Pets are very similar to humans in that they love a routine and sticking to that routine. I am not looking to reinvent the wheel, but keep things as normal as possible. A better understanding of what the pet’s current routine is will help dictate what they need. Some pets like to snooze, others wake up with the sunrise. To each their own.

There is no complication too great with time and patience. I’ve worked with all sort of dog, from lovers to fighters and I’ve left every interaction with a new friend. Cats, well, we may not have left friends, but we left with an understanding and mutual respect for one another.
A typical day
Cleveland is known as the “Forest City” for a reason - while that may have once been because of tree lined streets, now it likely references the Metroparks that are available all throughout the area. If your pet enjoys the great outdoors and the weather permits, they will be able to dictate their walk and their limits. However, I also have a dog who enjoys not to follow the forest trail, but the trail of the sun across the floor - this of course results in a slower day of coffee, reading, and moving the dog bed throughout the day to follow the sun across the floor. Not to mention the other wide variety of tricks, trails, treats, and trouble we’d be able to get up to.

With about 10 years of combined experience in ER, General Practice, and Shelter Medicine there was something that I kept coming back to that was missing in the field - true in-home nursing care. My goal is to bring my expertise as a registered technician into the home for you with anything from oral or injectable medication administration, toe nail trims, anal gland expressions, etc. to ease the burden and stress of pet care. Also, living in a home with difficult dogs myself, I can understand the stress of finding someone who understands their pets specific needs. Having come from a background of Fear Free and Cat Friendly handling techniques, I am willing to take the time to find the plan that works for you and your pet.

Andrew gives us a peace of mind being away from our dogs and home. This is our 2nd time having him take care of our 2 dogs for overnight stays. We received updates and photos multiple times a day and enjoyed his summaries of the dogs’ activities. We hope Andrew continues to be available for future travel dates!
