About: I grew up working at a dog kennel and have always owned dogs. Some of my best friends are trained professionals and I've learned a lot from them. I can do walks, playtimes and certain medications. I can do over nights just not at my house for the time being. I only work Saturday and Sunday but am Still available early Sundays and later after 9 as well as late (after 12am) on Saturday. My days are pretty open during normal pet care hours and outside of them. Dogs love me, and I understand dog body language. My dog was over 100 lbs and I can handle him just fine. I've raised, fostered and lived with all types of dogs, cats and other pets, mostly rescues, so I have tons of experience when it comes to understanding and respecting their individual personalities, needs, etc. Over the years some of my pets have had some serious health issues (including cancer), so I know what that is like too, and have no problem caring for dogs and cats with special needs and am meticulous in following directions concerning medications and special care. About: I’m a dog mom to three rescues (a dachshund, pit mix, and Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix) so I’m very comfortable with different sizes, personalities, and energy levels. I’ve also volunteered at City Dogs for the past year, which has given me experience with dogs of all temperaments, including anxious and high energy pups. I previously cared for a senior rescue dog, so I understand the extra patience, gentleness, and attention they need. I’m also a nurse, which means I’m calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and very attentive to safety and well-being. I also have a 14-year-old cat at home, so I’m comfortable caring for cats and understand their unique personalities, routines, and needs. I treat every dog like my own and focus on making them feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my routine! I work part-time as a nurse four days a week and am typically home by around 2pm. This allows me to be available for afternoon walks, evening drop ins, and most weekends, plus I have one weekday fully open each week. For house sitting, the longest I’m away from your home is about 8 hours (including my commute), and I always prioritize making sure pets are comfortable, safe, and well cared for while I’m there. I provide care in my clients’ homes so pets can stay in the environment they know and feel most comfortable in. I do my best to stick closely to their usual routines so everything feels familiar and low stress. I’m very mindful of safety, whether that’s being aware on walks, keeping doors and gates secure, or making sure pets are always supervised.
