DROP-IN VISIT: You must know how excited a pet gets when you first open the door. I can't say no to a quick play session or cuddle fest. After this friendly greeting, my routine is: - Clean and refill water bowl(s) - Follow feeding instructions - Playtime or reading time (depends on their energy levels) - Clean litter box - Check for any 'accidents' - Clean up any 'accidents' - Take out trash (litter and cleaning trash) - Quick goodbye to kitties - Follow home lock-up instructions BOARDING: I am renting a child/pet-free studio in Strongsville. There is a cat-favorite window showing the small farm and forest out back. My care routine is the same as drop-in visits, but there is more one-on-one time and ease of mind. Depending on your cat's personality, it can take a day or two to get comfortable in a new space. I am there for them patiently, respecting the time they need until they eventually relax in my cozy and quiet space.

Information Irma A. would like to know about your pet

I like to know your cat's temperament and feeding instructions. If boarding, it is best to drop off your cat with their food (diet change can upset them) and a favorite object so they are more comfortable with a new environment. I am only comfortable giving medication orally only (no injection). Drops/gels for eyes or ears are fine as well.

A typical day

BOARDING: 1 family at a time! My home is cozy and a great place for cat naps and fun play sessions. A favorite spot is by the window facing the forest out back. My desk is close by and is a great spot for cats. DROP-IN: Getting cats to work out with play time is necessary so they are not destructive or fighting with other cats. Cat wands seem to be every cat's favorite!

Cat care experience

What's the secret to befriending ANY cat? It's not just filling up their food and water bowls; its about respectful and positive interactions. I know cat body language and will interact with your pet as much or as little as they want. I love to provide some enrichment like playtime or reading time. Your cat will be safe and happy with me :) MY SCHEDULE: I am a homebody and do not like to travel. I currently work remotely, paint pet portrait commissions on the side. I take care of farm chores from 7:30 to 9:00 most mornings. I also go to church Sunday mornings (10:00am to 11:30am). MY HOME: I am renting a child/pet-free room in Strongsville. My window is a favorite resting spot showing the small farm and forest out back. My neighbor has 2 small dogs who have 3 cat sisters. They have access to the backyard, but will never interact with your pet. DROP-IN VISIT: You must know how excited a pet gets when you first open the door. I can't say no to a quick play session or cuddle fest. After this friendly greeting, my routine is: - Clean and refill water bowl(s) - Follow feeding instructions - Play or reading time - Clean litter box - Check for any 'accidents' - Clean up any 'accidents' - Take out trash (litter and food packaging) - Follow home lock-up instructions BOARDING: My care routine is the same as drop-in visits, but there is more one-on-one time and supervision since they're staying with me. Depending on your cat's personality, it can take a day or two to get comfortable in a new space. I am there for them patiently, respecting the time they need until they eventually relax in my cozy and quiet little home.

Irma always takes great care of my cat Bellus! She ensures my cat is well taken care of while I’m away and administers his medicine. She updates me with pictures each visit. I’ve been using Irma for a few years now and highly recommend her!
