About: I've taken care of dogs for 13 years. No kids and or animals at home. I love animals and welcome cats and dogs of any size or breed. I live walking distance from a soccer field with a great track for walks. Both of my senior dogs crossed the rainbow bridge recently and before their passing we had a nice routine going. I work nearby and will come home on my breaks to check on the pups and take them out on pee breaks. I have Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays off, which I normally spend at home or on hikes at local parks. I do not have a fenced in yard. However, I have no issue with pets on the furniture and I have a spare room for crates.
About: I’ve been caring for pets for most of my life. I adore all animals and look forward to loving and caring for your sweet pets. I am retired due to a health issue and I am fairly flexible with my schedule. Now that I have healed I am able to return to pet sitting for extra income. I’ll be happy to explain this further should there be any concerns on your part. I believe it is traumatic for pets when their people leave them, so it’s better for them to stay in home while you are away. I will come to your home and stay with your pets.
“Laura was great with our dogs. Kept us up to date on their activities and they were very content when we got home. In the past they would be overly excited when we returned from a trip but this time it didn’t seem like a big deal to them. We will definitely give her a call again.”

“Thank you Christopher for your help. He was great with communication and he even arrived early for the check ins. I have a 1 year old and she is still potty training and gets anxious while I’m away. She left a surprise, but he was still willing to help and clean it up and I really appreciate that and still felt bad. I’m grateful he took the extra step, thank you.”

About: Your pets are family, and they deserve the same care, attention, and affection they receive at home. I provide dependable, genuine pet care with a personal touch—treating every dog like they’re my own. I rescued my sweet girl Hashbrown when she was just a tiny puppy, cared for friends and family pets my entire life.I enjoy animals and their company plain and simple. I’m currently available M-F after 2pm for all your pet care needs. I can make myself available for extended care throughout the week if necessary and can do overnight stay as well. We have a decent sized fenced in back yard and a very friendly small breed puppy, so your puppy will feel very welcome. I am confident in my ability to care for your pup and their needs!

About: Hi, I'm Mary, the owner of a pet care business built on 16 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, small animals, and reptiles. I am located in High Point, NC. My professional background includes extensive work as a kennel and doggie daycare attendant, giving me the deep expertise needed to keep your pet safe, healthy, and happy. At my business, your peace of mind is just as important as your pet's well-being. I provide flexible scheduling to accommodate your busy life and dedicated care tailored to your furry friend's specific needs. Pet care is my full-time profession and my passion. I own and operate a full-time doggie daycare and boarding business (Doxie Day Care), so caring for dogs is part of my daily routine, seven days a week. Because this is my full-time job, I have a flexible schedule and am available 24/7 to provide attentive, reliable care. When I commit to caring for a client's pet, I take that responsibility seriously. I always communicate my schedule well in advance, keep clients informed, and pride myself on being dependable and trustworthy. My goal is to provide every pet with a safe, loving environment where they feel comfortable and cared for, just like they would at home. I tailor my care to each dog's individual needs and routine. Whether I'm caring for your pet in your home or mine, my priority is making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My services include feeding, walks, playtime, potty breaks, bathing, and plenty of affection and attention. I am experienced in administering medications and have cared for senior dogs with special needs, including those who are blind, deaf, and even wheelchair-bound. I understand the patience, compassion, and extra care these dogs require. I offer drop-in visits for clients within my service area, and I also welcome dogs into my home for daycare and boarding. My goal is to provide a clean, safe, home-like environment where your pet will receive the same level of care and attention that I give my own.
About: My full time job allows for flexibility during the work day and allows me to work anywhere with wifi. I can often be in the home caring for your animals or taking them out more often than a traditional sitter who works a 9-5. I dog sit for many members of my family and have had dogs since I was 2 years old. I have a lot of experience giving medication and working with elderly animals. If I am available, I would love to set up a meet and greet to see if I would be a good fit! I work a flexible 9-5 and can drop in to walk or spend additional time caring for your animal(s) because of the flexibility! I wake up early as well! I treat each home like I am a true guest there and treat it and the animals if they were my own. I am very respectful of the rules and furniture.

About: I've loved animals for as long as I can remember, and caring for them has always come naturally to me. I'm dependable, trustworthy, and someone you can count on to treat your pets like they're my own. In fact, former teachers have trusted me to care for their dogs, and I'm the go-to dog sitter for my family. I have experience caring for senior dogs and administering medications, and I understand the importance of patience and following each pet's routine. My calm demeanor helps dogs feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed while they're in my care. Whether your pup needs a walk, companionship, or extra attention, I'll make sure they receive plenty of love and excellent care. I’m currently a full-time student, so my weekends are completely free to spend caring for, cuddling, and walking your dog. I have a dog of my own who I care for every day, and she truly is my best friend. I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet, and I’ll care for your dog with the same love, attention, and compassion I give my own. Your pet's safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I care for every dog as if they were my own by making sure they have fresh water, are fed according to their routine, and get plenty of exercise, playtime, and attention. Whether we're going for a walk, playing fetch, or relaxing together, I'll ensure your pup feels safe, happy, and well cared for. I understand that every dog has different needs, so I carefully follow each owner's instructions and routine. I also provide regular photo updates so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry friend is in loving, dependable hands.
About: I have cared for animals for years, especially during the holidays when owners travel out of town. I have experience with a variety of pets including dogs, cats, guinea pigs and hedgehogs. I am a licensed massage therapist running my own business but when I don’t have appointments scheduled at the office, I am at home, willing to help out other working pet parents I currently have a shy beagle mix who gets anxious around other people and animals. For his comfort, I am currently only caring for animals at the client’s home.
“Super great and will be a repeat client!! Marcella was willing to do everything we asked (normal cat stuff making sure they’re fed and please play with and give pets, don’t let outside etc.), but also things like can you let us know if the power is out while you’re there or a package is outside can you bring in? She was willing and stayed the whole time we booked her for! I was able to meet her before she came to cat-sit and she seemed super chill and just the type of person I’d want while I’m away. Her updates were personalized and funny with lots of good pics I’ll be saving for myself haha. Thank you sooo much Marcella!”

About: Friends, coworkers, and family members have trusted me with taking care of their pets over the years. Most of my formal experience with caring for other peoples pets came during and after college, however I was raised around pets (cats and dogs) and learned how to be safe and responsible with animals when I was very little. I am very comfortable with a variety of breeds and temperaments. I have a good understanding of basic commands and have trained two of my own dogs from puppies. I grew up around dogs and cats (we had three golden retrievers at one point!) and always looked forward to getting a dog of my own. There is something about the bond between owner and dog that is special and unique. I enjoy having this bond with my own dog but I also love meeting new animals and seeing their personalities come out as they get comfortable interacting. I have been exposed to many types of dogs at local dog parks and dog friendly restaurants or other locations. I am familiar with caring for dogs that take oral medication and/or have health problems such as limited sight or blindness. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions about hiring me for dog walking, check-ins, or dog day care! I have one small child in the home, so any dogs staying with us during the day or overnight would need to be comfortable and well behaved enough to be around a young child. I wake up early and go to bed around 9pm/10pm. I have one dog in the home who is very friendly and well socialized. He takes little to no time to warm up to other dogs when introduced. Your dog will have plenty of space to be comfortable to chill and play! We enjoy spending time outside on nice days. When it is too hot or cold outside I make sure our pup gets playtime or enrichment toys/treats inside. I currently can offer dog walking services, daily check-ins for cats or dogs, and day/night boarding at our home (as long as your pet is a good and safe fit for a home with a small child). We have a large front and backyard with a carport/porch area. Plenty of space for playing fetch, having the zoomies, or chewing on a treat while getting some fresh air, rain or shine! If your dog requires being leashed/walked when going potty, there is plenty of space to take them around the yard as well as walkable streets near our house, and a park less than 2 minutes away. Our dog currently follows recall and commands to do his "business" but if we are caring for another dog we will leash them both or follow the owner's preferences and what they are comfortable with.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was 10 and neighbors, family, and friends have relied on me to feed, walk, and play with their dogs. I’m currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to play with your pets! Just reach out whenever you need a helping hand. I am a reliable and trustworthy person and would be more than happy to make sure your pet is well taken care of at home.
About: If you need caring, compassionate, reliable, loving service for your furry sweethearts I am available to make them the center of attention. With me they get a bit of a holiday themselves. My work takes me oceanside for extended periods: so when I’m available to house/pet sit for you, I am devoted to all their needs. Presently I am auntie to several cats and dogs that for more than a decade I have been house/pet sitting. I have also cared for horses, goats, chickens, geese and peacocks. I love learning animal’s individual personalities and ingratiating myself in to their familial pack. In my life I have owned a German Shepherd, a Malinois and a Husky as well as numerous cats. I grew up walking the dog, so I prefer to exercise the canines regularly. Playtime for everyone will include some brushing. I have no problems giving oral medications or injections. And I have cared for sick animals of my own as well as others. My entry in to your home will be with complete respect, integrity and detailed consideration. My references will tell you how I am attentive not only to your pets but your home: be it garden or plant care, and most especially having your home be as if you had never left upon your return.
About: I have always had dogs growing up and got my own when i moved out. I have a 3yr old dog that’s fully trained by myself! I have plenty of free time and flexibility and can’t wait to spend it with your pet! I don’t have very many schedule restrictions and am home a majority of the time. I abide by any rules and schedules you may have for your home or pet! I worry when I leave my own dog, and want to make your time away from your furry friend as comfortable as possible!
About: I’ve always been an animal lover! I’ve had lots of experience, especially with my own dogs! Always super observant as well with all animals and will look out with the best care possible! Pet care fits into my daily routine by taking care of my two dogs that I have at home with feeding them morning and night! And taking them for walks, making sure they have enough water. And also giving medications when needed. I care for my pets by making sure they always are feeling loved and cared for! Taking them for walks, making sure they're getting enough exercise and playing with them for fun! Ensuring they’re always fed and have enough water!

I’m very friendly and very loving! I would take care of your baby the way I take care of my spoiled baby!! My puppy loves other dogs and loves to play. Any dog that comes to our home will have fun and be walked a lot and be given kisses and belly ruby. Since we do not have a yard we will be doing long walks through out the day and be given treats. I am friendly and loving person to all animals. I am available mostly nights and weeks. I work full time until 4. I am available most federal holidays as well with the type of work I do. I would come to your home to care for your baby so they are comfortable in their surroundings.i feel if your baby is in its familiar surrounding less stress it will feel.

This was our first time using a sitter, and I must say how happy we are having Courtnie taking care of our baby! Normally, our baby will hide from people, but not with Courtnie. Animals know who is kind and gentle, and Courtnie is. We highly recommend her and look forward to having her for future needs. Thanks Courtnie!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
