“I have really appreciated Makaila taking care of our cat while we were gone. She always goes above and beyond, and even went out of her way to get supplies for Buddy when we ran out. She is truly amazing and will always book with her! Your pet is in excellent care with her! Thank you Makaila!”

About: i’ve taken care of dogs as long as I can remember, cats since I’ve moved out of Home, and families farm animals since I was a young girl. I loved every second of it. I work as a server during the week, and a bartender on the weekends. I am off pretty much all day, working late at night while the animals sleep. Perfect animal mom! I am very observant of what an animal might it need from me. If they want to cuddle or be pet, played with, or pictures taken steps away! I don't discriminate i love them all!
“Alexandria has been wonderful with my Ellie! Her notes during her drop in visits are detailed and she makes sure to send lots of pictures of their time together. Highly recommend!”

“I was worried about having someone watch my temperamental weiner dog. However, Sharon knew exactly how to handle him! She is very knowledgeable and helpful. I feel so at ease knowing he is in good hands when I’m away for work! She is also very personable and easy to talk to. Thank you Sharon!”

“Maureen was awesome taking care of my sweet angel while I was in Hawaii! The time difference is 9 hours so she made it very easy and stress free while also sending a lot of great pics. I would recommend her to anyone.”

About: I have taken care of dogs from all sizes and breeds. I enjoy taking them for walks, playing fetch or giving them all the belly rubs they want! I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life and have helped take care of my friends and families dogs while they are away. Depends on day and time, I can do 3 times a day if needed. I work full time but am available before work and after work Monday through Friday. I am also free Saturdays and Sundays whenever needed. I will always make time for your pets as you are trusting me to watch your loved ones while away. I would always make sure your pets are cared for by feeding them, giving them water and while out for a walk making sure their safety is my top priority. Playing with them with their favorite toys or giving them belly rubs before leaving to get as much energy out as possible!
“Alicia is always great! She responds quickly and does everything she can to help out, even on last minute notice much of the time. She is great with our dogs and such a nice person. 100% recommend!”

“Gracie is amazing! We will definitely be booking her drop-in services again for our 3 dogs. She came over before our trip to meet our pups and get a run down of their routine. Then at each drop-in visit, we got an update and great photos! Gracie is reliable, trustworthy, and there's no doubt she loves dogs! Five stars! Highly recommend!”

“I can not say thank you enough. I have had such anxiety leaving my girl to go back in the office three days a week unexpectedly and Jeanie really has made this transition smooth and takes care of my Freya and loves her. Thank you so much.”

“Jennifer dropped in and fed my two kitties. She was prompt, sent me photos of how they were doing, and did additional duties such as litter box cleaning. I felt at ease while out on travel, knowing that my kitties were taken care of so lovingly.”

“Nanci is one of the best that Rover has to offer! She really listens to everything that will make our dog happy and he definitely is:-) he loves her and is so excited when she comes to visit. She makes it okay that we have to leave. I highly recommend her and I will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve been around dogs my whole life and share a special bond with them. I volunteered at a street dog rescue organization in Mexico, where I helped stray dogs recover and find loving forever homes. I’ve also cared for friends' dogs while they were away or couldn’t walk them. I’m gentle, patient, and enjoy getting to know each dog’s unique personality. As a photographer, I often find myself at the computer, so taking a dog along on my walks is a win-win! It provides a much-needed break while giving a furry friend the exercise and companionship they deserve. I mostly work from home, so my schedule is pretty flexible. Just let me know what you need, and I'll see if I can make it work. I prioritize safety on every walk, keeping dogs on a leash. During drop-in visits, I make sure they have water, attention, and a calm, comfortable environment. I'm more than happy to keep you updated with messages and photos.
About: Hi! I’m Robert. I’ve had animals all my life (dogs, cats, fish, lizards, hermit crabs, raised praying mantids and butterflies). I trap and spay/neuter feral cats (TNR), feed birds, planted a pollinator garden in my yard…love nature and appreciate the relationship between humans and animals. My small dog Tyson is 11 or 12 years old and has some special needs (anxiety, hip-problems, blind in one eye, and I am his 3rd owner), so I know patience and compassion when it comes to senior dogs. Two of my cats I’ve had since they were kittens, and the third cat was abandoned by a neighbor and chose me as her new human when they left her. Happy to accommodate your companion’s special needs, and will be honest with you if there is something I don’t feel confident about. I also use two water fountain bowls, so your friend will have access to clean, moving water. I am a bar tender and have been doing that work since 2006, 12 years at my current bar. I work part time there and have a good amount of free-time which I can use to take care of of your dog. I have a large fenced in yard (176 ft of 6ft tall wooden fence) with plenty of shade, water bowls, central air and heating. Pets are free to lounge anywhere in my house, but I do prefer dogs to be crated if I am away for their own safety, and peace of mind for me :) Please let me know if you have any rules you have for your pets at home, feeding schedule, potty-break schedule, etc.

About: I have two dogs myself. I have taken care of neighbors dogs for over 5 years and in my home town I am always called on when someone needs some quick care for a dog. I am a college student and athlete(swim). My current schedule allows time for caring for animals in between classes. Walking pets allows me to be outside and stay active. I will be sure there are no dangers in the homeowner’s property before going outside or on a walk. Walking pets allows me to get out of my dorm and be active.
About: Nurse Care, But for Your Pets! As a nurse, my entire life is dedicated to the art of caregiving. Day in and day out, I am trusted with the health, safety, and well-being of people during their most vulnerable moments. I bring that exact same level of clinical attentiveness, deep empathy, and unwavering responsibility to looking after your beloved pets. I'm currently working part time. So I have flexibility in my schedule to care for your pet. And I look forward to doing so. Thank you Whether your pet requires precise oral medications, strict feeding schedules, or special physical accommodations, my professional background ensures it will be done accurately and safely.
“Kayla did an amazing job watching our dog and taking care of our house while we were away! She sent plenty of pictures and kept us updated. Kayla is reliable and so kind. Our dog loved her !!”

“My pups love Devon! I also foster and she’s up for taking care of 3 dogs if I need her to. She is easy to communicate with, reliable, and provides great care for my pups. Highly recommend!”

“Pierre was amazing! I put in a last minute request for Pierre’s drop in services during the holidays and he quickly responded. He sent multiple pictures per visit with my kittens being feed and litter boxes cleaned daily! He even grabbed my packages and placed them inside for me. Thank you, Pierre!”

About: I have a great deal of patience and love to give your pet. I have grown up with pets and come with over 15 years of experience caring for my own special needs dog which included administering medication twice a day and caring for her during and after seizures. I have taken the last several years off to focus my efforts on the stray cat community. Over the last several years I have rescued, rehabilitated and placed over 20 cats. I am always on time and I truly love animals of any kind. I have experience caring for small farm animals such as chickens and ducks. I can’t wait to meet your fury friend and help break up there day while you are away:) My schedule varies week to week but generally I am flexible and open any time Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I am available Tuesday-Thursday 4pm and on. I am flexible and like to know about the pets schedule and routine. I have a fenced in yard and access to lots of park areas.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Berea
Stars aligned in us finding Nanci when we needed a last-minute sitter for our vacation. Her experience with not only anxious rescue dogs, but specifically hounds, allowed us to leave for our trip knowing Kali would be in the hands of someone who understood her idiosyncrasies. Nanci was timely with each visit, provided updates and photos each day, and even got Kali to go on a daily walk (which is sometimes even a feat for us). We will definitely use Nanci for future pet sitting needs!

Omg I can't say enough about Cassie D. First time we went away for 9 days and left our Great Dane Tess. Cassie was absolutely amazing. We received pictures at every visit. She took such good care of her. We came home to a happy dog. Can't say enough good things about Cassie. Truly amazing

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
