“Kristi was wonderful! Her communication was excellent (and great photos, too!), and I could relax and know my cat was in good hands. My cat can be shy, but he took to Kristi immediately. I hope to work with her again.”

“Absolutely great! Helped us out on short notice, went with the flow for our senior dogs extra needs, and took great care of our boys! Thank you, we will be returning clients.”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover and have experience caring for pets of all ages and personalities. I previously lived with two energetic Black Labs, helped raise my German Shepherd from the time she was a puppy, and through my job with a police department, I regularly spend time around our community K-9. Being around so many different dogs has helped me become comfortable with various breeds, energy levels, and temperaments. I’m also a proud cat mom to two rescue cats, Opal and Jasper. Opal was rescued as a tiny kitten from a bus engine at my workplace in January 2024, and Jasper came into my life through a coworker who wanted to give him a loving home after realizing her own cat wasn’t a good match. Caring for them has given me plenty of experience with cats and their unique personalities and needs. What sets me apart is that I’ll care for your pets the same way I care for my own—with patience, love, and lots of attention. My career in public safety has taught me to be dependable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure, so you can feel confident your pets are in safe, responsible hands. Whether your pet loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply sticking to their routine, I’ll make sure they feel happy, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I have a rotating schedule and work 12 hour shifts. On the days that I work I am there from 6 am to 6 pm. My schedule rotates and is based on a Sunday-Saturday work week and is as follows: Work Sunday, off Monday-Tuesday, work Wednesday-Thursday, off Friday-Sunday. Then back to work Monday-Tuesday, off Wednesday-Thursday, work Friday-Sunday and so on. I know it seems confusing so if you have any questions about my schedule please ask me and I can explain it better! When I care for your pets in your home, I treat them and your space with the same respect I would my own. I know that pets are most comfortable in their familiar environment, so I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible. Whether that means feeding them on schedule, going for walks, playtime, administering medications if needed, or simply giving them plenty of love and attention, I’ll make sure they feel safe and cared for while you’re away. If requested I’ll also send regular photo and video updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your pets are happy and in good hands.
“Mitchell has watched the pups a couple times now and I couldn’t be happier. He’s great around the dogs, always communicates what’s going on in real time. It’s nice to be at ease when I’m away knowing Gladstone and Potroast are in good hands!”

“Believe it: Emily is a literal gem. She checked in on my cat Anise while I was out of town for almost a week. She communicated regularly and professionally. She’s a joy in person and would be a great addition to your pets extended family!”

“Erin was great. Timely, great photo updates, and no news to report. Will definitely be reaching out to her again! That was the first time using Rover, and first time leaving my dog for a full weekend without a family member, and all went well!”

“Leslie took very good care of my two kitties for a week, dropping in twice daily to feed and interact a bit with them while I was gone. She sent pics daily too, as well as brining in the mail and even going the extra mile to do a bit of watering on the back patio per my request. I would highly recommend Leslie!”

“Melissa was absolutely wonderful, and I am so thankful we found her! She completely eased my anxieties about leaving my two senior, high maintenance dogs for the weekend. It was obvious from the start that she is a true dog person. She followed all of my instructions, communicated clearly, and kept me updated with pictures throughout each visit, which gave me so much peace of mind while we were away. She was patient, attentive, and more than capable of handling my senior boys and all of their quirks. I truly hope Melissa is willing to watch my pups again in the future because I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and trustworthy sitter!”

“Caitlin is responsive and communicative! I know my Millie is in good hands whenever Caitlin can sit for her. Plus she updates with pictures and videos. Thanks for all that you do for Millie!”

“Amber is our go-to person on Rover to care for and visit with our four-legged family members. She is a great communicator and dependable when we aren't around. We've hired her multiple times and will continue to do so. 😸”

About: I noticed I’m always offering to take care of everyone’s pets in my personal life (HUGE animal lover) so I figured it’s time to join Rover. I’ve taken care of other pet owners cats, dogs, and rabbits in the past. I’ve had cats, dogs, and rabbits as pets as well as hamsters, goats, ducks, and fish growing up. I grew up in a small town in Ohio and my grandparents had a farm so I was around farm animals often. I don’t currently have any pets of my own as I work 10 hour shifts 4 days a week (nurse) so I would absolutely LOVE to watch and walk your pets whenever I’m not at work! Since I work long hours and am not in a good position to get a pet of my own at this time, I would love nothing more than to share the love with your pet(s). I do have a full time job but I’m available on weekends and evenings after approximately 6:30pm (perfect time for walks!). I also have one off day during the week that rotates. I do not have any pets of my own so your pet would have my full attention (also a plus if your pet does not get along well with other pets).

“Trish is wonderful with our 13-year old yellow lab, Emma. Emma is on various medications and requires some special care. Trish has her figured out perfectly. Highly recommend!”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Rocky River
Kristi was incredibly above and beyond. Besides the normal care of feeding and cleaning litter boxes (which is no small task for 3 large cats) and she takes it to the outside trash cans. Kristi spends time with them each day. Petting, playing with the toys, brushing them as well. On top of the cat stuff, she brought mail and packages inside. She even watered all our balcony flowers, which is not in the job description. Kristi is amazing, trustworthy and reliable. Everyone should seek her out for their pet care. Thanks again Kristi. I will definitely seek you out again

Elizabeth was amazing!!! This was a last minute request and she couldn't have been more accomodating and easy to work with. You can tell how much she cares as her updates were always thorough. So happy to have found her, she'll be our go-to sitter moving forward!

Arissa did a fantastic job caring for our senior cat, who requires medical injections. She is a great communicator, detail-oriented and pleasant to work with. She is a self-starter and I was able to relax while we were gone because she did such a good job. Highly recommend!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
