“Wonderful experience, great communication. Our quirky little Bugg had a blast and came home happy, healthy, and well exercised. It was our first time leaving him with non-family and Amber & boys put our minds at ease. Highly recommend!”

“Kenan & Kayleigh were awesome! They loved Billy and Joey (miniature dachshunds) like their own and always sent updates with pictures and videos! Their home is clean and their indoor kennels our dogs loved (along with their couch for extra snuggles). 🥰 We will 100% be using them again!”

“I really can tell Geraly really cares for the pups and takes amazing care of them as well. I appreciate the sending of pictures everyday or chance she gets it and the fast replies it really does make this dog mom so happy and i felt so much more comfortable using rover (Im a first timer). I will be booking with her again and i really recommend you too as well especially if this is your first time.”

“Morgann is absolutely amazing! She made both my pups feel loved and right at home for their first boarding experience. Her knowledge of and experience with dogs was very evident. Her calm confidence really helped make this a positive experience and she sent several pics and videos throughout our week away so we could see our pups were doing well. We will definitely be boarding through Morgann again for the rest of our upcoming trips!”

“Britteny is amazing! She really helped us out with short notice and was super friendly and flexible. Onyx lover her time there and was right at home...we could tell by the pictures and video she sent! We will definitely book again with her!”

“This was our first time using Tara as a sitter and we were very happy with the experience. Tara was professional and clearly knew how to care for and interact with Brandy who is a little timid around new people. Tara worked with Brandy to get her comfortable with a new routine, and showed resourcefulness in getting Brandy to take her meds and be comfortable eating in a new environment. Tara sent us pictures and kept us informed about Brandy's progress. Brandy clearly felt comfortable and content under Tara's care. We will definitely be having Tara care for Brandy again!”
“Starla was amazing! Will definitely use her again. My baby Twinkle had the time of her life. Starla is amazing with communication, sent daily pics and videos. Definitely the best! Thank you so much 🩷😊”

“Evie & Fritz were so amazing with Lola. They sent me photos throughout each day and gave me updates on how she was doing! She got to play with lots of other dogs who were in doggy daycare with them and snuggled up with them at night! I felt so good knowing my girl was being so loved and well cared for! You guys are the best!!”

“She did an amazing job taking care of my baby girls, updating me every step of the way. Will definitely be using her again next time I need a sitter in Greensboro!! ❤️”

“Dessie took great care of our dogs. She took them to the dog park and sent us updates daily. She also gave us a nice bag of treats, doggie bags, and a nice letter! I could tell my dogs were super happy with their stay and well taken care of”

“Our pups spent another weekend with Amy and Alex -- I kind of felt bad picking them up because I know they are so happy there! Trust both of them fully with our boys :-)”

“Tyra goes the extra mile. Not only does she send us a multitude of pictures of our pup (which can not be understated), but she truly cares for our pup. She goes out of her way to make him feel at home and loved in her house as if it was our own. Thank Tyra for taking care of our pup.”

“So grateful to you both for taking Harry in this past weekend and sharing your home! Harry clearly enjoyed his stay and is looking forward to returning soon!”

“Alex was wonderful. Marvel seems so happy with him! He was a great communicator and offered me a lot of flexibility when my travel plans changed a little. Highly recommend and will be using him again next time I’m in town!”

“Alicia was so accommodating when I needed to board for one night last minute. She was incredibly polite and knowledgeable about dogs. As soon as left, I knew he was in good hands. She sent a couple photos and updates. When I picked him up I could tell he wasn’t quite ready to leave even though he missed me. I will certainly book again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Whitsett
Ross and Sarah were absolutely amazing! I am blown away with how much time and care they put in to caring for my sweet special boy. They were so understanding of his quirks and they communicated clearly on how he was doing and what they were doing to help him be happy and comfortable. They sent many pictures and videos daily so I can see just how happy and how much fun he was having. Their patience, adaptability, and knowledge was everything to make me feel comfortable knowing my boy was in good hands. I couldn't give higher praise and will be happy to recommend them and ask them to watch my dog again in the future.

I would book Bianca and her family over and over if I wouldn’t miss my dog too much. My husband and I am so very appreciative and grateful of them for taking care of our dog. We literally had a trip to catch and couldn’t find anyone to watch our dog. The day before the trip we found her and didn’t expect her to accept. Apollo was taken care of, the bare minimum is usually cuddles and feeding the dog. Bianca took it several steps further and made Apollo a member of the family. It’s hard to put your dog in the hands of strangers let alone having him stay over night. We got videos and updates, and you could tell our dog was having the best time!!! They even accommodated two extensions to our booking. After this experience, I actually prefer Bianca and her family over standard dog breeding facilities in NC.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
