About: I have taken care of animals majority of my life. From farm animals to small house pets. I have owned a range of different animals myself. I currently have my own furry friend. Toot Wednesday is a black long haired 6 year old cat. He is truly my baby! I have been a pet setter for family and friends for years now. Honored to be the friend they call first to sit for their dogs and cats. I also have a lovely partner who is a doctor of veterinary medicine for Banfield Hospitals here in GSO. He has taught me so much more on the everyday care for our furry friends. I am so excited to extend my love and care to your pets! ** Disclaimer ** Proof of up to date rabies vaccine is required for all pets. That includes paper work and the tag. This is to insure the safety of your pets and mine. Booking will not be accepted until it is provided. Thank you for understanding! 😌 I am currently self employed and therefore my schedule is very flexible. I have No kids & only one cat. I am available on weekends as well! I can take care of most needs for your pet like, feeding, walking, & playing. I can spend more one on one time. I can help give medications if needed.
“Our dogs are normally very low key, but they were having a lot of issues this time. It was Mayah's first time sitting for us, but handled everything wonderfully! It gave us a lot of peace of mind to know we had someone who cared about our dogs and made sure they were ok. Communication was great as well, letting us know what was going on and how she took care of it. We will absolutely book her again.”

“Kendall was amazing with our babies! She kept them stimulated, and gave them plenty of snuggles! She kept us updated on everything! She made sure they were not home by themselves for too long. Would love to use her again!”

“Savannah is a dream of a dog and house sitter. She took phenomenal care of our standard poodle Farrah and our house was without any puppy "mistakes"! Savannah also walked Farrah every day, sometimes twice! She watered all of our plants and kept the house in good shape. We highly reccomend her!”

About: My senior dog is 13+ years old now (I've had him since 2015) and whenever friends and family needed pet sitting/drop-in visits/walks they came to me, I have also owned a cat and am caring for a cat currently. I would like to start building up an actual professional client base/reputation if you're willing to give me a shot! I'm mostly available on the weekends for in-house pet sitting or otherwise. For weekdays, I work 9am-5pm M-F so it's a bit more difficult unless you just need me to drop in or walk your pet :) I'll take care of your pets however you want me to, we have a very needy Bengal and my senior dog so I'm used to dealing with pets with extra needs.
“Robyn is a lovely and reliable caretaker for my 2 little furry girls. She came on time, took great care of my girls and consistenly provided me with pictures and texts to let me know the girls were fine. She clearly loves animals as beleive she is receptionist in animal hospital. So nice to have a responsible, animal oving adult when we travel!”

“Nakia took care of Ivy at the last second and I am very grateful for her. She was attentive of Ivy and her tendencies after only knowing her a short time. Sent me pictures every day!”

“Claire is wonderful, kind and interactive with my pets. She sends me photos and updates on their activity. I would highly recommend her for any services you may need.”

“Joy provided excellent care for our two-year old dog and our 6 cats while we were away for several days. She came to our house in advance for a meet & greet, at which time she showed great interest in each of our pets, reviewed our written instructions and asked excellent questions. As we requested, she stayed in our home overnight and most of the day. She was totally trustworthy, reliable and professional. Joy was consistent in her attention to the safety and wellbeing of our pets. She followed instructions, including medication administration, with precision. She was kind, loving and patient with all our pets. Joy always responded quickly to messages. She was communicative, messaging daily updates and occasional photos. She asked questions as needed. She left our house clean, with dishes, sheets and towels washed and put away. In summary, it was so good to leave our pets in safe and experienced hands. We highly recommend Joy and will not hesitate to request her services in the future!”

“Sommer was amazing! She was extremely responsive and made sure our little bug was taken care of. Our dog is extremely active and she took to him like a champ! We can’t wait to have her sit for us again.”

“I cannot praise Blanca and Mark's care of our babies and home enough to do them justice! They pampered our two rescue and reactive dogs with daily brushings and massaging, twice-daily walks and a lot of cuddling, training and rewarding in addition to feeding and medicating them on schedule. We received daily updates with videos and reports of each day's accomplishments. Our plants were monitored and new plants propagated. We even received gifts from their garden as well as (my favorite) a cutting of Pothos artfully displayed in one of our vases! Our refreshed home and relaxed fur babies made our homecoming not only painless - but very welcoming. They left our house, linens and appliances in pristine condition (not as we had left it) and even relieved some of the visible clutter! Blanca's eye for form and display were apparent throughout the house. Blanca and Mark's care this past week greatly exceeded our expectations and I will definitely be asking for their help in the future. I would give them more stars if possible.”

“Karina was FANTASTIC! She came to the rescue very last minute and I couldn’t be more thankful for her. HIGHLY recommended! Will definitely rebook next time we are in town!”

“We were gone for 8 days - Meredith did a wonderful job! Our two dogs got plenty of exercise and attention, our house was in better shape than we left it in, and she was very proactive with communication. We have some things with the house that can be tricky, coded locks and alarm system, etc, and none of that was an issue. She was very respectful of the house, etc, We will absolutely hire Meredith again!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Greensboro
Amber was absolutely phenomenal! She watched our Golden Retriever for 10 days while we were out of town, and as a high-maintenance dog parent, I can honestly say she exceeded every expectation we had. She spent so much time with him during the day, provided frequent updates, and sent the best pictures, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from the start how much she genuinely cared about him and treated him like her own. For the entire trip, I never once worried about whether he was being cared for or getting enough attention. Knowing he was with Amber allowed us to fully enjoy our time away. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup, and we couldn’t be more grateful. We would recommend Amber without hesitation and will absolutely be booking with her again!

Erika stayed with our 2 Golden Retrievers while we enjoyed a beach vacation. She did a great job taking care of our pups as well as our home. She sent us pics and updates frequently so we felt connected to our gals throughout our stay. We could see that they enjoyed their time with Erika. We’re so glad we found Erika so we can enjoy guilt-free vacations.
What a great experience for us and for our Chico! I could tell right away that I would not have to worry about her while we were away as she seemed at ease with Georgia from the start. We will definitely be asking her to stay with Chico next time we are out of town.

Claire was incredible with our three dogs. Two pitties and a border collie, so not exactly novice breeds and I didn’t worry at all. She was very communicative, followed our instructions, and went above and beyond to make sure Gilly got her medication. The updates were so reassuring and we can tell she really gave them love. First time using Rover and she completely set the bar. Will 100% book again.

Keri is kind and treated my dog like her own. She sent update pictures, kept up with walks, left my home in excellent shape, was extremely communicative and prompt. Highly recommend this sweet person to take care of your pet. She has experience with elderly dogs and showed patience and compassion with my older girl.

We left our elderly cat with medical issues and elderly dog and house with Ainsley for a week while we were across the country for Christmas and she did a WONDERFUL job. House was exactly as I left it before we went on our trip, our cat and dog were both healthy and happy when we arrived home, and she communicated as needed while we were gone. Thank you again Ainsley for the last minute availability over the holiday and for taking such good care of George and Stein!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for House Sitting in Greensboro on Rover is $44.4 per night (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of House Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for House Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
As of July 2026, there are 1,000 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Greensboro. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Greensboro walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Greensboro maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Greensboro choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
