“I was worried about having someone watch my temperamental weiner dog. However, Sharon knew exactly how to handle him! She is very knowledgeable and helpful. I feel so at ease knowing he is in good hands when I’m away for work! She is also very personable and easy to talk to. Thank you Sharon!”

“My pups love Devon! I also foster and she’s up for taking care of 3 dogs if I need her to. She is easy to communicate with, reliable, and provides great care for my pups. Highly recommend!”

“Ethan helped us on short notice at a time when we're dealing with family medical emergencies and we so appreciate it! Something as simple as getting out on a walk for our anxious pup was much needed. Thank you!!!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since i was 14, i currently own a senior pitbull that i rescued 5 years ago, and we also own a black lab and terrier mix we have trained since puppies. I am a hairstylist, looking for another income, and whats a better way then to combine my love for animals and exercise then to provide a service for dog owners I would love to take your dog on walks, play with their favorite toys, give them approved snack, and feed them lunch or dinner if needed.

“Maggie did an exceptional job with my two dogs . I booked the wrong dates and needed her that same day and she made it happen. Her patience and flexibility is top notch. Dependable and trustworthy! I will definitely be a repeat customer.”

About: I’ve had animals my whole life and genuinely love being around them. I currently have three dogs (a terrier, a mastiff-lab mix, and a pittie) who I’m obsessed with, plus my black cat who is my best friend. I also foster puppies and senior dogs, which has given me a lot of experience with pets who need a little extra patience, care, or attention. I’m super comfortable adjusting to different energy levels whether that means keeping up with a crazy puppy or going slow and gentle with an older dog. I used to work at a doggy daycare where I cared for 100+ dogs at a time, feeding, cleaning, walking, and just making sure everyone was safe and happy. That experience taught me how to handle all kinds of breeds, sizes, and personalities. Overall, I’ll treat your pets like they’re my own and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well taken care of :) I’m a college student so my schedule can be pretty flexible, especially during the summer and school breaks. That’s when I’m really looking to do more pet care because I love having something active and fun to fill my time, and being around animals is honestly my favorite thing. I’ll treat your pets just like my own, with lots of love, attention, and care. I know every pet is different, so I always make sure to follow whatever instructions you leave, whether that’s feeding routines, crating, medications, walks, or anything specific to their needs. I’m very attentive to their behavior and comfort level, and I’ll make sure they feel safe and relaxed in their environment. I also keep things clean and consistent so your pet stays happy and stress-free while you’re away.
“Anna is fantastic in every way! She was always so great at communication and letting us know anything going on with our pup. You can tell she really cares about all the details and loved our dog with all her heart.”

About: As an animal lover, I know pets are family—not just animals. I take pride in giving them the same love and attention they get at home. Whether it’s playtime, walks, feeding, or just extra cuddles, I’m here to make sure your pet feels happy and stress-free while you’re gone. As an elementary teacher, I have a structured schedule that actually works really well for pet care. I’m available before and after school, in the evenings, and on weekends. During breaks and summers, I have even more flexibility, allowing me to provide extended care, walks, and drop-in visits. I treat every pet like they’re my own. I focus on making them feel loved, safe, and comfortable—whether that’s sticking to their usual routine, giving them extra playtime, or just spending quality time with them. I also keep owners updated with messages and photos so you always know how your pet is doing.
“Allan was great with my dog, Pippi. At the Meet & Greet he was very attentive to the details about what we needed during his drop-in. Pippi liked him right away and he was very good. You can tell he really enjoys being with pooches and giving them affection. He was very prompt in is arrival and sent seeral cute photos. Would highly recommend Allan!”

“Tyler helped us for a drop in visit with our 12 week old puppy! He was very attentive. We had a video call before hand to go over all instructions. I would definitely book him again!”

“Im a sitter on Rover myself and was so happy with the how much time and care she provided my boys while I was away. She stayed the whole time and sent lots of photos too. She went the extra mile too and left treats and water outside when my cat wanted to stay outside in my backyard when she was leaving. (Which, btw, is something he does regularly to me) I would definitely contact again on my next getaway.”

“Sam has walked our dogs several times now when we were going to be away for long days in the mountains. San does an excellent job, always keeps us updated to know how the dogs are, and is flexible and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend!”

“Tyler was very fast at communicating back to me and very knowledgeable. I could tell my pup had a good time during her drop in, she was all tuckered out. Exactly what I was looking for. Definitely will rebook with him.”

“Mitch has been so wonderful with our nervous dog, Bandit! Bandit takes a while to warm up to strangers, and Mitch has done a great job giving him space but also winning over his affection. He gives great, detailed notes at the end of the check in and is very responsive over text as well for scheduling. Looking forward to using him for an upcoming overnight visit!”

“Carrie worked hard to engage our two cats. They seemed content when we got home much later than expected, without fighting or displaying bad behavior. (Our cats do not get along) She kept up with their meds and messes and the house looked great when we got home.”

“Erin was great. Timely, great photo updates, and no news to report. Will definitely be reaching out to her again! That was the first time using Rover, and first time leaving my dog for a full weekend without a family member, and all went well!”

“Christina has been awesome spending time to get to know my two dogs, even though one of them is people-phobic. I appreciated her suggestions on ways to try to ensure my little dog takes her medications. She is very caring and enjoyable to work with.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - North Olmsted
We are really thankful to Alicia for taking such great care of our precious boy. She followed the provided instructions really well and it's clear that she is very passionate about animals and her profession, and she's very professional and personable. We would certainly recommend her services to others and would utilize them in our future need as well.

Erica was amazing! We set up a meet and greet and our cat is very selective of who he immediately goes up to and he wasted no time meeting her. We were able to enjoy our trip and not worry at all if our cat was cared for and well taken care of! Will be using her again! We really appreciated the amount of pictures she sent us.

Allan was truly a lifesaver. He stepped in at the last minute and helped us through a tough situation with our two kitties, and we’re so grateful for his flexibility and kindness. He went out of his way to accommodate our requests and handled everything with professionalism and care. We would absolutely recommend him to anyone in need of reliable, compassionate help.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in North Olmsted. On Rover:

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
