About: I was a zookeeper for 15+ years and have experience with a plethora of species. I have fostered animals of all kinds through different rescue organizations. I am a large breed person who currently has a smaller dog and cat. I spent many of my zookeeping years training animals, and have experience with strong stubborn dog breeds. I thoroughly enjoy a senior pet who will cuddle on the couch while I drink my coffee. I currently work from 9-1:30, with a spouse that works from home. My schedule allows plenty of time for morning walks and afternoon love and care. I am available for boarding most days, and dog walking, house checks in afternoons. A large portion of my yard is fenced so there is plenty of room for your dogs to stretch their legs outside of walks. I have a 30lb senior dog at home who occasionally enjoys a new companion. Otherwise my children love animals and always enjoy a new playmate, while being respectful of their boundaries. I prefer crating dogs whenever we are not home, at least until we know them and how they interact with my pets. I have crates from small to XXL so no need to bring your own.
About: I have taken care of dogs my entire life. I love all breeds and spending time loving, caring and playing with different breeds. I hope to create a special and safe place for dogs 🐶🐶🐕🐶🐶 My schedule rotates each week I'm usually always free at least 4 days a week. I can modify times and open to adjusting for all dog needs I will care for you pets as I do my own with love and care. Let them express themselves and explore. We can take walks and plenty of potty breaks.
“Nancy is a true gem of a sitter! The pictures that she sent, and the notations kept me totally at ease the entire time she had my Cisco. Though I rarely use a sitter, I would recommend Nancy to anyone who wants a loving and safe environment for a special pet. I was really pleased that she took Cisco walking so often. You can trust your pet to Nancy.”

“I found Christopher to be genuine, caring and professional. Rudy isn’t quick to warm up to people, and he adjusted well to Christopher’s home. Christopher seemed take each dog’s needs into account to make sure everyone was cared for comfortable.”

“Pepper had a great time with Stephanie. This was our first time leaving her here and we were lucky to find Stephanie. She was very patient with Pepper's anxiety ridden persona. Pepper is a miniature dachshund, who doesn't like to be left with strangers. She did great with Stephanie and her fur baby. Thanks Stephanie!”

I look forward to meeting you and your pets and providing them with the same love and care I would give my own! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. “Adriana was great. She was always sending us updates with photos and videos of Luna. We could tell Luna was comfortable and having a great time there. We will definitely use Adriana’s services again.”

“Sarah does an amazing job with our two dogs. We went to Pennsylvania for about eight days and she took pictures for us, gave us updates and basically kept our minds at ease. It is so helpful to be able to go out of town and know our dogs are being taken care of. We would recommend her With no reservations .”

About: I’ve had dogs all my life, I’ve had all kinds of animals. I’ve had rabbits and guinea pigs, and many types of dogs. I am currently in school working on getting my vet tech certification, and I have worked at a pet boarding facility before along with a vet office! I am currently in school virtually and working full time doing detailing, so I have a very flexible schedule. I don’t start my work day until abt 10:30, classes are set at my own pace, and I typically finish my work day around 2:30/3 just depends on how long the detail takes me. So my schedule is very flexible and I have the ability to work around it! I live in a townhome apartment complex with 2 cats and a dog. I allow my pets access to everything in my home, same would go for your pets as well! My cats and dog are friendly, and I always leash my dog when taking him outside to use the bathroom or for walks. All my pets are spayed and neutered, and up to date on all their vaccines and on flea and tick prevention.
“Melany was a great sitter for my 11-mo Mt. Cur mix. She was responsive, caring, low-key and pleasant. Left my dog w her for 3 days and nights and when I picked her up, she was her normal, happy self; we were able to easily shift right back into our home routine. To me, that was evidence of an enjoyable stay for my pet. Melany sent pics each day as well, which eased my mind during vacation.”

About: I love all animals from cats and dogs to birds and horses. I promise to take care of your animals like my own. I have a six-year-old Apple head Chihuahua who is my world so I understand how nerve-racking it can be to leave your babies with someone new but I promise to put your nerves at ease as your furry family members will be so loved, even during a quick visit. My current job allows for flexible hours so I’m available and flexible towards pet care. I just graduated with my masters and I’m looking to do things that bring more joy but also bring some money. I have a very friendly Chihuahua who loves small dogs and cats if you’re for baby wants company. Or it can be one on one. I’m able to hike, walk, Feed cuddle or all of the above.

We’re so grateful to Brandy for taking such great care of Vinny! From the moment we left him with her, we felt comfortable knowing he was in good hands. Vinny clearly had a great time with Brandy, and it was so nice to see how happy and relaxed he was when we picked him up. Brandy was caring, attentive, and kept us updated while we were away, which gave us a lot of peace of mind. It’s not easy leaving Vinny with someone, but Brandy made the whole experience stress-free for us. We really appreciate all the love and attention she gave him. We would absolutely trust Brandy with Vinny again and highly recommend her! ❤️🐾

Christina was absolutely amazing with Milo! She kept me updated with messages and photos, and it was clear he was well cared for and happy the entire time. I would definitely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable and loving sitter.

It was our first time using Rover, but Juliana was a highly regarded sitter and so we entrusted our two dogs to her and it was a wonderful experience for us and them. Archer and Apollo were taken care of, and were treated as well as her own dogs. She provided any updates and plenty of pics, and followed any specific instructions regarding pills or activities to a “T”. We thank Juliana for her hosting and would absolutely use her services again in the future!

We found ourselves in a pinch with a last-minute trip and our regular sitter unavailable. Molly came through for us and did a great job taking care of our dog for a few days. She was reliable, responsive, and flexible. Our 11.5-year-old Labradoodle was happy, and we could tell she well-cared for when we returned. We would definitely book with Molly again and recommend her to other pet owners!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
