Pet Care Alongside 3 Active Kids
Though we are not currently owners of any pets, both my husband & I grew up with dogs and them as adults before our children came along. Your pet will be loved on, managed, and cared for by our entire family. We are a mixed schooling, chemical avoiding, outside loving family of 5. We have a fenced-in backyard as an open space for kids & pets to dig or run "wild & free". We also love to be indoors where it's cool & I aim for calm & orderly, not perfection! Being a mixed schooling family with both my husband & I working from home, there are daily/weekly opportunities for fun & play either in our chemical free backyard or at local parks and trails. Our backyard is fenced-in with ample sunny & shady places to rest & relax, dig, and play. Our family would ensure that your pet is fed, watered, walked, and played with well. We can accommodate pets who are accustomed to sleeping in their crate or bed, as well as those accustomed to sleeping wherever they land for the night. With flexible at-home schedules, we are able to take your dog out for frequent walks to exercise or preform their bodily needs. I currently work full-time from home and we are able to care for pets in our home daily, as well as check-ins & walks at your home in the morning & evenings 7 days a week. We ensure that all dogs in our home have clean water, toys to play with, appropriate dog treats, and receive lots of love. For services in your home, I will ensure your dog/pets receive adequate outside play time/walks, full water bowls, and adhere to any feeding regimen you use, along with some extra love while I visit. NOTE: Although we can accommodate 2 dogs in our home at the same time, we are currently limiting that to "sibling" dogs (or dogs often around one another, say extended family). In essence, we are now taking 1 dog at a time unless the exception noted above. Additionally, we are now limiting breeds in our home to unfortunately exclude boxers, pit bulls, and other high-muscle build dogs. Thanks for your understanding.

Schedule
We are a partial homeschooling FT work from home family, therefore schedules are relatively flexible and accommodating for dogs' and/or owners' travel schedules during the stay.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fully fenced backyard with multiple outside security cameras. Dogs are not left unattended outside no matter the weather. Additionally, dogs can be leashed and taken on short neighborhood walks as needed. As it stands (2023) we provide care for "sibling" dogs or only 1 at a time to ensure best practices are upheld. And we are now unfortunately limiting high-muscle build dogs such as boxers and pit bulls and their mixed breeds as well. Thank you for your understanding!
A typical day
When caring for your dog, we will ensure they have outside play time or go for a walk in the neighborhoodo, for between 30 & 60 mins. If your dog enjoys water (either from a hose or in a local clean creek), we may spend time doing those activities. Our 3 children will play, pet, and otherwise love on your dog as much (or as little) as your dog likes!
