As a recent Veterinary Technician graduate and current Animal Science major, I am highly organized and prioritize your pet's needs. My time is strictly managed, with all essential pet care (feeding, medication, exercise) scheduled around my fixed academic hours. Mornings & Evenings are dedicated to core routines. I maintain a consistent midday window for drop-in visits and walks. My Veterinary Technician training taught me the importance of strict time management and organization. I deliberately limit my bookings to ensure reliable, punctual, and medically informed care, giving every pet the focused attention it deserves.

Safety, trust & environment
My approach is highly attentive and tailored to your pet's specific needs, all informed by my Veterinary Technician training and experience in emergency animal medicine. Medically Minded: I observe for any subtle changes in health or behavior that might indicate a problem. I am proficient in medication administration (pills, liquids, or injections) as required. Safety First: Whether on a walk or during playtime, I prioritize a safe environment, using my emergency background to anticipate and manage risks. Species-Specific Care: For cats and exotics, I focus on their unique enrichment needs (e.g., interactive cat play, proper habitat checks for your bearded dragon). Routine Follow-Through: I strictly adhere to the feeding, potty, and exercise schedules you provide, ensuring minimal stress for your pet. Clear Communication: Every visit includes a detailed update, photos, and a summary of all care provided.
Information Gretchen G. would like to know about your pet
Even if you have a "large/dangerous" breed, I can handle it. I grew up with dogs over a hundred pounds and feel comfortable giving them the love and care they deserve. I also need to know if they are front door escape artist.
A typical day
When going on walks, I always allow those extra stops to sniff so that they can catch up on their daily news. To burn off some extra energy, we will finish our walk with a jog and, of course, some good belly rubs before heading back home.

Pet care experience
Looking for a sitter who treats your pet like family? That's me! I recently graduated from Veterinary Technician school this past May, bringing a fresh, medically informed approach to pet sitting. My background includes valuable time in emergency and exotic animal medicine, so whether your pet needs a little extra monitoring or has specialized needs, I'm prepared. I am an active foster pet mom and a pet parent myself to a sweet German Shepherd and an easygoing bearded dragon. I truly understand the bond you have with your animal, and I'm committed to providing a safe, fun, and reliable experience while you're away.

Thank you again for the great care you g ave for my boys .

Gretchen is fantastic, very thoughtful and caring . Thank you so much for caring for my boys .
I know misty is always in good hands with Gretchen.
This was the first time I asked Gretchen to care of my senior cats. They seemed very well cared for and the instructions I left were carefully followed. Everything was neat and clean and I would not only ask Gretchen to come again, I would recommend her to anyone wanting a caring pet sitter. Thank you Gretchen.
