About: I have been taking care of pets for about 8 years now. Whether it be my own dog or my friends dogs, I provide high quality care to each pet I care for. In addition, I potty trained and crate trained my dog, as well as taught her all her fun tricks! I am in college and will be available to care for your pets throughout most of my days due to my classes being spaced out throughout the week. I place the utmost importance not only on pet care but also on respecting pet owners and their instructions. I aim to provide high quality care to each and every pet so that they are safe, healthy, comfortable and happy!

truly can't say enough wonderful things about Marissa! From the moment she came over before our trip to meet our dogs and learn their routine, we knew they were going to be in great hands. She treated our puppies like they were her own. Every drop-in was right on time, and she always sent updates with pictures, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. What really sets Marissa apart is how she handled an unexpected emergency. During the hottest week of the summer, our air conditioner stopped working with only 24 hours left in our trip. As soon as she noticed the house was getting too warm, she contacted us immediately. She went above and beyond, helping us troubleshoot the issue from a distance and refusing to leave our dogs alone until she knew they were safe. She even helped get the downstairs temperature back to 76 degrees. When she realized the upstairs was still much too hot for the dogs to be crated overnight, she didn't hesitate to offer to spend the night with them—without us even asking. That level of care, compassion, and dedication is something you simply can't teach. Knowing she was there with our dogs allowed us to relax, even though we were so far from home. She did an amazing job caring for both of our pups—our 150-pound lap dog and our demanding little pitty! They absolutely adored her, and it's obvious she genuinely loves the animals she cares for. If you're looking for someone who is dependable, caring, communicative, and willing to go above and beyond, Marissa is the one. We will absolutely be using her again, even for short day trips. Thank you, Marissa, for taking such incredible care of our babies. We are beyond grateful!

I really appreciate you stopping over and taking care of Murphy! Gabrielle checked in when she got there, gave him time to go to the bathroom, walked him and made sure he had water. My dog vomited once before she got there and she cleaned it up and even took a picture so I could know what was going on. I would definitely use Gabrielle again!

I am happy to share that barely took excellent care of my cat while I was away on vacation. I was extremely impressed upon our first meet and greet where she also brought her husband. Bailey took excellent care of my cat, brought in the mail, and sent timely messages with photos!! I came home to a clean house and a happy cat! I would highly recommend her to watch your pet.

About: I have grown up with dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish as pets. In addition to this, I have over two years of experience as a vet assistant at Westpark Animal Hospital. Being a vet assistant has improved both my dog and cat handling/care-taking skills. My family has also fostered puppies and I am a volunteer dog walker for CITY DOGS. I will be a sophomore at Ohio State in the fall and I am studying Animal Sciences on the Pre-Vet track! My hours at work this summer allow me to be relatively available throughout the week. I will be able to fit pet care into my routine before or after work, depending on the hours that I am scheduled for the week. I have 2 dogs at home and will be raising a Guiding Eye puppy this summer. My yard is partially fenced, but it would probably be better for me to drop into clients' homes for walks, playtime, feeding, etc. I'm used to my dogs being higher-energy, so I feel confident caring for pets of all energy levels.

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was able to walk, they are my passion with a career in wildlife rehabilitation in mind! I currently have dogs, cats, snakes, spiders, and a gecko. Working with a variety of animals in my time has allowed me to grasp certain aspects of animals that allow for smoother interactions. I currently work 3 times a week, days depending on schedule. I work with dogs for a living. I’d like to take on clients especially on the days I don’t work for some extra money. I have experience with walking, crating, putting gear on safely, basic training, and much more. For cats I know how to safely get cats into carriers, administer topical and oral medications, basic first aid, noticing concerning behaviors, take care of accidents, scoop boxes, and much more.

About: Hello! My name is Kelsey and I’m a 28 year old active CT technologist in the Elyria Area. I’ve had dogs my entire life and have helped caring for each of them. I’ve owned four Medium-XL rescue pups so far as well as a bearded dragon! I’m comfortable with any size or breed as I’ve helped care for chihuahuas up to Mastiffs. If you think I’d be a good fit for your pup I’d love to meet them! I’ve also helped care for cats as well and have House sat for others to take care of both dogs and cats. I love all furry friends and would be more than happy to meet and care for yours. I work second shift in the hospital setting and have availability until about 12 pm to care for all the fur babies. I like to start my mornings with a walk with my two pittie mixes and would love to fit yours into that routine as well! It’s important to know the animal(s) you’re working with and what their comfort level is. It’s my job taking care of them to keep them safe and fulfilled.

I was very happy with the services Tiffany provided watching our cats while we were out of town. One of our cats went into hiding and she went above and beyond trying to find her her. She reported in every day with pictures and stayed in touch with me throughout our time away. I'll definitely use Tiffany again for any future trips out of town.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in North Ridgeville choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in North Ridgeville with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
