Pets to me are not accessories in the house; they’re cherished members of the family! My priority for my own pets and my clients’ pets is that they are happy, healthy, and loved. It’s important to me that they drink enough water, are eating the right amount of nourishing food, and getting the right amount of play and rest! Beyond that, I like to let the pets take the lead regarding our interactions. If a pet wants snuggles, count me in! If a pet wants space, I can respect that and support them from afar.

A typical day
I love to stimulate pets physically and mentally. On walks, I like to let dogs stop and sniff interesting smells for mental stimulation. When cat sitting, I like to play with favorite toys, cuddle, and maybe even watch some cat TV!

I absolutely love animals! I grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, and even ducks! In my childhood household, we treated our pets as the much-loved members of the family that they were. In my adult life, I have continued this tradition by cherishing my own pets as if they were my children (because they are lol)! Whenever I’m out of town (or just out of the house for the day), I’m constantly thinking of my fur babies and what they might be doing. I love taking care of other peoples’ pets while they’re away because I know the pets love the attention and their parents can feel confidant about stepping out of the house! Whether the pets want to play, snuggle, or keep to themselves, it makes me so happy take care of them and make sure they’re happy and healthy!

Elinor has taken wonderful care of my dog, Nina. She is incredibly kind, attentive, and clearly loves animals. Nina absolutely adores her and always gets so excited to see her. Eli was awesome! She was so warm when I met her I had no concerns about her taking care of my pet cats. She sent regular updates of my cats so I knew they had the attention they needed while I was on vacay! My girls (cats) would agree. Will definitely be using her again whenever I leave town.
Elinor does an amazing job in taking care of my two, very different cats. She always spends a lot of time playing with and cuddling my 7 month old who needs a lot of attention. Meanwhile, she knows how to respect the boundaries of my senior cat while always ensuring to give needed medications. Knowing such a thoughtful, respectful individual is caring after my cats while I’m away gives me peace of mind.
