About: I have had dogs all my life - all sizes & breeds. I specialize in smaller size breeds. I currently have 2 Miniature Schnauzers and they are my “children” and are spoiled rotten as will your baby when they are here. Dogs are not crated unless otherwise told. Pups are able to sleep where they feel most comfortable and if allowed homemade treats are given. They will be pampered & spoiled while they are home away from home. I am flexible and reliable and try to eliminate stress for all involved. If medication is needed, I am trained in oral as well as giving injections. Homemade treats for our precious babies are provided. Only the best. I work a hybrid schedule so I am home full time Thursday thru Sunday. Monday thru Wednesday I am in the office but home starting at 5:30 pm till morning. Fur babies are always supervised. Long walks are taken in the evening along with shorter ones thru the day. Nice wilderness trail to explore in addition to a park down the road for the more adventurous. Grassy areas close for those quick walks then in the evenings a nice safe walk around the neighborhood.

We were back in town and didn’t hesitate to book him again, and once again, he was amazing. We used him for two days of dog sitting, and our Gracie Lou came back happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. It’s such a relief having someone we trust completely. Highly recommend and will absolutely continue to book with him!

About: I’ve worked in vet med for 4 years and can promptly handle any type of emergency. I am comfortable medicating dogs and cats of all ages, and I can perform CPR if necessary. I have also worked at doggy daycares taking care of 100+ animals at a time. I have been pet sitting since I was in high school, and I care for each animal as my own! I am trustworthy, reliable, and very communicative with pet parents. My schedule is completely open right now! I am available to pet sit weekdays or weekends. I can do same-day bookings, but I would prefer at least one day’s notice to stay overnight. I have a fully fenced in backyard. I have one senior husky, one middle-aged mutt, and one young cat in my own home. They are all healthy and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. They are well socialized and get along with other dogs really well. I am happy to take your pet on walks if that is what they need to get their energy out as well!

About: I’ve personally had dogs my whole life! I have experience with caring for senior dogs as well as puppies. I have a special place in my heart for labs, but I love them all! I’ve yet to meet a dog I don’t like. I have experience is administering meds, crate training, and providing overall care to your pet 😀 As a dog owner myself, caring for pets is part of my everyday life. I love spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable. For boarding, I offer Thursday evening drop-offs, and pets must be picked up by Sunday. This helps me ensure each pet gets the best care possible during their stay In my home, pets are treated like family. I have two friendly dogs of my own, Sunny and Ruby, so I understand the importance of maintaining a safe, loving, and structured environment. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of affection and attention. I also make sure pet parents receive regular updates and photos so they can feel confident their furry family member is happy and well cared for

About: My husband and I both grew up with dogs in the house from the day we were born, so we each have 20+ years of experience! I also was a house/pet sitter through most of high school and college, where I gained experience with senior and diabetic dogs, as well. We’d love nothing more than to love your pups for you whenever they unfortunately can’t travel along! My husband and I both work primarily from home, along with our two children and our own three dogs, so we are readily available for any and all of your pups needs! Apart from the occasional work or summer trip, we are available for boarding, play dates, walks, and the like as needed! We have a fenced in yard with a covered deck perfect for playing fetch or just catching some sun. We have a three year old and a nine month old, as well as three dogs of our own, two corgis and one boxer, who would love to keep your fur babies company while you’re away! We do have the ability to keep dogs in separate spaces if needed though, so there will be no concerns for anyone who isn’t a fan of little ones or just likes to have their own space. We both work primarily from home, so we will be at your pups beck and call for whatever they need whenever they need it! We know they are a member of your family, and we will provide the best home-away-from-home for them while you travel. We do require that all dogs who will visit our home be up-to-date on Rabies, Bordetella, Distemper vaccines and also be spayed/neutered if old enough (>1 yr.) This is to ensure the safety of all pups, both those visiting and our own. A digital or paper copy of your dogs vaccine records must be provided for the first booking, and will be kept on file for future use (and updated as needed). All dogs must also have a collar and ID tag when staying in our home. Everyone’s safety is our top priority! We do allow meet and greets for anyone who is interested so that we can all meet in person, and your pup(s) can sniff around and get comfortable before their stay.

About: We just love and adore pups at our house including our 3, who are spoiled, played with and loved on all day. We’ve even watched ducks and loved every minute of it. We have had our own dogs for 15+ years and have watched many friends and family’s dogs as well. I work from home part-time and am here most of the time to care for your pups and mine! If we do leave the house it’s usually just for a few hours max. We have a fenced in yard and 3 pups of our own. It’s best if your dog is friendly and comfortable around other friendly dogs!

With a reputation for reliability, excellent communication, and a deep sense of responsibility, I am dedicated to ensuring your pets receive the attention they deserve. I can monitor your pet’s health and administer medications according to you or your veterinarian's instructions, while you’re away. My commitment to open communication—including regular updates with photos and videos—further distinguishes me as a trustworthy caregiver. Additionally, I believe in the importance of being well-educated and knowledgeable about different pet breeds and understanding their specific physical needs. My personalized approach and dedication to meeting the individual needs of each pet makes me an exceptional choice for pet owners seeking high-quality and attentive care for their furry friends. I specialize in caring for your pets on their schedules. So, whether you’re at work, and your pet just needs a potty break, or you’re out of town on vacation, you can be sure your fur babies are getting the best care and attention possible. As a caregiver, pet care is an integral part of my daily or weekly routine. It involves scheduled activities such as feeding, walking, and playtime, all tailored to the individual needs of each pet I'm responsible for. Additionally, I prioritize communication with pet owners, providing them with updates on their pets' well-being and addressing any concerns that may arise. Ensuring that pets receive proper care, attention, and companionship is a consistent and important aspect of my routine. Having someone reliable, care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, has been shown to minimize stress while you’re away. When caring for pets in a client's home, there are several important aspects for me to consider: 1. ** Feeding and Watering:** Ensure that the pets are fed according to their schedule and dietary requirements. Provide fresh water at all times. 2. **Medications:** Administer any necessary medications as instructed by the client or veterinarian. 3. **Exercise:** Take the pets for regular walks or outdoor playtime to meet their exercise needs and provide mental stimulation. 4. **Toilet Breaks:** Let the pets out for bathroom breaks and clean up after them as needed. 5. **Play and Interaction:** Engage in interactive play sessions, provide toys, and offer companionship to prevent boredom and loneliness. 6. **Housekeeping:** Ensure the pet's living area is clean and tidy, including cleaning up any accidents or messes. 7. **Communication:** Maintain open communication with the pet owner, providing updates on their pets' well-being and any concerns that arise. 8. **Emergency Preparedness:** Be aware of emergency contacts, the location of the nearest veterinary clinic, and any specific instructions for emergencies. Every pet is unique, so it's crucial for me to follow the owner's instructions and cater to the specific needs and routines of each pet I am caring for.

Pet owners rest assured; your pet is safe. Mia is fantastic! If I could give her 10 stars I would. This was our first time using Rover and since first impressions make everlasting impressions, she set the bar high. From initial contact Mia answered all of my questions immediately. She updated me often with photos and reports on what they were doing. I was not wondering or concerned if Ruby was ok. My perfect doodle came back from her day with Mia happy and relaxed. Thank you, Mia! We will definitely book you again when in the area.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Jamestown commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.

A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.

Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:

  • For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
  • For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
  • For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 412 sitters in Jamestown, 91% respond to messages in under an hour.

You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
