I am Shelby (she/her) and I moved to Burlington in 2022. l grew up caring for a Yorkshire Terrier and have experience caring for pets of all sizes and breeds. I have a calm and gentle demeanor, which helps me to gain trust with animals easily, including senior animals and those who are prone to separation anxiety. I am happy to accommodate special requests to cater to your specific needs. I am located near Mackintosh Lake in Burlington, but am willing and able to travel to Elon, Gibsonville, Whitsett, Graham, Haw River, and surrounding areas. I enjoy spending quality time caring for pets, taking great photos, as well as assisting with training or developmental goals. I work remotely in Higher Education/Property Management and have plenty of flexibility in my schedule, including early mornings, lunch, evenings, and weekends to drop in, play, or walk with your pet. When looking after your pet, I treat them and your home environment as I would my own. About: Hello, thanks for checking out my profile. I have been a pet parent for most of my adult life. I have had the most experience with dogs. I became a cat owner a couple of years ago. Caring for pets has been a vital part of my life and I find enjoyment in sharing my life with them. I’m comfortable with feeding and walking schedules, providing enrichment and playtime, cleaning litter boxes, and providing comfort and attention. I am a teacher on summer break so my schedule is pretty flexible right now. I want to help you feel comfortable leaving your pet, so I understand the importance of communication and trust. I am a teacher so I am available this summer, every day. When I go back in August I will only be available Monday through Friday after 4:00, Saturday and Sunday all day. All instructions regarding routines and medications will be carefully followed. I will pay attention to each pet’s behavior to ensure they are comfortable. I will maintain your pet’s schedule as close as possible providing photos and updates. Each client’s home will be respected and privacy ensured.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with over 10 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve raised and trained dogs since I was young and have experience with puppies, senior dogs, large breeds, high-energy dogs, and more relaxed companions. I’m also comfortable caring for pets with medical needs and can administer oral medications, topical medications, injections, and provide care for dogs wearing cones or diapers. I work from home, which allows me to provide a flexible schedule and spend plenty of quality time with the pets in my care. Dogs staying with me are rarely left alone for more than 2–4 hours, receive regular potty breaks every 2–4 hours, and get lots of attention throughout the day. I always strive to keep pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, potty breaks, fresh food and water, and lots of affection. All outdoor time is supervised, and I provide a clean, quiet, and stress-free environment. There are no other animals in the house. About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was a kid and I trained my dog and many other family/friends pets! I’ve had my dog for 9 years. I currently work part time throughout the week and I include and care for my dog any time I am at home. She loves outdoors! I am sure to keep my dog on a leash at all time she is not home and pick up as we go! I also like wiping after going outside.

About: I have always had a major love for animals! I currently own 1 cat and 1 dog. I have owned dogs, hamsters, turtles, geckos, and a rabbit. I have experience in raising newborns, puppies, adult dogs, and senior dogs. I have also cared for other types of animals including cats, hamsters, rabbits, turtles, fish, and reptiles. I always make time to play and cuddle with any type of fur baby to make them feel comfortable with me and happy! I can provide just about any service needed: from feeding to potty breaks, walks, grooming, nail trimming, cleaning ears, cleaning up messes, or administering medication. I currently work in an animal hospital, so I am very familiar and comfortable providing any type of pet care! If possible, please request a booking a week from the dates required so I can work that around my job. I am mainly available on the weekends. Will update availability for the weekdays soon. I make sure all choking hazards, loose cords, or anything dangerous are out of reach. I put away all food and meds that aren't necessary at the current time. If a crate is required for a dog or cat when leaving the home, I make it very comfy and supply toys for comfort!
