“Kat did a fantastic job taking care of our pups overnight for around a week. Our dogs can be anxious and have a difficult time when we go out of town, but Kat did a great job of showing them love, making them feel comfortable, and even got our anxious pup to eat regularly while we were gone (first pet sitter to be able to do this). We had a small miscommunication at the beginning of our trip, but Kat handled everything super professionally and went above and beyond to accommodate our dogs needs. She provided regular updates for us as well as thoughtful pictures to make us feel comfortable while we we were gone. In all of our conversations with her, she was kind, compassionate, respectful, and professional. Our family Would highly recommend Kat for your pet sitting needs, especially if you have an anxious pup like ours that needs some extra love while you are out of town.”

“Thank you for watching my babies again.”

“Sophia was incredible. She gave Benny great care while we were gone and went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. Would highly recommend! We look forward to choosing Sophia in the future.”

About: I have had dogs my whole life and have taken care of friends, family, and neighbors pets for as long as I can remember. I have my own two dogs, Henry and Lola, who are quirky adorable pitbull’s. My two have allergies and lots of specific needs, like Henry needs to be under a blanket to sleep. So I am very used to administering medication, following explicit directions, and making sure all of your pets quirky needs are met. I work remote from home and make my own schedule, so I am able to fit in all of the time to hang with your fur babies! I am happy to come meet you and your pet prior to walking and or sitting, so that everybody gets to know each other! Happy to water plants, bring in the mail, or anything else that goes along with housesitting outside of making sure all of your pets needs are met.

“Olivia was amazing! Responsive, attentive, everything you want for your sitter! Arlo was happy and healthy when we came home, what more could you ask for! Olivia was an amazing houseguest and sitter, I would recommend her to anyone(:”

“Maggie was wonderful! She is very responsible and loving to our pups! I didn’t have a worry at all knowing she was here, especially with our special needs dog! We will be booking with her again!”

“Hope is amazing! She sent plenty of updates, videos, and pictures. She went above and beyond ensuring our pup was well taken care of. Will definitely be looking to book with her in the future!”

“Olivia took great care of our pets and house while we were away.”

About: I have been working with dogs and cats since high school. I originally started watching family pets, but while I was working my first job, families reached out to me asking if I could watch their pets. I am a complete pet lover and was raised with dogs and cats. I am currently in my last year of graduate school. My schedule tends to change every week based on my location. Some weeks I am completely available and home 24/7 and some weeks I am working 8-10 hour days for 5-6 day in the week. When caring for pets in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I maintain a consistent routine with feeding, walks, playtime, and plenty of affection. I provide a pet-friendly space with cozy resting areas, enrichment toys, and a calm environment. When I’m in a client’s home, I strive to keep their pet’s routine as normal as possible. I follow all instructions closely, whether it's feeding schedules, administering medication, or specific care preferences. I treat their space with respect and always ensure their pets receive the same level of attention and love they’re used to. No matter where I’m caring for your pet, their well-being, happiness, and safety are always my top priorities.

“Jaclyn was wonderful! She accommodated our last minute request of staying overnight at our home, she was on time, sent us photos of our babies and took great care of them! Will definitely be calling her again.”

About: I’ve been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, and I’m excited to offer reliable, compassionate care to fellow pet owners. As a current Ph.D. student in neuroscience, I’ve spent my life learning—and caring for animals along the way which is even more rewarding. Here is my experience: I’ve fostered many cat moms and their kittens, adult cats who were no longer wanted and need a safe transition space, and helped socialize feral cats and kittens. While living in Puerto Rico, a street dog (un sato), showed up on my front steps and wouldn't leave and I was able to find him (I'ro) a loving home in Maryland and facilitated his transport there - meeting him at the airport to make sure he feels safe. I currently have two wonderful cats of my own—Gabby, a tabico I spent six months socializing in my backyard in West Philadelphia, and Magda, a sweet black cat I rescued from outside my therapist’s office here in Winston-Salem. They’re now best friends who keep me laughing and feeling loved. I’ve also volunteered at a horse rescue, helped save orphaned possum babies, and spent a year in Puerto Rico studying the social behavior of semi-wild rhesus macaque monkeys. These experiences have deepened my passion for understanding animal communication and taught me how to build trust with animals across species, while also learning a lot about myself. I grew up with dogs and have always had a strong connection with them, but I already have my hands full with Gabby and Magda, so it brings me a lot of joy to also connect with dogs through this service. From playful pups to mellow seniors, I’m very comfortable with identifying and understanding what their needs are to make any dog I encounter feel safe and loved. I understand canine body language, enjoy going on walks or supervised dog park visits. I also feel very comfortable reinforcing good behavior with patience and reinforcers, and communicating that bad behavior is bad, without resorting to punishment. (I have a bachelor's degree in psychology which helped me grow this skill). Whether it’s cats, kittens, puppies, dogs, senior pets, energetic or shy animals who need extra patience and understanding, I tailor my approach to each pet’s needs. I love meeting animals where they are and helping them feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for someone knowledgeable, dependable, and completely devoted to all creatures great and small—I’m your person! I generally work 9-5, but because I'm a Ph.D. student, my schedule is very flexible and generally planned around my experiments. I work downtown, so popping in for a visit during work hours is no problem. My first priority when caring for any pet—whether in my home or a client’s—is making sure they feel safe, secure, and loved from the moment I arrive. I always start by offering reassurance and allowing the animal to approach at their own pace, especially if they’re shy or unsure. Once they’re comfortable, I check on all their basic needs: food, water, litter boxes, medication (if applicable), and overall well-being. After that, I tailor the visit to each animal’s personality and preferences—whether that means playtime, a walk, cuddles, or simply spending calm, quiet time together. I’m always happy to follow the owner’s instructions and preferences closely to make sure your pet’s routine stays consistent and their unique needs are fully met. Clear communication and compassionate care are at the heart of what I do.

About: Hello! My name is Austin. I’m a recent Wake grad who has over a decade of experience in caring for dogs. I bring communication, compassion, and reliability to every new pet and his or her owner, and I take pride in making your dog’s day, ensuring he or she feels loved and energized. I am available M-Th after 5PM and all day on Friday and through the weekend. I am flexible, so please let me know how I can be of service to you! I live in a nice apartment right by Bailey Park and the Long Branch trail where I go running (goes behind Wake Downtown). As such, I can also run with your dog if you’d like! I’ve also taken a lot of pups on the Reynolda trail. I am always sure to take lots of photos, as well.
