“Theresa was amazing! Kept me updated throughout my pups stay with pictures daily and she was making sure he was enriched with lots of playtime and kept him cool in the kiddie pool. Made him feel loved and included in the family instead of stowed away by himself. 100% will be hiring her for future trips!”

“Our pups had a wonderful stay! Stephanie easily comforted Jade through a pretty bad storm. I received lots of communication and pictures. These dogs are whooped after all the fun they had!”

“Sarah was fantastic!!! I was very nervous about leaving my puppy Willow for a day but she made the experience easier for me. She constantly communicated with me and shared pictures. I would definitely recommend Sarah. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Wonderful experience, great communication. Our quirky little Bugg had a blast and came home happy, healthy, and well exercised. It was our first time leaving him with non-family and Amber & boys put our minds at ease. Highly recommend!”

“Maggie is so comfortable with Adoni that she leaves our arms and runs into the house to play with the cats. Adoni also sends us cute pics that we can use to brag about our puppy. I couldn't recommend her highly enough.”

“Hayley was amazing with our pups! She loved them as if they were her own and they were so happy in every picture we received! She was incredibly responsive and thoughtful. We already booked our next stay with Hayley!”

“The best sitter I've ever had! It's almost as if my dog (Kota) misses her. She was absolutely amazing and the love she shows to our furry 4 legged family members is 100 genuine! I will definitely book her again! I advise you to book with her if you want your fur babies to be treated with love and care! Thank you so much Jakiah!”

“Tyra kept us updated on daily activities and took photos. Opie had a great time and we were comfortable knowing he was in good hands. Will definitely be reaching out again!”

“Sully really enjoyed himself With Imani. She's sweet, caring and youll be able to tell when you meet her that your pet will be on great hands. Sully's really picky with who he likes and it didn't even take two minutes to get his approval 😂 will definitely bring him by again!”

“Holly was an amazing host. Our 10 month old doodle was well cared for and happy. Holly shared daily updates and was always available whenever I texted. I really appreciate Holly's whole family for taking such great care of Gus.”

About: I grew up with cats and now as an adult have owned dogs for 20 years. I also foster dogs for Red Dog Farm. I’ve taken care of everything from potty trainings puppies to senior dogs that need daily medication. I work from home and have a flexible schedule. I’m generally available a few hours each weekday and most of the day on Wednesdays and Fridays. I can help on some weekends as needed. I have a large fenced in yard and great walking trails near my house if your dog is boarding with me. We don’t have pets of our own right now so your pup would receive my full attention. I love to send clients pics and videos so you know your pet is well taken care of.
About: I’ve had dogs all my life, I’ve had all kinds of animals. I’ve had rabbits and guinea pigs, and many types of dogs. I am currently in school working on getting my vet tech certification, and I have worked at a pet boarding facility before along with a vet office! I am currently in school virtually and working full time doing detailing, so I have a very flexible schedule. I don’t start my work day until abt 10:30, classes are set at my own pace, and I typically finish my work day around 2:30/3 just depends on how long the detail takes me. So my schedule is very flexible and I have the ability to work around it! I live in a townhome apartment complex with 2 cats and a dog. I allow my pets access to everything in my home, same would go for your pets as well! My cats and dog are friendly, and I always leash my dog when taking him outside to use the bathroom or for walks. All my pets are spayed and neutered, and up to date on all their vaccines and on flea and tick prevention.
“Emily and Adam were great! My fur baby was very comfortable with them and he made himself at home right away. They kept me updated throughput the stay and sent pics. I highly recommend them and will book them again in the future when needed!”

“Adriana is awesome! I got videos/pictures everyday. I love that she has a huge backyard that the dogs can run and play. She is great about making sure they have plenty of outside time. I really appreciate that she doesn’t crate the dogs (unless requested). Adriana went above and beyond learning all about my dog and her needs before the stay.”

“Thank you June for taking such great care of my two pups. You made me and them feel at ease as soon as we walked that the door. I especially enjoyed the pics and videos to let me know how they are doing.”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Scott, Ellen and all their kiddos! They took amazing care of Juniper, sent daily updates and pictures, and truly treated her like their own. The kids became Juniper’s best friends and were so kind and loving. We’re incredibly grateful for the care they gave her! We will definitely ask them to watch her again!”

“Gina did a great job taking care of my dog, Moon! She was reliable, caring, and kept me updated while I was away. Moon was happy and well cared for. I’d definitely recommend her and would book with her again!”

“Carrie is a wonderful dog sitter, she was happy to schedule a meet and great to make sure our dogs were compatible with hers and she was very accommodating with our anxious rescues needs. She sends updates and plenty of photos while they are there. Highly recommend Carrie and we will definitely use her in the future if we need someone to watch our boys!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
