“I found Heather a bit last minute and she was absolutely fantastic. She did a great job keeping me abreast of how my pup was doing in her care, and sent plenty of photos. I had some travel hiccups and she was happy to accommodate my minor pickup adjustments and when I arrived it was very clear to me that my pup had a wonderful time and was well taken care of. I won’t hesitate to ask her to look after my dog again, she was well loved and looked after.”

“Lutisa was amazing! I booked a last minute stay for my 5 month old puppy. She was great at communicating and handling all of his energy. When I had to extend my stay by a night she worked with me and made sure my pup was taken care of. I was worried leaving him but she made sure he was taken care of an having a blast. He was exhausted when he got home from playing and running so much. I cannot thank and recommend Lutisa enough!”

“Nancy is a true gem of a sitter! The pictures that she sent, and the notations kept me totally at ease the entire time she had my Cisco. Though I rarely use a sitter, I would recommend Nancy to anyone who wants a loving and safe environment for a special pet. I was really pleased that she took Cisco walking so often. You can trust your pet to Nancy.”

“Thank you, Victoria, for taking such great care of Moon! She truly understands dogs and treats them like family. I highly recommend her, especially for dog boarding.”

“Brittany did a great job of taking care of my 11 yr. old black Lab. He played with her two dogs, he got lots of exercise, and he came home wagging his tail. When he's happy, I am happy.”
“Angela was absolutely incredible! From the very first message, they were incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with, which made the entire process stress-free. We especially loved the updates and the photos they sent throughout the stay. It was so reassuring to see our pups looking happy, relaxed, and well-cared for while we were away. You can really tell they treat every pet like their own. We wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again—highly recommended!”

“Hayley was wonderful with Duke & Tuna while I was on a work trip. She was able to be flexible with my schedule. This would be Tuna’s first time be boarded in someone else’s home and my partner was nervous about it, but Hayley was extremely communicative and made Duke & Tuna feel right at home. When we went to pick them up, looked like they had a wonderful time. We certainly will be booking Hayley again for next time!”

“I was very pleased with the care Robin gave to my pups while we went on vacation. I did not have anyone in my circle who boarded animals so I took a chance and I'm glad I did. From the moment my dogs met Robin they felt her love and had not hesitation to go with her. She kept me posted daily which gave me comfort. I will definitely use and highly recommend her services to anyone! Thank you for a positive experience!!”

“Chuck was a very happy guest. I couldn't have asked for a better place to leave our precious boy. Ww were able to communicate our needs and schedule without any issues. If Chuck needs to be boarded agai, Krystal will be my first choice. Thank you so much.”

“This lady has become apart of the family. Our two dogs can be much to deal with at times but Gina does such a great job with them. They are so happy staying with her and I wouldn't trust anyone else. She doesn't just look after the dogs, she goes the extra mile to make sure they feel at home. If you are considering boarding she is the way to go. So glad we have such a wonderful person taking care of our babies”

“They did a fantastic job, so happy they spent the week with them instead of in boarding, gave daily updates and sent pics, looks like they had it better there than at home, great fenced backyard”

“Brandy was amazing! She took very good care of my pup. She was very responsive, sent pics and videos, and also let me know if there were any problems or concerns she had with him. I would recommend her to anyone who wants their pup in good hands!”

“Holly took the best care of our puppies, they didn’t want to leave! Her and her family treated the dogs like their own and sent lots of pictures and updates☺️ will definitely be returning to Holly the next time we’re out of town!!”

About: Hey, my name is Evan. I am currently a graduate student at UNCG looking to provide high quality care for your pets needs. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or just chilling out, I'll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and loved. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I will take the time to follow your instructions closely. I aim to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your pet. While you're away, I'll keep you in the loop with photos and messages. As for experience, I grew up with three cats and have cat-sitting experience, so I am familiar and have a good understanding of their needs. “Wow! My two pups were pampered with Blanca this week. They received so much love and attention and I received lots of updates throughout the day. We were in the middle of a move from out of state and Blanca was so accommodating to some changes in our schedule too. Highly recommend!”

“Mia was amazing! She took our schnauzer last minute on a holiday. He was relaxed and happy when we picked him up. Good walks and cuddles for our boy! I will continue to use Mia in the future. Thank you Mia!”

“Laci loved staying here! She didn’t seem at all anxious and seemed like she could have stayed longer when I picked her up. This was the first time Laci stayed not with a family me ever and they made it super easy for us both! Would definitely book again!”

“Rachel took top notch care of our pup! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Our dog is like another child to us. We didn’t worry about him at all with Rachel taking care of him. Adoni has watched our pup many times for one and two week periods. We have complete confidence in her . Our little Yorkie has come to love and enjoy spending time with Adoni. We are always getting notes and pics sent to us while we are away and have come to consider her a good friend

All aspects of interaction with Sarah were 5 STAR. She always responded promptly to questions. She responsibly introduced our fur baby early on to both of hers for compatibility. She’s definitely on our repeat sitter list whenever we’re in the North Carolina Piedmont area..

Blanca did an amazing job taking care of Peanut and Sweet Pea! She went above and beyond, pampering and spoiling them the whole time. She sent us plenty of pictures and videos during our vacation, and it was clear how happy our dogs were. It gave us so much peace of mind to know they were in such great hands. We’re so thankful to have found Blanca, and Peanut and Sweet Pea are already looking forward to their next mini vacay at her house!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
