About: As an animal lover, I know pets are family—not just animals. I take pride in giving them the same love and attention they get at home. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or just extra cuddles, I’m here to make sure your pet feels happy and stress-free while you’re gone. As an elementary teacher, I have a structured schedule that actually works really well for pet care. I’m available before and after school, in the evenings, and on weekends. During breaks and summers, I have even more flexibility, allowing me to provide extended care, walks, and drop-in visits. I treat every pet like they’re my own. I focus on making them feel loved, safe, and comfortable—whether that’s sticking to their usual routine, giving them extra playtime, or just spending quality time with them. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.

She kept me updated, shared wonderful photos, and spent genuine quality time with my two cats. I could tell they were well cared for and loved while I was away. So grateful. Thank you, Nicole :)

Gracie is amazing! We will definitely be booking her drop-in services again for our 3 dogs. She came over before our trip to meet our pups and get a run down of their routine. Then at each drop-in visit, we got an update and great photos! Gracie is reliable, trustworthy, and there's no doubt she loves dogs! Five stars! Highly recommend!

About: Hi! I’m Robert. I’ve had animals all my life (dogs, cats, fish, lizards, hermit crabs, raised praying mantids and butterflies). I trap and spay/neuter feral cats (TNR), feed birds, planted a pollinator garden in my yard…love nature and appreciate the relationship between humans and animals. My small dog Tyson is 11 or 12 years old and has some special needs (anxiety, hip-problems, blind in one eye, and I am his 3rd owner), so I know patience and compassion when it comes to senior dogs. Two of my cats I’ve had since they were kittens, and the third cat was abandoned by a neighbor and chose me as her new human when they left her. Happy to accommodate your companion’s special needs, and will be honest with you if there is something I don’t feel confident about. I also use two water fountain bowls, so your friend will have access to clean, moving water. I am a bar tender and have been doing that work since 2006, 12 years at my current bar. I work part time there and have a good amount of free-time which I can use to take care of of your dog. I have a large fenced in yard (176 ft of 6ft tall wooden fence) with plenty of shade, water bowls, central air and heating. Pets are free to lounge anywhere in my house, but I do prefer dogs to be crated if I am away for their own safety, and peace of mind for me :) Please let me know if you have any rules you have for your pets at home, feeding schedule, potty-break schedule, etc.

Brittany was great at communicating with me, especially because my cat is antisocial. I didn’t anticipate Brittany seeing her so she let me know that the food and water were being consumed and she was using the litter box. It made my travels much easier! I’d book with Brittany again.

About: I worked at a dog boarding and daycare facility for 5 years throughout highschool and college. I also fostered a young golden retriever who was a service dog in training. I am now a full time dolphin trainer so I have a wide variety of animal experience! I do work full time but I am completely available most of the time during my weekends (Sundays and Mondays). I love walking and exercising during my weekends and would love to have a furry friend join me! Dogs will never be walked off leash and we will avoid any other dogs in the surrounding areas. We can change our direction and turn the other way if needed.

About: I have spent my whole life around dogs and cats! I volunteer at a local shelter and have been around the shy, sick, and old of both dogs and cats. Im very brave and confident when handling them and will not fail in caring for even the unfriendliest of animals. One of my cats at home has special needs pertaining to hydration, so, your pets with specific medical care will be taken care of 100% adequately! As I understand the fear in being a parent to a sick furbaby. I’m currently an unemployed student, so, while I am home for the summer, I have infinite time to play with your fluffy loved ones :). All of my cats are indoor only, I have never and will never hit my pets, and my dogs were always entertained and well fed. I think providing your animals with love, attention, nutrition, and safety are the most important things going on in my home.

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for animals. I’ve also volunteered at a local animal shelter alongside my family since I was little, which gave me experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I currently work full-time at a veterinary clinic while also attending college full-time. I genuinely enjoy spending my free time with animals and would love the opportunity to care for yours! I have a fenced-in yard and a dog of my own. I’ve helped train my own dogs and have experience administering medications. I also cared for my own dog through cancer treatment, so I understand the importance of patience, compassion, and following medication schedules. I’ll treat your pets with the same love and care that I give my own.

About: PLEASE READ: I have started my own dog walking and pet sitting business and would like to grow it there rather than on Rover. If you are interested in hiring me, please search on Facebook or Google "Rachael's Dog Walking and Pet Sitting" or message me for the links, my website, or email. You can still read much of my current information here. I worked as a professional pet sitter for one of the biggest pet sitting companies in the Cleveland area for 2.5 years and have done pet sitting on my own since then. I have experience caring for many different types of animals of all ages and sizes. I have taken care of them when the owners were on vacation; feeding, giving medicine, walking, etc. I also do dog walking visits during the day for people who are at work or sometimes still home. I have had my own dogs, cats, and other small animals my whole life. I currently have a very part time remote job as a social media coordinator, and have recently started my own dog walking and pet sitting business and also do occasional freelance graphic design and photo editing. I am mainly looking to work in mornings and afternoons on weekdays, but can occasionally do nights and weekends too. I am available for daily dog walking in cities near Olmsted Falls, and can do occasional pet sitting in farther cities. I have professional experience caring for animals and being in client's homes. Before I worked as a pet sitter, I even cleaned houses for 4 years, while people were away, so I can be trusted in people's homes. I always make sure to hold a dog's leash tight, and make sure no pets get out when I come and go through a door. I also always make sure the door is locked when I leave. I will meet you and your pets before services begin to go over everything so I know exactly what to do and make sure the pets get to know me first.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Columbia Station choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Columbia Station with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Columbia Station. On Rover:

  • 96% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
