“Dena was so great watching our Zulu practically last minute on Mother’s Day!! She played LOTS of frisbee with her …which is Zulu’s favorite thing!! We never have to worry about Zulu in Dena’s care!! P&B”

“Maura was wonderful. She was so attentive and sent amazing pictures. She’s reliable and has amazing communication. I will absolutely be using her in the future and I recommend her 100%!”

“Erin was great. Timely, great photo updates, and no news to report. Will definitely be reaching out to her again! That was the first time using Rover, and first time leaving my dog for a full weekend without a family member, and all went well!”

“Leah is fantastic. Very quick responses and you can tell how much she loves animals. She even makes homemade treats ? so grateful I found her and for how sweet she is to my puppy Duke. Will definitely be rebooking!”

About: I have had dogs my entire life so I’ve gotten very used to taking care of them and loving all kinds! I’m the person everyone in my family comes to for dog/house sitting while they’re out of town and it’s my favorite thing to do for them. I’m in between jobs right now so I have all the time to care for and play with your dogs/cats! I have a 3 year old son who’s been around dogs since the moment he was born and he’s very friendly. I have two dogs of my own at home but they get along kindly with other dogs. I have a fenced yard and a son who loves to go on long walks!
“Gracie is amazing! We will definitely be booking her drop-in services again for our 3 dogs. She came over before our trip to meet our pups and get a run down of their routine. Then at each drop-in visit, we got an update and great photos! Gracie is reliable, trustworthy, and there's no doubt she loves dogs! Five stars! Highly recommend!”

“Josie was great all around. She took the time and effort to come a couple days before for a meet and greet. This allowed us to get acquainted and for her to meet our dog and home. The visits went well and our dog seemed to really enjoy his time with her. She was on time, took multiple photos, and made the most of the time she had with our dog. Fully recommend Josie, as we will look to her for all future needs!”

“Mitchell is my first pet sitter experience and they were fantastic. I requested 30 minute check ins for my 2 (normal) cats and they did just that. They even walked me through the process of handing off keys (very important thing to consider!) When I got home both my cats were chill and happy and getting photos and videos of the cats every day while I'm out camping is just the best thing ever. Good times, I will book again and I recommend Mitchell for your (and your pet's) peace of mind.”

About: I’ve had a family dog in my life as long as I can remember. Currently own a well socialized and trained German shepherd. She loves walks and meeting new dog and human friends. Currently working night shift (7p-7a). I am very flexible to check in on and walk dogs during normal business hours. Message me for your daily walking needs. I have a pet of my own who loves to go on walks, well socialized, and is crated when I am not home. I am very active outside of walking/running my dog.
“My pups love Devon! I also foster and she’s up for taking care of 3 dogs if I need her to. She is easy to communicate with, reliable, and provides great care for my pups. Highly recommend!”

“Jordan is excellent with our two cats when we go away. He is extremely dependable and always spends good quality time with the kitties. We would be lost without him. Would recommend!”

About: I have taken care of kittens, cats, senior cats, dog and senior dogs. I am comfortable with administering medications and litter box care. I have raised 6 fur babies of my own as well as 3 puppies and a grand puppy! I have availability early mornings, evenings, and weekends. Working from home allows me to have a more flexible schedule and can plan for multiple daily visits. I respect your home, follow all instructions carefully, and prioritize your pet’s safety, routine, and well-being. Whether your dog or cat is social, shy, senior, or requires medication, I will provide patient and compassionate care tailored to their needs.
About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life - mostly well tempered labs we got as puppies. Now, my husband and I have a pitbull who we rescued a few years ago that has taught us so much about patience and unconditional love. She’s needed a lot of training and nurturing due to her abusive past and we accepted the challenge. Now, I am comfortable with all kinds of training tools such as prong and e-collars, I understand how to read behavior and body language and feel very confident caring for dogs that have different behavioral challenges. I work frequently with a trainer (with 30+ years experience) who has really changed our dog’s life for the better and has taught me how to be a more confident and responsible dog owner/caretaker. Rover is my secondary gig - I am a full time personal trainer. I work mostly afternoons and evening but am available during the day during the week and most weekends. I frequently update my calendar, so make sure to check out my availability prior to booking! I can not keep dogs in my home as our rescue dog is not friendly to other dogs, but I would be happy to care for your pet in your home/neighborhood, which I am sure is the most comfortable environment for them anyway. I love to get my steps in and was an athlete for many years so I can take dogs for short or long walks depending on the owners desired activity level for their pet! I'd be happy to walk around your neighborhood or head over to a local trail or park as well!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Berea
Margaret was fantastic! She checked on our two cats while we were on an international trip. Her thorough reports + photos made us feel comfortable that our guys were in great hands while we were away. Extremely reliable, communicative and will absolutely be rebooking in the future!

Stars aligned in us finding Nanci when we needed a last-minute sitter for our vacation. Her experience with not only anxious rescue dogs, but specifically hounds, allowed us to leave for our trip knowing Kali would be in the hands of someone who understood her idiosyncrasies. Nanci was timely with each visit, provided updates and photos each day, and even got Kali to go on a daily walk (which is sometimes even a feat for us). We will definitely use Nanci for future pet sitting needs!

Omg I can't say enough about Cassie D. First time we went away for 9 days and left our Great Dane Tess. Cassie was absolutely amazing. We received pictures at every visit. She took such good care of her. We came home to a happy dog. Can't say enough good things about Cassie. Truly amazing

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Berea. On Rover:
- 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
