“Kyleigh is just awesome! She took pictures of our cats and sent them to us to ease our mind. Offered to get our mail and pull trash cans in. Highly dependable and quick to respond. Give her 10 stars!”

About: I can't pass a pup in public without getting in a quick pet. If I'm meeting you for the first time I may or may not remember your name, but I'll remember every detail (including name) of your pup. I'm 50 years old, but when I'm in the presence of a furry friend, I start baby talking like a 2-year-old. Bottom line, I love dogs. I am Mama to 4 rescue pups and a rescue kitty. I've proudly fostered 9 rescues over the years and although it's a challenging job, it's extremely rewarding seeing them happy and healthy in their forever homes and knowing that I had a small part to play in that. I'm a stay-at-home Mom of two teenagers who don't need me nearly as much as they used too. That newly acquired free time enables me to accomodate almost any number of drop in visits per day to spend quality time with your fur baby! My pups are used to a specific routine and thrive when they are comfortable and know what to expect. With that being said, I'm happy to follow any care instructions that you request. From administering medication to going on fun-filled walks, your request is my command!

“Lindsay did a fantastic job even though my kitties are just being socialized. She was patient and took some time to try and play with them. She was very good with the directions that I gave her. Will definitely use her again when I travel.”

“Julie and Jay were fantastic at taking care of our dog and guinea pigs while we were away on vacation. They went above and beyond to show our fur babies TLC and make sure they stayed safe, happy, and healthy while we were away. We enjoyed getting to see daily photos and read written updates on how things were going back home, which gave us the peace of mind to relax and enjoy our vacation without worrying about our animal family members back at home. We are so happy we had them watch our pets and we certainly would highly recommend them to anyone and will hopefully be able to have them care for our pets again on future vacations.”

“I found Nichole last minute and she was a huge blessing for all of us. She came on time, gave great check in with the pups and was very communicative. I recommend her for anyone looking for a genuine, responsible, and kind caretaker while you are away from your fur babies.”

“Jill did an amazing job looking after my two kitties! She was on-time, followed instructions, and sent updates with pictures from each visit. She played with them and it was evident from the photos how comfortable they were with her. She provided the peace of mind I need to enjoy a weekend away. Will definitely be booking Jill again!”

“Karina did a wonderful job caring for our senior cat. She was responsible and had good communication, so we felt our cat was in good hands while we were away. She also took the initiative to clean the litter box without my asking, which was very thoughtful. Thank you, Karina!”

“This was the first time Chelsea took care of our two cats, and she did a fantastic job! She provided detailed updates and excellent photos. She also took the time needed to gently encourage our shy cat to leave his hiding place and gave both kitties plenty of attention.”

“Friendly and reliable, Tricia kept me aware of how my dog was doing on a daily basis during my time out of town. A very easy experience. Came home to a happy and healthy pup.”

“Michael was personal and professional! He made sure to ask questions about our normal routine, our dog’s preferences, and made an effort to do a meet and greet before we officially booked. He is great with dogs and our 5 month old puppy Goose loved him so much. He took such great care of Goose and sent us pictures afterwards. We will definitely be booking again in the future!”

“Kayliegh was on time everyday, left us wonderful pictures and videos of a happy Max. It was GREAT to know our cat was well taken care of during our absence! Would highly recommend her to anyone.”

“Our oldest dog has PTSD from a past ER vet visit so he does not do well at the vet office or boarding. He's actually been "banned" from one facility and another won't see him unless he is sedated ?. We decided to go the route of having somebody drop in and see him 2x a day while we were away for 3 days. I carefully selected Kristy as this person based on reviews and I am so happy we went with her! Bromley wasn't stressed when we arrived back home and seemed happy (besides the grudge he's holding for leaving him lol). Kristy also checked on our kitten without us asking her too and sent us SO many pictures and videos of both our pets. She stayed longer than we asked her to at each visit too. HIGHLY recommend Kristy for your pets if you like them to be loved on and spoiled! We cannot thank her enough! ?”

“Danielle was great and very professional! She helped take care of my cats while I was on vacation and administered medications to one of them everyday. I felt comfortable being away on my trip with her there to take care of them! She did more than what was expected! Highly recommend!”
About: I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes for friends and neighbors and genuinely enjoy spending time with them. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, or extra attention, I’ll make sure they stay happy, active, and well cared for while you’re away. I am a pre-med student at NC State that is looking to continue caring for animals and enjoy doing it! I am home for the summer and have a flexible schedule. I’m organized and good at planning ahead, which helps me stay consistent with visits and make sure pets are cared for on time. I ensure they are always fed, hydrated, cared for, and active throughout the experience to ensure the pets remain happy and healthy. I will play with the pet and take them for lots of walks. I will also clean up any and all messes to maintain a clean environment.
“We are so grateful for Kiley taking care of our little Pearl. Kiley followed our care instructions and provided reassurance that our little Pearl was doing great while we were away. She was very reliable and comes highly recommended. We thank her from the bottom of our hearts for the love she provided to our precious Pearl.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Oak Ridge. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
