She let me know quickly when one of them inevitably puked from stress and made sure they were both happy and tired before leaving for the day.”

“AMAZING. We LOVE them! We were fortunate to book Destiny and Hailey for drop in visits and most recently over night stays in our home for our 2 bulldogs while we were out of the country. We came home to happy dogs and a clean house. I am always nervous about leaving our fur babies. They are healthy bulldogs but are still bulldogs in the NC heat/humidity. I feel as though these girls took care of our pups like their own. We are lucky to have found them ❤️ Highly recommend! Lola and Harley give 2 paws up 🐾”

“Pilar stayed in our house with our Yorkie while we were on vacation. Pilar was very professional and sent photos and updates each day. Unfortunately, our seven night booking with her had to be cut short by three days due to the effects that Pilar experienced from the smell coming from our pilot light of our gas log fireplace. She offered to do drop-in visits for the remaining three days, but I was able to find an alternative for Bella‘s care. I appreciated the fact that she was willing to do what she could to help out. We returned to a clean house and certainly recommend Pilar as a dog/house sitter.”

About: I absolutely adore all animals!! I have two dogs of my own and 5 in total at my family home, I am constantly around animals and helped raise them from puppies. I love walking and would be happy to play and exercise your pets or just love on them and give them cuddles whatever they need to be happy and healthy!! About: I've been working with dogs since childhood - my parents raised Pekingese & Dobermans. Even at 8 years old, I helped mama dogs birth their pups. My schoolmates thought it was gross, most adults thought it was weird, but I thought it was super cool to be a part of bringing life into the world through adorable little squeaking pups. Even though we were very ethical & loving with our pups, many backyard breeders are not, so I no longer agree with that. But as an adult, I fell in love with rescues & adopted a few over the years. Then I decided I wanted to be more involved with Rescues. So... I became a Foster Parent, assisted Black Dog Rescue, & was an integral part of Cooper's Companions Animal Rescue in Colorado before moving to NC. I usually ended up fostering unadoptable dogs & working with them extensively until they became adoptable. Then followed up with their new pet parents to help ensure success & making it stick. My specialty is working with fearful dogs, teaching pet owners how to get the behavior they want from their pet, leash training, & training dogs to walk on a treadmill. We have 2 little dogs who had a big 'sister' for many years, so all size dogs are welcome; Both of our pups are super dog-friendly. One of them loves to play with other dogs, and the other will play sometimes, but can be a bit of a snob. We want all dogs to enjoy staying with us, but... we won't tolerate a 'truly' aggressive dog in our home. My dogs don't attack other dogs, so should either of my dogs be attacked or if a human is bitten, the offender will be separated & crated inside, or placed in our separately fenced kennel area outside (only if you prefer) for the remainder of their stay. Any issues will be discussed with the dog owner to establish their preference in this regard. Otherwise, we'll shower your fur baby with love & attention so you won't have to worry about them when you're away. Please note: ***We will only board dogs which are spayed or neutered.*** If they are not spayed/neutered, we will be happy to do drop in or house-sitting care, but we will not be able to host in our own home. --- Must have a 3 day notice for care requests, as I require a meetup with dogs & their owners before actually accepting a booking. If you are unable to do this, I'm unable to take care of your fur babies. --- I work from home, so my availability is fairly open unless we're on vacation or if in the event that I have to go on a business trip. _____________________________________________________________________________ *** Important Note*** Doggie Day Care is for "up to 9 hours" each stay. If you need care for more than 9 hours, please schedule it as a boarding. Just let me know it's for an extended hours stay in a message. Otherwise, for requested stays exceeding 9 hours, I will send you a modification request changing it from 'day care' to the status of 'boarding' which costs more. If I have to send you a modification request & you don't want to pay a boarding fee for time exceeding 9 hours, you may choose to decline the change & it will never actually be booked with me. However, in this instance, you will need to find another sitter. Thank you for understanding... We have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in. The previous home owners put in a separate fenced kennel, so that's an available option in case you prefer your dog to be separated. It's unusual, but some people do prefer that. We almost never use it, though.

About: Hi! I'm Julie! While new to the pet/housesitting world, I have taken care of dogs, cats and horses since childhood. I've also been a human caregiver. I'm a retired RN of 35+ years who also worked in veterinary medicine as a vet assistant for 5 years. My love of animals has persuaded me to pursue a career of providing care to your furry family members. My preferred fur clientele would be mature adult/senior small dogs or cats (kittens or adults) who prefer to stay in their own familiar surroundings. As the mom of a special needs dog (epilepsy) I'm well versed in giving medications and providing seizure care. With owner direction and observation of administration, I would feel comfortable administering injections. Whether your pet is into sedate leash walks, snuggles, belly rubs or prefers self entertainment with toys or observing the outside world, I'm happy to oblige. My schedule is generally very flexible and my goal is to take care of your fur babies and your home as if they were my own. I'm currently working as a contract nurse and am able to set my schedule on a monthly basis. This allows flexibility for your sitting needs. I have 3 furry family members of my own. I have 2 standard poodles inside and a tuxedo longhaired cat that's in and out. All have been spayed and receive regular vet care. One of the poodles is special needs due to epilepsy and is on multiple medications daily to prevent seizures. I will care for your pet in your home as if they were my own.
