About: I've had dogs in my house since I was a little girl. I would play with them all day if I could. I've taken care of dogs ranging from Beagles to English Mastiffs. No dog is too big or small. I'm experienced with high-energy puppies and slow-energy senior dogs. I view every dog I meet as family and love them as such. I'm your everyday Dog lover. I'm working part-time over the summer yet I have plenty of free time to walk, play, and simply love on your pets. If not, I will make time for them. I'm available for dog services on Sundays throughout the day. Mondays through Saturdays, I will be available varied through the afternoons and mornings. I am unable to board pets within my home, however, I am experienced with pets in the homes. I am able to feed and water the pets on a schedule depending on the owner's request. I am also able to keep with light housekeeping.

About: I’ve owned dogs since I was a little girl playing in the dirt on a country farm. I’ve been around animals in some capacity all my life. I’ve owned many different breeds of dogs throughout my life, from small to large. I currently have one little Yorkiepoo, Ella, who is most definitely a lap dog, always searching for a good tummy rub, and who is missing her sweet brother, Odie, a dachshund mix who recently crossed the rainbow bridge. We miss our sweet boy so much. I am also the very proud grandma to two sweet grandpups whom I dog-sit regularly. Meadow Maui, a sweet, shy Golden Pyrenees, and Fawn Faye, a rambunctious Rough Collie, have me wrapped around their paws. They love visiting Grandma’s house because they know it’s full of treats, belly rubs, snuggles, and nonstop spoiling. 🐾 I am available daily for drop-ins, cuddles, and dog walks. I also provide boarding in my home. I require a meet and greet prior to boarding so that your dog can meet my small Yorkiepoo, Ella. I have a fenced in backyard and many dogs have enjoyed their time staying at my house. I regularly dog-sit my daughter’s two rambunctious pups. As a teacher, I am a rule follower, pay close attention to detail, and strive to make your pups fall in love with their temporary grandma. I’m used to being up super early and will make sure your pups get the love, attention, and care they need while you’re away. My daughter is in the vet tech industry and is always a phone call away to answer any questions I may have about basic dog care needs.

“Jaelen is very responsive and accommodating. He arrived in a timely manner and displayed professionalism throughout our meet and greet. Kona responded well to Jaelen, and we look forward to doing business with him .”

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life and have always helped with their care, but I really started taking on more responsibility in high school when my family rescued a three-legged dog. Before that, I helped care for our family dog from when she was a puppy all the way through her senior years. I’ve also dog sat for friends and family many times, sometimes for up to four dogs at once. The dogs I’ve cared for have been all different sizes, ages, and energy levels, so I’m comfortable adapting to what each dog needs! I’m a college student with a pretty flexible schedule, especially now that it’s summer. I’m spending most of my time on academic stuff, so getting to hang out with animals on the side is something I’d really enjoy. Taking care of pets has always been a part of my daily life, and I’ll treat your pet with the same care and attention I give my own. I’m happy to work around your pet’s routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved! I take pet safety very seriously and always make sure your dog or cat is in a secure, comfortable environment. I’m attentive to their needs and behavior to keep them safe and happy while in my care. I’m reliable, responsible, and respectful of your home and rules. You can trust me to follow any instructions you provide, whether it’s about feeding, medication, or exercise. Creating a calm and loving space for your pet is important to me. I want them to feel relaxed and cared for, just like mine do at home!

About: I’m originally from Rhode Island, where I previously cared for pets before moving to North Carolina. I’ve been around animals my entire life and have years of experience caring for dogs and horses. For the past two summers, I worked at a country club in Rhode Island where I regularly walked members’ dogs—some daily—as well as fed them, checked in on them, and provided companionship while their owners were away. I have two dogs of my own, Belle and Bubba, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and energy levels, including puppies and senior dogs. I potty trained both of my dogs, and my experience includes feeding, walking, exercising, administering basic medications, basic grooming, providing companionship, and monitoring for any signs of illness or discomfort. What sets me apart is my strong animal background, reliability, and attention to detail. As an equestrian with 16 years of riding experience, I have a deep understanding of animal behavior and the importance of patience, consistency, and individualized care. Whether I’m caring for a quick puppy walk or providing attentive care for senior pets, I treat every animal as if they were my own. I also make it a priority to keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can feel confident knowing their pets are happy, safe, and receiving the best possible care while they’re away. I am currently working part time and don't have a set schedule. I can pretty much do Sunday-Saturday any time during the morning and can confirm time/dates once I know my work schedules! When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their normal routine as closely as possible to help their pets feel comfortable and secure. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, playtime, administering medications if needed, cleaning up after pets, and providing plenty of attention and companionship. I also keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can have peace of mind while they're away. I am also open to boarding dogs in my home as long as they are friendly with other pets. I have two dogs of my own, a Cocker Spaniel and a Toy Australian Shepherd, who are both well-socialized and accustomed to being around other dogs. Any pet staying in my home would receive plenty of attention, exercise, and a safe, loving environment. They would always be on a leash in my yard since I do not have a fence. My goal is always to make pets feel comfortable, happy, and cared for, whether they're in their own home or mine.
“Shae was great! She came through for me in a pinch when my other dog walker cancelled. She mixed perfectly with my pups and they were both tired when they came home. I would 100% recommend her to others!”
About: I’ve had experience taking care of dogs and cats for over 8 years. I love animals and love giving them attention. I will make sure your beloved furry family member is taken care of. I am currently working at a part time job Monday to Thursday, so I would be able to help out on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at any time! I strive to be punctual and respectful of my clients home. I follow rules and always try to communicate as clearly and promptly as possible!
“Rachel has been awesome. She’s provided great updates, listened to all my particular requests as a first time dog mama and kindly offered to stay longer than the 30 minutes requested since she understands that puppies don’t like being alone. She made my first few days back at work much less stressful. I will definitely use her plenty more in the future! I highly recommend.”
About: I've been taking care of dogs since I was very young. Notably, I trained service dogs in undergrad for 2 years and had a service dog with me for that time. I am a graduate student and have a flexible schedule. I do not have a set 9-5 schedule and it changes every week so please reach out to see if your schedule works. I live in an apartment that has a large fenced in dog park within steps from my door that your dog will make many trips to. There are many friendly dogs within the area for your pet to play with if you choose.
About: I’ve personally had dogs my whole life! I have experience with caring for senior dogs as well as puppies. I have a special place in my heart for labs, but I love them all! I’ve yet to meet a dog I don’t like. I have experience is administering meds, crate training, and providing overall care to your pet 😀 As a dog owner myself, caring for pets is part of my everyday life. I love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable. For boarding, I offer Thursday evening drop-offs, and pets must be picked up by Sunday. This helps me ensure each pet gets the best care possible during their stay In my home, pets are treated like family. I have two friendly dogs of my own, Sunny and Ruby, so I understand the importance of maintaining a safe, loving, and structured environment. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of affection and attention. I also make sure pet parents receive regular updates and photos so they can feel confident their furry family member is happy and well cared for

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Jamestown
Jennifer was fantastic! She was on time and took good care of Neil. The 3 days she walked him were warm/hot days. She made sure to not let him get overheated and brought him back inside before the 30 minutes was up. I was definitely grateful for that! The rest of the time, she loved on him before she left.

Tiffany has been walking and visiting with my family’s Boston Terrier for several months now. She has consistently delivered top notch care! Tiffany is very conscientious about leaving our home and dog in great shape before she leaves. She has a genuine love for animals. Our dog always looks forward to seeing her!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
