s pets so it would be my pleasure to meet more!! My dog Ruby is 15 years old and I love her to death, I can’t imagine her being alone all day. I go to college full time at Cleveland State University. I do play in multiple orchestras as well, but although I’m busy I have time in between classes and in the afternoons/evenings that I struggle to fill! I would love to have a slow morning taking care of a pet, or going on a walk, so I am very flexible. I understand that all pets have their own personality, and honestly the best way to take care of them relies on me getting to know them. The quirks about pets are my favorite thing about them, and I am willing to work with any needs they have. I love spending time with any animal and making sure they feel loved and entertained.
About: I've assisted in taking care of my parent's dogs for years, from a grumpy old man dog to a chaotic 6 week old puppy, whether that be playing, making food, going for walks, and cleaning up accidents. I also have experience with provided medicine as needed. I am very flexible with timing as long as I know a week prior, but if it's short notice, I am mainly available in the mornings up until noon. I make sure to play, regularly let them go to the bathroom outdoors, feed them at appropriate times and if they want their space then I respect them.

Dena has been amazing. She's been walking my dog twice a week for a long while and I'm so sad we're moving out of the area. Dena is wonderful with all types of dogs including those with behavior issues, has training expertise, is caring and my dog adores her. If I say "Friend Dena's coming," she races to the door and cries from joy when she sees her. I highly recommend her!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
