“Katherine is always kind, flexible and generous with her time. Many times she was able to help take care of our pets as a last minute request, and often goes out of her way to accommodate us. We trust Katherine 1000% with taking care of our little loved ones. We always book with Katherine and will continue to recommend her services to anyone we meet.”

“Megan is so sweet, and my dog loves her. She is so attentive to my dog’s needs as an older dog and always sends me the sweetest pictures and updates from their walks together. I feel very safe having Megan care for my dog when I’m gone.”

“Janet was quick to make friends with my dog, and their walks together are quickly becoming an event my dog looks forward to. I am beyond pleased. So much so that we’ve booked the next month.”

“Chloe came through super last minute for me to walk my dog! Very reliable, experienced, and stayed in contact with me the entire time! She also sent photos which I really appreciated. This was my first time using rover and my dog’s first babysitter! Thanks for making our experience so great! You are great at what you do!!! 🐶🫶🏻🩵”

“James was very easy going and patient with my puppy Moka. He took her for a nice extended walk, fed her and most of all, allowed her to warm up to him before he took her out.”

“Tina was so helpful! She responded to my request on Rover almost immediately which was very helpful since it was a last minute request. She came over for a meet and greet so that she could understand our house and meet Ashe. Her walk with Ashe was exactly 30 minutes and Ashe seemed happy as could be from the photos she sent us! Excited to keep working with Tina.”

“Makenna was tasked with walking my very energetic, young, German Shepherd. She did not disappoint! My dog seemed to love walking with her, and Makenna has been very respectful, patient, and loving to my dog even though they just met! Makenna follows instructions to a T, is very thorough with providing me with updates, and has the utmost respect to your property and your pet! If Makenna can handle the energy of my dog, and provide it with good mid day safe exercise, she can do it for any dog. I would highly recommend Makenna for anyone’s pet care needs!”

“Nicole was the perfect dog walker! She was really communicative and willing to work with me as plans changed and She did really well handling my dog during his walks. 10/10, will definitely utilize her in the future whenever I need a walker.”

About: I have had dogs all my life. I grew up with a small dog, rescued a dog 12 years ago, and currently have my own dog that I raised from a puppy, Archie. Together, Archie and I have taken numerous training courses, such as: FIT dog, Canine Good Citizen, Therapy Dog, Beginner 1 & 2, Agility, and more. Archie is well trained and I can work on commands with your dog, too, if you'd like. I have been watching dogs of all ages for roughly 12 years. I have experience giving medication. When your dog stays with us (me and Archie)- they will get plenty of exercise and are welcome to go on car rides with us. I work full time during the school year. I live close to work and can stop home if needed. My work day is roughly 8-3:30 Monday-Friday. I do not work weekends and will be available to spend the majority of the weekend with your pup! I can easily crate your dog if needed. I live in a duplex on the ground floor (so minimal stairs). I can close doors as needed to keep the dog in a smaller space. I have a front yard and a small, unfenced backyard, but your dog will be on the leash at all times for safety reasons.

I have a mostly remote & flexible schedule in my day with plenty of time to full attend to your fur baby & make sure they receive all the care they need. I will kindly & safely take care of your pets as asked, all while respecting the privacy of your home! Also send updates on your fur babies with photos!
About: I have been caring for dogs, cats, and different types of small mammals since I was a kid. I have experience caring for and walking large dogs, as I grew up with one. If your sweet pet needs any medicine I have some experience administering a couple different kinds! I'm free almost every day and most times, including weekends to help care for, exercise, and play with your furbabies! From 8 am to 10pm just let me know when you need me! I will watch and care for your pet in your home, ensuring they have everything they need and are safe and comfortable. If taking them outside I will keep a close eye on them and maintain a safe distance from other dogs or people I come across.
About: What sets me apart is that I’m home full-time and it’s just me taking care of your pet, so they get constant attention and one-on-one care. I’m patient, gentle, and experienced with both puppies and senior pets, and I always follow each pet’s routine to keep them comfortable and happy. It’s just me caring for the pets, and I don’t work, so pet care fits into my day really naturally. I have plenty of time for walks, feeding, playtime, and giving each pet the attention they deserve. I have a very clean house no smoking in the house I have a big yard in the front to play all day in. And my house is good enough space
“Taylor was wonderful with our Pugs! Lots of updates, photos and videos, the dogs were very well taken care of as was our cat. She stayed in our home for the weekend and was very lean and neat. She was able to give oral medication twice a day to one of our pugs with no issues. She was extremely friendly and loving with our pets and will definitely be using her again soon!”

“Nicole was great with my puppy! She agreed to a meet & greet so I felt comfortable. She was prompt & professional. I got pictures of their time together & valuable feedback. I will book Nicole again!”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
