About: I have over 10 years of experience caring for family pets and about 7 years of hands on experience training and caring for my own dogs. I currently have a small Maltese/Yorkie mix and i understand that every dog has their own personality, energy level, and needs. I’m naturally fun and high functioning energy, so I’m comfortable keeping up with active dogs, but I’d say patience is one of my biggest strengths. Working in healthcare has taught me how important patience, attentiveness, and compassion are, and I bring that same approach when caring for animals. I work PRN(as needed) in healthcare, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to have plenty of time to give your pet the attention and care they deserve. My availability can vary week to week, but I’m able to plan my schedule around pet care and make sure your pet gets plenty of playtime, walks, and companionship. I live in a one-bedroom apartment with access to a dog park, a large open field directly in front of my complex, and several nearby walking trails. I make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and given plenty of opportunities for exercise and outdoor time. I’ll also follow any routines, feeding instructions, or special care preferences you provide so your pet feels as comfortable and safe as possible.

“We couldn't have asked for a more positive experience with Patty! She was flexible and responsive, and had a super clean and impressively pup-friendly house. Upon arrival, her two sweet dogs immediately made friends with us and our pups (even though they can be shy and one is a bit stand-offish). Patty is highly competent and responsible; she paid attention to the care instructions (yay!), asked pertinent questions, and sent us updates. She went above and beyond to take excellent care of our somewhat needy canines. Our vacation was so much better than usual knowing our dogs were in great hands. After pick-up, our pups were visibly relaxed, happy, and tired--like kids coming home from a fun summer camp. Our only complaint is that Patty doesn't live closer! We have tried many sitters, and Patty is definitely among the best!!”

I also have experience and knowledge in canine CPR and emergency first aid.
