“We couldn't be happier with the care Mac and Rusty receive from Sarah. We truly appreciate her reliability, kindness, and attention to detail. We highly recommend Sarah to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate pet sitter!”

“Claire did such a great job checking in on our 2 cats! She was able to meet before hand to meet them and she was very detailed in her report cards. Would definitely book with again and recommend her!”

About: As an aspiring veterinarian and Animal Science student, I've always had a passion for caring for animals. I've been the proud owner of my Shih Tzu for nearly 7 years, giving me firsthand experience with daily care, grooming, exercise, and understanding a dog's unique needs. I also regularly assist in caring for a well-loved Goldendoodle whenever his owner is away, making sure he stays on his normal routine, gets plenty of attention, and feels comfortable while his family is gone. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always strive to provide safe, loving, and reliable care. I'm currently an Animal Science student, so my class schedule includes breaks throughout the day that give me flexibility for walks, drop-in visits, and spending quality time with your pets. I'm also a member of a cheer team, but I plan my schedule carefully and will always make sure your pet's needs are met. I understand how important routines, attention, and reliability are, and I'm committed to providing dependable care and keeping you updated while you're away. I understand that trusting someone with your pet and your home is a big decision, and I know that trust is something that's earned over time. I'm patient, dependable, and committed to building that trust by treating your pets with the same love, respect, and care that I give my own. Their safety, comfort, and well-being will always be my top priority. I also understand that being away from their owners can be stressful for many pets. That's why I believe caring for them in the comfort of their own home can help provide a sense of security and keep their routine as normal as possible. My goal is to create a calm, loving environment where your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for until you're back home. I also believe in keeping owners updated with messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.

“Justin did a fantastic job taking care of our kitties Phoenix and Cici while we were away! He was extremely professional, communicative, and very thoughtful. 5 stars all around!”

“Michelle was awesome! She took care of my fur baby so good and took on the job last minute when a family member left me in a lurch as I was leaving the country. She treated my baby kind and was compassionate and followed instructions. I would definitely utilize her services again!!”

“Erika did an amazing job taking care of our two dogs and cat. She sent pictures everyday and spent a considerable amount of time with them outside despite the snow storm we had. She was flexible as we extended our trip a few more days and went above and beyond by bringing packages in and taking our trash out. I highly recommend her and we will definitely use her services again.”

About: I grew up with cats and now as an adult have owned dogs for 20 years. I also foster dogs for Red Dog Farm. I’ve taken care of everything from potty trainings puppies to senior dogs that need daily medication. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I’m generally available a few hours each weekday and most of the day on Wednesdays and Fridays. I can help on some weekends as needed. I have a large fenced in yard and great walking trails near my house if your dog is boarding with me. We don’t have pets of our own right now so your pup would receive my full attention. I love to send clients pics and videos so you know your pet is well taken care of.
“Arden has been so great with our puppy. We are still working on potty training and he’s very young so accidents still happen. Arden has cleaned up any potty accidents and works on emphasizing good potty habits when she is with our puppy. She also always takes him out to play to help get some energy out. We are so grateful we found her!”

“Flora was a total professional! She planned the initial meetup, got all of our instructions, and had zero issues in our somewhat complicated home. She was kind, on time, communicative, flexible, and most importantly all of our animals loved her! We will ONLY be using Flora from now on!!”

About: I’m a loving, responsible, and attentive pet sitter who genuinely loves animals and believes they deserve the same patience, care, and affection they receive from their own family. I was raised around dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. Being around dogs from a young age has taught me how to be patient with different personalities, recognize when a pet may be uncomfortable or need extra attention, and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. Most importantly, I genuinely care about the animals I look after. I want every pet in my care to feel safe, happy, comfortable, and cared for. Your pet isn’t just another booking to me. They’re someone’s family, and I treat them that way. Pet sitting is currently a part-time job for me, as I do have another job. I’ll primarily be available on weekends, but as I build my clientele, I hope to expand my availability and offer more flexible dates, including Sunday evenings and additional days for repeat clients. I’ll always do my best to work with your schedule and provide dependable care when you need it! I’m open to providing a variety of pet care services, including drop-in visits, walks, and house sitting. While I’m unable to board pets in my own home because I have my own pet, I’m more than happy to care for pets in their home where they’re most comfortable. When caring for your pet in your home, I’ll respect your space, follow your house rules and your pet’s routine, and make sure your home is left just as I found it. I’ll give your pet plenty of attention, affection, exercise, and companionship while making sure their food, water, medications, potty breaks, and other needs are handled according to your instructions. I understand that inviting someone into your home requires trust, and I take that responsibility seriously. My goal is for both you and your pet to feel comfortable and confident while you’re away.
“Ana took great care of our cat. She played with her, snuggled with her, changed her water and litter out each day, and was great about communicating with us after each visit. I would definitely recommend her to others!”

“Caley was so great! She was so sweet to my girl and made her feel so special, super communicative and definitely put my anxiety at ease knowing I was leaving my dog in her care! Thank you Caley!!”

About: I have had my own dogs since I was 5 years old, so I am intimately familiar with caring for pups (grooming, feeding, giving medications, walking, playing, training). I also spent almost all of high school volunteering at the Durham County Animal Shelter, where I interacted with all kinds of dogs (walking, playing, providing enrichment) and cared for cats (cleaning cages, socializing). I have been petsitting professionally for 5 years, and have learned a ton interacting with all kinds of pets and situations! I am a college sophomore, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I am available throughout the week and most weekends for walks, drop-ins, and house-sitting during the school year. When in your home, I ensure any directions given are followed to the best of my ability and double check everything is done correctly before I leave. I’m not hesitant to ask questions when needed! I double check doors on my way out, and for walks ensure everything is fitted correctly. I have a leash-reactive dog myself, so I am comfortable redirecting or moving away from a situation that could escalate.
“Caitlin was a fantastic sitter for our two cats. We hired her last minute before the holidays and she couldn't have been more accommodating, meeting us beforehand and helping with medicine for one cat. She was kind, communicative and considerate. Everything was done perfectly and both cats took to her very well! Definitely recommend Caitlin!”

About: I have had pets my whole life. I love taking care of them and I’m very good at it. I have taken care of cats, dogs, guinea pigs, bunnies, hamsters, bearded dragons, and even a chinchilla. I am in college right now. I am available anytime Mondays and Fridays. For the rest of the week, I am available anytime after 3 pm. Since I am currently in college, I can’t bring any pets back with me so I would have to pet sit at your home. I can crate your dog when needed. I’m very good at disciplining animals. I do not yell and I definitely do not hit.

Could not recommend Christopher more! He went above and beyond and will be our #1 sitter for life! Our power went out while we were away and Christopher even went back twice in one day to check on our sweet kitten and the house, keeping an eye on temps (it was hot), and making sure everything was okay. He was communicative and really made us feel like we had someone who loved our cat there to care for her. I truly could not recommend him more!
Flora does a wonderful job! We have a skittish, elderly cat who is extremely bonded to me and dislikes everyone else. Flora has been able to follow our cat's cues and actually develop a comfortable relationship with her. This is the second time she has cat sit for us, and both times our cat was not upset or anxious when we returned. We already have Flora booked for our next trip.

Madelyn was amazing! I reached out last minute and she replied quickly. I had never used Rover and she was patient with me throughout the booking process. We did drop-in visits and regarding pet care, she kept consistent communication, followed instructions perfectly, and took amazing pictures of my cats. I would definitely recommend Madelyn!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Greensboro. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
