About: I've grown up with dogs since I was a little girl, of all different sizes a breeds. No one dog is the same and I like to find the personality of each individual dog to better suit their needs. I have taken care of dogs for family and friends when on vacation or simply stopping by the house to feed, give fresh water and have a little playtime. I'm excited to spend time with your dog! I’m currently work from home so will be able to care for you babes with my full attention! I love to make sure each animals feels safe and loved in my care through play and tons of snuggles. When staying with me, I have 3 acres of land for your animals to explore as well as a fenced in yard for those who would prefer it. I also am the happy over of multiple cats, chickens and one awesome pig. They are all extremely friendly.

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was 11 years old. Family, friends and neighbors have entrusted me to come into their homes to feed, let out, clean up and give lots of attention and love to their pets. I am a teacher’s assistant at an elementary school, so I’m available early mornings and anytime after 3:30 during the week. I’m also available on weekends and during the summertime. I’m currently unable to take pets in my home as I have my own sweet Labrador Retriever and Australian Labradoodle and an adorable cat, but I’m available to travel to your residence to take excellent care of your pets.

About: I’ve had a large amount of dogs since I was a little kid, totaling at seven in one household at one time. I’ve helped and learned how to train puppies to large adult dogs how to sit, stay, be comfortable in a crate, interact with other animals (cats, other dogs, etc) and just to play if that’s what they need! I can work my pet care into my classes and between my part time work as long as I can find a ride, walk, or a bus route that’s safe and timely. I have class on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings, then classes on Monday and Wednesday afternoons but the gaps between classes give me ample time to do a quick pop in (or longer ones on Mondays)! On the weekends I’m usually free unless I have work, where I usually only have 4-5 hour shifts. I’m always free before 11:30 am — and after 9:00 on the weekends! I’ll always find a way to show up to what I’m committed to I can offer safe placed for your animals, I can offer crate training to puppies and even kittens! I study good treats for cats and dogs and am able to bring some of my own to see how your pet reacts and can give a list of cost effective and healthy treats!

About: Ive been around pets all my life! I started raising dogs when I was 11 and have helped friends and nieghbors with their dogs and cats since I was 15. Tasks have ranged from small check-ins with pets, to staying overnight to keep them company. Right now I work at a local food pantry on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sundays are also a busy day for me, but I can be very flexible and move times around with enough notice. I have one black short haired cat that I spend most of my time with. She stays indoors, but I let her come out on my back deck to get some air and a better view of the birds and chipmunks she always has beef with. She's the most hyperactive and persnicity cat I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, so I'm experienced with cats who have their own ways of playing.

“I was super anxious at the thought of leaving the most skittish cat I’ve ever owned alone for more than 24 hours for the first time. My 14 year old cat, Bitsy B, became an only cat in December when her long time companion crossed the rainbow bridge. I knew I had to find a reliable pet sitter and didn’t know where to start. I had pictured a reliable student close to my area and I came across Abigail’s profile and thought she’d be a great fit because in my mind, she was the trustworthy person I was hoping to come across. Before leaving, I was beyond impressed because my cat runs under the bed and hides when anyone new comes in then reappears after they leave. Bit didn’t go under the bed, and she even walked up to Abigail to investigate. That’s never happened so I knew my neurotic cat would be fine. I was probably really difficult to understand because at the time I was packing in a frenzy for a funeral, and I also have a special needs child with a lot of medical equipment and supplies to pack up, and my adult ADHD didn’t help so I felt like I just threw her in a messy house with a bunch of cat food and said “the cat is skittish but she didn’t run from you so you’ll be fine”. I am a very satisfied crazy cat lady and can’t praise Abigail enough for watching my Little Bit of a cat.”

About: I’ve had my own pets for over 40 years. They were my babies and I cared for them as such!! They are my heart’s passion. I’m now a healthy strong retired woman who has loved to help family and friends pet sit their 4 legged babies. So I’m opening myself up to others!! I have a safe place to walk animals by my condo and parents with a beautiful back yard to also take them to adventure. It’s just me in my house so it’s clean, safe, simple sweet and quiet atmosphere.

About: I love cats and dogs, and have had cats most of my adult life. I believe animals are truly family members and should be treated with gentleness and respecting their nature. I have no problem following detailed instructions, and every visit I take pics to show you your fur baby is being well cared for! I am free most mornings before 8:30am and in the evenings after 6pm. On weekends I have more flexibility in my schedule. I’ll be happy to work with you on whatever your scheduling needs are! If a client discusses a list of instructions, I’ll do my best to follow them to the letter. Otherwise, I’ll follow what to me is ideal care for an animal: ensuring they have clean and fresh water, proper food, cleaning litter boxes or taking a dog out for a walk as needed, and spending a little time cuddling and playing (respecting how shy they might be!). If a pet is too shy to play, sometimes I’ll just spend a few minutes sitting on the floor and talking to them in a soothing voice so they can get used to my presence as someone who is friendly. If approved beforehand, I can even bring (or use your own) a few treats! I may also reach out to you if I see something that I think needs addressing (not enough food or litter, a pet seeming lethargic or coughing excessively etc.). If that happens, I’ll discuss with you how you want to handle it. In case of illness, I take my own cats to Wentworth Animal Hospital so, for example, if I saw your cat seemed to be vomiting excessively, if you approved it I would have no problem taking them in for a walk-in and working out the payment and a reasonable rate with you over the phone. The most important thing is to ensure that your fur baby is given the best care possible. :-)

About: My passion has always been caring for animals, which is why I chose a career as a zookeeper. In recent years I have worked with exotic animals including bats, birds of prey, and reptiles however before that I worked as a kennel supervisor caring for dogs and cats. My passion for animals in never ending and as a zookeeper, I’m no stranger to the less glamorous side of animal care. Whether caring for a playful puppy, a senior pet, or an animal with special needs, I understand that every pet is unique. I take pride in providing the same patience, attention to detail, and compassionate care that I would want for my own pets. I currently have a flexible schedule and am available Monday through Friday, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to the pets in my care. About: I’ve lived with dogs and cats my entire life, and because of my close involvement with animals, I’ve always derived great joy from taking care of them. I am currently enrolled in Guilford Technical Community College and have a very open school schedule for whenever you would like to book. About: I’ve been petting sitting since I was 13 from walking my neighbors dog while they were away for the day to feeding my best friends snake when she went on a 2 week vacation. There aren’t many animals I dislike and always open to taking care of new animals. I currently work in retail with a varying schedule but always off by 6 pm and every other weekend off. Most days I am in a 9-5 role but there are a few days that I open at 6 am. I am open to dog walking, house sitting at home or dropping in multiple times a day. I have multiple cats. I feed them a both wet food and dry food, scoop their litter boxes at least once a day with a once a week clean. I live in a small place, while I am not able to board I will check on your animal multiples times if needed, make sure they get plenty of enrichment and loves.
