“This was our first time using Rover and Shelby couldn’t have been a better fit for us! She was on time, communicative and both of our pups were so happy to see her during her visits. We’ll definitely use Shelby again and would recommend to everyone!”

“Cynthia is AMAZING. From keeping us up to date with our dogs, to bringing in packages left on the porch, to clear and fast communication, I would recommend Cynthia to anyone looking for a pet sitter. It’s scary having outsourced online help. Cynthia has made our experience transitioning to Rover smooth and stress free. My fiancé and I have consistently rebooked with Cynthia and don’t plan to book with anyone else.”

“Awesome is the best way to describe the service Amber provided. My cat is very stand-offish with strangers. However on her first visit she sent pictures of her playing with him and even letting her brush him, (which is a battle when I try and brush him.) Will definitely use Amber and Steve the next time I leave town!”

“Paulina was great! She was very communicative and sent photos every day. She went above and beyond to get alternative transportation during bad weather to make sure my cat didn’t miss a meal. I felt at ease knowing someone reliable was taking care of my cat, and my cat clearly enjoyed her visits!”

“Katie was very friendly and my dog had no problem going out with her when she arrived (he usually resists being let out and is stubborn). She was prompt with her visits and sent us really cute glamor shots of our dog enjoying the sunshine. She was great! We would definitely book her again!”

About: I have never gone a year of my life without owning at least 2 dogs. I have always trained them well with leash training, potty, and crate training. I now am training a service dog (with the help of some classes) and am learning so much more about a dog’s health, needs, and how to learn from them as much as they learn from us. I know that when I go out of town I want the best care for my dogs and I want to provide a good place for other dogs to stay as well. I am a full time online student at the moment so I am available all day everyday, with the exception of future appointments or meetings that will not take more than a few hours out of a day at a time. I am typically home watching over my own dogs at all hours of the day; I do work part time on the weekends though and am usually gone for 5-8 hours at a time onFridays-Sundays (depending on the week). I live in a very dog-friendly neighborhood which provides a standard sized tennis court, which we have basically turned into a play park for dogs! We all have contributed toys to leave at the tennis court and I LOVE brining my dog (and the doggie I am watching over) to the court to run freely for a while and play without worrying about other dogs or being on a leash. Because I have a larger dog (110 lbs; he is a gentle giant), I have a large crate and large bed as well! This will be great for any sized dog whether they are crate-trained or not :)
About: I am a professor at a local university with a flexible schedule who loves hanging out with all sorts of pets. I am professional, punctual, and playful. My wife, Diana, works from home so between the two of us there’s pretty much always someone home hanging out with our doggie guests. We live on 4 acres, about half of which is fenced in for the doggos to run and play safely. We only crate if they are comfortable with that, and if no one is home. My teaching schedule allows me to be home a lot during the week and I am open most weekends. I am also pretty flexible to do drop ins and walks, as well as pickup/dropoff. My wife, Diana, works from home and helps with the pet care. Pretty much someone is always home so the pet guests normally hang out with us most of the day. I know every pet has their own personality so I like to get to know each pet individually and speak with their owners to come up with a care plan. We aim to create the same level of comfort here that your pet has at home. Our guests are part of the family while they are here.

“This was the first time I asked Gretchen to care of my senior cats. They seemed very well cared for and the instructions I left were carefully followed. Everything was neat and clean and I would not only ask Gretchen to come again, I would recommend her to anyone wanting a caring pet sitter. Thank you Gretchen.”
“Heidi was wonderful. She came by to feed my dog, spent quality time with him, and made sure he was well cared for. She was reliable, sent great updates, and gave me peace of mind while I was away. I’m especially grateful that she was able to step in at the last minute over a holiday. I’d absolutely recommend Heidi and would gladly book her again.”

“We have no complaints about Heidi. She was punctual and communicative. The pups were well cared for and enjoyed all of the lovies and cookies she gave. Will definitely be booking in the future ☺️”

“Gemma did a great job taking care of our three cats for the weekend! I'll definitely book her again when we are out of town. She even got check in pictures of our one notoriously shy cat who doesn't like strangers as much. I was impressed!”

“Lindsay is amazing. She took great care of my 7 week tiny puppy. She even suggested to break up visits since she was so small. My Lexi had bad separation anxiety. She would get sick. She suggested a stuffie pup and it worked great! She even washed some dishes! She instantly made me feel comfortable leaving my little Lexi ❤️”

“Evan was great from our first meet and greet through all of his visits. Notes were detailed and our dog received plenty of exercise and love. Looking forward to having Evan care for our dog today n the future”
About: I have had dogs my entire life, and have had the opportunity to take care of my neighbors and friends pets for about 10 years, since I was 12. I love walking dogs and giving pets the love they so deserve! I am currently in Physical Therapy school at Elon University, and my hours in class are usually 8-4 M-F. My evenings and weekends are free, I am starting Rover to earn some money to help me get through my PT program! Hanging out with your pets will also serve as a great stress reliever for me too! I live on the third floor in my apartment complex, so preferably I will come to you and allow the pets to stay in their own comfortable environment! However, I do not have any pets in my apartment right now, making it easier to board them if needed. I also live across from a park that is perfect for walking dogs if they need more space!
“Betsy did an amazing job taking care of my dogs and playing with them in the backyard during the drop-ins. By the looks of the Rover photos, I can tell that the dogs love playing and getting all the head scratches from her. Definitely recommended!”

About: I've been working with dogs since childhood - my parents raised Pekingese & Dobermans. Even at 8 years old, I helped mama dogs birth their pups. My schoolmates thought it was gross, most adults thought it was weird, but I thought it was super cool to be a part of bringing life into the world through adorable little squeaking pups. Even though we were very ethical & loving with our pups, many backyard breeders are not, so I no longer agree with that. But as an adult, I fell in love with rescues & adopted a few over the years. Then I decided I wanted to be more involved with Rescues. So... I became a Foster Parent, assisted Black Dog Rescue, & was an integral part of Cooper's Companions Animal Rescue in Colorado before moving to NC. I usually ended up fostering unadoptable dogs & working with them extensively until they became adoptable. Then followed up with their new pet parents to help ensure success & making it stick. My specialty is working with fearful dogs, teaching pet owners how to get the behavior they want from their pet, leash training, & training dogs to walk on a treadmill. We have 2 little dogs who had a big 'sister' for many years, so all size dogs are welcome; Both of our pups are super dog-friendly. One of them loves to play with other dogs, and the other will play sometimes, but can be a bit of a snob. We want all dogs to enjoy staying with us, but... we won't tolerate a 'truly' aggressive dog in our home. My dogs don't attack other dogs, so should either of my dogs be attacked or if a human is bitten, the offender will be separated & crated inside, or placed in our separately fenced kennel area outside (only if you prefer) for the remainder of their stay. Any issues will be discussed with the dog owner to establish their preference in this regard. Otherwise, we'll shower your fur baby with love & attention so you won't have to worry about them when you're away. Please note: ***We will only board dogs which are spayed or neutered.*** If they are not spayed/neutered, we will be happy to do drop in or house-sitting care, but we will not be able to host in our own home. --- Must have a 3 day notice for care requests, as I require a meetup with dogs & their owners before actually accepting a booking. If you are unable to do this, I'm unable to take care of your fur babies. --- I work from home, so my availability is fairly open unless we're on vacation or if in the event that I have to go on a business trip. _____________________________________________________________________________ *** Important Note*** Doggie Day Care is for "up to 9 hours" each stay. If you need care for more than 9 hours, please schedule it as a boarding. Just let me know it's for an extended hours stay in a message. Otherwise, for requested stays exceeding 9 hours, I will send you a modification request changing it from 'day care' to the status of 'boarding' which costs more. If I have to send you a modification request & you don't want to pay a boarding fee for time exceeding 9 hours, you may choose to decline the change & it will never actually be booked with me. However, in this instance, you will need to find another sitter. Thank you for understanding... We have a fenced in yard for your pup to play in. The previous home owners put in a separate fenced kennel, so that's an available option in case you prefer your dog to be separated. It's unusual, but some people do prefer that. We almost never use it, though.

Gemma was wonderful with caring for our fur baby! She loved on and truly took care of him where we had no worries while on vacation. Khalifa absolutely loved her during our meet and greet which led me to choosing Gemma to care for him. She’s a real sweetheart and we definitely will book her again, thank you so much Gemma!!

Today was the first time that we had Lindsay come meet our dog, Zeus, and it went so amazing! She was so attentive to him and taking the time to get to know him (and he absolutely adored her and all the pets he was getting). We are excited for her to continue building a rapport with him and start meeting with him weekly!

This was the first time I asked Gretchen to care of my senior cats. They seemed very well cared for and the instructions I left were carefully followed. Everything was neat and clean and I would not only ask Gretchen to come again, I would recommend her to anyone wanting a caring pet sitter. Thank you Gretchen.
