Tina was incredibly attentive and kept me updated with frequent messages and adorable photos, which meant so much while we were away. Ruby also had the best time with Tina’s dog, Charlie. They became fast friends right away, which made the whole experience even better. It’s clear Tina truly loves and cares for the dogs she watches. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring sitter. Thank you so much, Tina, for taking such amazing care of Ruby!”

About: I consider myself a nurturer-by-nature: ever since I was young I’ve felt a special, undeniable bond with animals and, in particular, dogs. I love getting to know each pup’s personality and what makes them tick, ensuring they feel comfortable, and their owner can rest knowing their canine best friend is in good hands. When you schedule a service with me, your pet is my priority. Rest assured that they’ll receive the upmost attention and engagement. Nothing is worse than feeling as though your pet is lonely or bored when you’re away. I’m here to give your companion the love they deserve! When your pet stays with me they become a part of my pack. Regular potty breaks, walks, plenty of fresh water and treats, snuggles and back-scratches: I want your pup to feel at home, away from home.
“Wonderful experience, great communication. Our quirky little Bugg had a blast and came home happy, healthy, and well exercised. It was our first time leaving him with non-family and Amber & boys put our minds at ease. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve always enjoyed caring for animals and treating them like family. My biggest experience comes from raising my dog, Chase, who I’ve cared for since he was just 6 weeks old. When I moved away for college, I left him with my sister, but I still help care for him whenever I visit. Raising Chase taught me the importance of patience, consistency, and understanding each pet’s unique personality and needs. I also gained experience walking dogs while I was in high school, which helped me become comfortable caring for different breeds and temperaments. What sets me apart is the genuine love and attention I give to every pet. Since I can’t be with Chase every day, I would love the opportunity to provide that same level of care, affection, and companionship to other pets and help them feel safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. Caring for pets is something I genuinely enjoy and love making time for in my routine. I work part-time Friday through Sunday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, so I’m completely available Monday through Thursday and have plenty of flexibility to give pets the attention, exercise, and companionship they need. Whether it’s going for walks, playing, sticking to a feeding schedule, or just spending quality time together, I enjoy helping pets feel comfortable, happy, and cared for while their owners are away. I live in an apartment and do my best to make pets feel comfortable and at home while they’re with me. I have a patio area that works well for quick potty breaks, and I also make sure dogs get regular walks and exercise throughout the day. If your pet is crate-trained, I’m happy to accommodate their crate so they have a familiar, safe space to relax.

I appreciate Stephanie so much❤️. I would certainly book her again.”

“Caitlin was a fantastic sitter for our two cats. We hired her last minute before the holidays and she couldn't have been more accommodating, meeting us beforehand and helping with medicine for one cat. She was kind, communicative and considerate. Everything was done perfectly and both cats took to her very well! Definitely recommend Caitlin!”

“Caley is awesome! She is very patient with our spicy cat, and that’s not an easy task! Caley sends great updates and ensure you know your pet is being taken care of.”

“Claire took such good care of my boys while I was out of town. She sent me lots of photos with her check-ins and even brought in a heavy Chewy package for me! I highly recommend her and will be calling her when I need a vacay again!”

“This is the second time we’ve booked Christopher to take care of our two cats and he was great! Very communicative, sends tons of photos, and is overall pleasant to work with. We definitely recommend him! Thanks Christopher!! ❤️”

“Flora was attentive to my kitty's medication regimen and she was very responsive about how he was doing throughout the days that she checked in on him. My kitties also loved her which was such a relief when going out of town! I highly recommend Flora for all of your pet sitting needs!”

“Justin exceeded every expectation I had for a pet sitter. He is responsible, dependable, and provided detailed updates after every visit, which gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. What impressed me most was how attentive he was to my dogs’ individual needs. One of my girls is known for occasionally skipping meals, and rather than simply noting that she didn’t eat, Justin took the time and effort to hand-feed her to encourage her to eat. He also noticed something seemed a little off with one of my dogs and reached out to check whether it was normal behavior, which showed me how observant and invested he is in the pets he cares for. My dogs clearly love him, and it’s obvious he genuinely enjoys spending time with them. He went above and beyond throughout the entire booking, and I would not hesitate to trust him with my girls again. If you’re considering booking Justin, you can do so with confidence.”

“Thank you, Arden, for your excellent care for my kitties and peace of mind for me as I traveled. Awesome job! I'll be in touch to arrange future travel coverage for sure! Jenny”

“Ana took great care of our cat. She played with her, snuggled with her, changed her water and litter out each day, and was great about communicating with us after each visit. I would definitely recommend her to others!”

“Gillian was awesome with my Xander. She was very patient even when he was a little nervous. Gillian was able to get him calm and warmed up to her. Before we knew it Xander was nuzzling, cuddling, and getting and giving love. I really like that she kept the line of communication opened and sent photos. When I picked up my baby he was content and happy. I will be reaching out to Gillian again.”

“Sophia is a wonderful person, we deeply enjoyed working with them. We have 3 cats, and one of them is elderly and somewhat frail. Sophia did an amazing job with keeping in contact with us, asking questions, and coming up with ways to keep our cats comfortable while we were away. Sophia paid attention to our cats, so much so that she was able to detect a potential health issue with one of them before it actually occurred. Our house felt great and was very clean when we returned as well. We will definitely be requesting Sophia’s services whenever we need help with our animal’s care. Thank you, Sophia!”

“Roxanne did a good job with our cat Ranger. She kept him active in the time she was there, cleaned his litter box, and took care of feeding him. She sent great photos and communicated well. Thank you!”
“Karen was amazing! I just moved to the area so this is my first time having someone that isn’t family watch my cats and she exceeded my expectations. Super thankful my first experience with a pet sitter was someone as helpful as her! Definitely recommend!”

“Ariel was an absolute joy and made us feel at ease leaving our cats for the weekend. Having a cat that needs prescription medicine twice a day makes it hard to find a capable and trustworthy person to cat sit but she made it so easy! She took pictures and made sure to update us with every visit. Definitely recommend her!!”

About: I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Animal Science and have taken care of animals for 11 years total. I have experience within a veterinary hospital, pet hotels, farm animals, and pet care within a pet store. When it comes to the animals living within my family, I am usually the primary caretaker and the one that gives advice if a fur baby is having any trouble. My availability is open. I do also include baths when needed and we do go on walks together. When it comes to dogsitting, the pets I have taken care of in the past are the same way. They never leave my side and I always like them to be around me too for cuddles, naps, and playtime.

Ayanna was willing to care for Daisy for 3-4 hours twice each day. She also sent us photos of Daisy enjoying outdoor walks and inside quiet time, which we really appreciated!”

About: Passionate pet lover ready to give your furry friends the care and attention they deserve. With me, your pets will feel right at home! I have taken care of pets for many years now and love dogs and cats! I hope I can take care of your pets! I’m currently working part time at a golf course and this would work perfectly to allow me to work and do what I love all while being around animals! I let my dogs out at least every 2-4 hours. And feed them right at 7:30 in the morning and then at 6 in the evening. I also take my dogs for 2 walks a day, one walk in the morning and one walk in the evening.
About: I’ve owned dogs since I was 18 and currently own a cat. I have also dog sat/walked for friends and family. I am comfortable administering any medications needed, as I have experience. I’m currently in graduate school so my schedule is free during the holidays, however my classes only happen on Mondays and Wednesdays. I am also happy to do some weekends if I am available! I live in an apartment building with a fence surrounding the areas. I also live close to parks and places to walk any furry friends!
“Nakia was very attentive to Flacka’s needs and went the extra mile to make him feel comfortable to eat and drink while we are away! She really made me comfortable being away from him.”

About: I have several years of experience caring for dogs, cats, and reptiles, including my own senior dog before she passed. I have experience in the medical field and am comfortable with giving medication orally and via injection if needed. I am comfortable caring for all ages of pets from puppies and kittens to seniors. Currently the only pet in my home is my senior bearded dragon who has an enclosure with a lid. I have just started a new job Mon-Thurs, and am available to give your fur babies all the love on the weekends or during the week if your pet is okay being alone for about 8 hours. I live on the edge of downtown and walk through Fisher Park at least once daily. I don't have a proper fenced in yard, as it is shared between several houses, but there is space for a potty break. I live in a fairly busy area so if you dog is noise reactive I probably am not the right fit for you.
About: I have cared for all different types of animals since I was 7 years old. I have a solid background in behavioral psychology, dealing with challenging behavior, and training puppies. I love every minute that I get to spend with animals! My schedule is pretty flexible and I am happy to work with you. I will do my very best to accommodate you and your pet. The health and safety of your pet is my number one priority. I will also maintain their routine, environment, and preferences so they are happy and comfortable!

About: I’ve been an animal lover my entire life and have always had cats, dogs, or both in my home. I currently have five cats, including experience with semi-feral cats who need extra patience, calm energy, and trust-building. Our cats also have different eating habits, food sensitivities, allergies, and IBD, so I’m very used to caring for high-maintenance pets with specific routines and needs. I also recently owned a Border Collie mix for 10 years until she crossed the rainbow bridge, so I understand the needs of smart, active dogs who thrive on routine, attention, and exercise. I’m also a half-time dog mom to an adorable Shih Tzu with a very large personality and a questionable taste for snacks. Beyond my own pets, I frequently care for friends’ cats and dogs simply because I enjoy it. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, special diets, walks, litter boxes, playtime, basic medication support, shy pets, quirky personalities, and giving animals the time and space they need to feel safe. Pet care fits easily into my daily routine. I walk a lot, care for my own pets, manage an Airbnb we own, and do some part-time consulting, so my days are active but flexible. I’m used to managing my own schedule and can often work around the timing your pets need, whether that’s walks, feeding, drop-ins, playtime, or check-ins. For everyone’s safety and comfort, I do not care for pets in my own home. I have semi-feral, extremely shy cats, and bringing unfamiliar animals into their space would not be fair to them or to visiting pets. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable in their normal environment and routine. I’m happy to provide walks, feeding, fresh water, litter box care, playtime, companionship, basic medication support, and lots of love and attention based on each pet’s personality and needs. I’m also respectful of your home and careful with doors, gates, leashes, instructions, and anything that helps your pet feel safe while you’re away.
About: I have taken care of pets since I was young. I grew up always having a dog but have cat sat as well. I also volunteered at a pet shelter in high school. My day jobs are working for a university in Greensboro in youth programming as well as a local gym as a personal trainer. I am free all day on weekends and due to my current job flexibility, can work virtually most days in the afternoon. I take care of pets as if they were mine. I have great attention to detail and a commitment to serving you and your pet to the utmost standards.

“Ana will definitely be my #1 requested and recommended caregiver for my dogs. I threw out a Hail Mary asking for a walk asap and two minutes later Ana confirmed. Ana is a true friend of animals who walks the biggest dogs at the shelter every week. Thanks Ana 🤩”

About: Besides the normal care giving needed for your dog or cat I am able to administer medications and injections to animals if required. I am a retired nurse. Have always had pets in my life whom I’ve cared for and loved. I am very flexible as I am retired. I am available any day of the week as long as I’m not already booked. I am open to holidays as well. Your dog or kitty under my care would have my undivided attention. Safety would be number one on my checklist. Making your pet feel secure and loved would also be on that list just as if they were my own.
“We started using Rover recently for dog walking and knew we wanted to use Ariel the moment we saw her profile and her many great reviews. She has been awesome with our dog, Daisy, so far and we plan to continue being repeat customers for her. She gives detailed reports every walk and our dog clearly loves her too. Daisy is very picky about who she shares her toys with and Ariel reported that Daisy brought her a toy the other day, which means Daisy is definitely a fan too!”
“Sarah has been excellent at helping Polly adjust to a new home. Polly is a shelter dog who came home very sick, so it's been a relief to know that Sarah will be checking on her while I'm at work. She's been a big part of Polly's recovery. She's reliable, kind, and caring, and is great at communicating. I highly recommend her!”

“Flora is the BEST! She is so sweet with our pup and provides excellent care. She sends videos and pictures and does a great job communicating how the day went. Our dog LOVES her.”

About: I have had my own dogs since I was 5 years old, so I am intimately familiar with caring for pups (grooming, feeding, giving medications, walking, playing, training). I also spent almost all of high school volunteering at the Durham County Animal Shelter, where I interacted with all kinds of dogs (walking, playing, providing enrichment) and cared for cats (cleaning cages, socializing). I am a college sophomore, so my schedule is pretty flexible. I am available throughout the week and most weekends for walks, drop-ins, and house-sitting during the school year. When in your home, I ensure any directions given are followed to the best of my ability and double check everything is done correctly before I leave. I’m not hesitant to ask questions when needed! I double check doors on my way out, and for walks ensure everything is fitted correctly. I have a leash-reactive dog myself, so I am comfortable redirecting or moving away from a situation that could escalate.

“We are repeat clients and once again are super happy with the great care Sarah provided for our dog during the 5 day stay. She takes care of him as if he's part of her family. So thankful we found Sarah through Rover giving us huge peace of mind when we're away!”
