“Jakiah is a great pet sitter. She truly care about each pet and loves them as if they were her own. Her communication is top tier and I can tell that my pet loves being with her while I’m away.”

“We will most definitely be using Alicia and Matthew’s services again! Our dogs had a great time and we can tell by how happy they were when we picked them up. Our dogs typically get anxious and don’t eat when we board them, but that was not the case this weekend which means they were comfortable with who was caring for them! Thank you Say Cheese!!!”

“I’m pleased with Yuko’s care. Mr. Flavio and Melany did great at providing daily pictures of Yuko and he seemed to have had an amazing time as well. Hoping to continue booking with them in the future.”

“Taylor is amazing! She took such a good care of Canelo while I was at work, her dog Rêve played with him all day. It was wonderful to come home and have him tired out and happy.”

“Kristal is great. She loves dogs as does her family. She took great care of my puppy. Sends updates every few hours. Has a fenced yard so the dogs can play. My dog left tired which was the goal. Her location is central so its not far. Very sweet person and responsible. My puppy had a great time”
“Wonderful experience, great communication. Our quirky little Bugg had a blast and came home happy, healthy, and well exercised. It was our first time leaving him with non-family and Amber & boys put our minds at ease. Highly recommend!”

“Holly and her family are the best! This was the first time we left our pup with someone since adopting her, but she cared for Sydney like her own! I truly appreciated the frequent updates and pictures to let me know she was doing great. I know Sydney will be excited to go back to their house and get spoiled in the future.”

“Tyra kept us updated on daily activities and took photos. Opie had a great time and we were comfortable knowing he was in good hands. Will definitely be reaching out again!”

About: I’ve worked in vet med for 4 years and can promptly handle any type of emergency. I am comfortable medicating dogs and cats of all ages, and I can perform CPR if necessary. I have also worked at doggy daycares taking care of 100+ animals at a time. I have been pet sitting since I was in high school, and I care for each animal as my own! I am trustworthy, reliable, and very communicative with pet parents. My schedule is completely open right now! I am available to pet sit weekdays or weekends. I can do same-day bookings, but I would prefer at least one day’s notice to stay overnight. I have a fully fenced in backyard. I have one senior husky, one middle-aged mutt, and one young cat in my own home. They are all healthy and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. They are well socialized and get along with other dogs really well. I am happy to take your pet on walks if that is what they need to get their energy out as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
