“We had a great experience! Very accommodating to our dog’s needs and made sure he was comfortable and well cared for. It gave us peace of mind knowing our senior pup was in such good hands. We would definitely recommend and would happily book again. 🐾”

“Leigha was wonderful with my one hear old energetic Rat Terrier, Abby. She sent me messages, photos and videos on a regular basis. It was clear Abbie was relaxed and happy. Leigha has a darling little dog that quickly became my dog's best friend. I would highly recommend Leigha.”

“I had contractors working on my house and she accommodated all of the scheduling changes I had to deal with. She sent regular updates and was great to work with. The only issue I have is she spoiled Louie and now I have to compete with that ?”

“Yasmeen took such good care of our pup, Elly! Elly is a very high-energy Boston Terrier who gets anxious if she is home alone for too long, so we are so thankful we could find Yasmeen who worked from home and could be there for Elly!”

About: Hi! I’m Jennifer, a lifelong dog lover and proud owner of my 5-year-old pup, Scooby. Caring for animals has always been a big part of my life, and I truly believe pets are family and deserve love, patience, and attention just like any other family member. I also had the privilege of caring for another dog for 12 wonderful years before she sadly passed away from cancer, which gave me experience with dogs through all stages of life and taught me how important compassionate care is. I’m currently a teacher assistant so during the Holidays, weekends and out of school for the summer I’ll be available any time. So I can make sure I give lots of love and attention to your love ones. I live in a safe, pet-friendly apartment complex with two gentle young children under 7 who have grown up around dogs and love animals. Your pet will be welcomed into a warm, caring environment where they’ll receive plenty of affection, playtime, and attention while you’re away. Whether your dog loves cuddles, walks, playtime, or simply relaxing, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and treated like part of the family.
“Excellent!! Gabrielle watched our 2 Yorkies when we took a trip overseas. She was attentive and kept us updated with how our pups were doing and sent pictures regularly. This gave us peace of mind while we were halfway across the globe. When we returned from our trip and picked up our dogs, it was obvious they had been well taken care of. I highly recommend Gabrielle. We will definitely book with her again!”

“Xariyah blew me away!!! I was so nervous about leaving my baby because I just moved here and he's used to only my family watching him, but I had no other option than to find him a sitter. Xariyah will be his family from now on though because we will definitely be a regular! She treated my baby as if he was her own and he had such an amazing time with her and her kitty. She sent me constant updates and pictures and reassured me after he had a rough first day with anxiety away from me and he was back to his normal self by the next day. I'm beyond happy that I chose her and will definitely be using her again! ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you so much Xariyah!”

“Nelcy was fantastic! She kept our two high-energy Aussies, and everything was great. She sent pictures and updates throughout the week and went out of her way to make our dogs comfortable. We would definitely board with her again in the future and recommend her to other pet parents looking for a reliable sitter.”

“Truly one of the best pet sitters on here! Jared was super accommodating and was able to fit us in last minute. I can tell my pets were very well taken care of and had a great time during their stay. They've been sleeping since we picked them up! Laika and Sirius will absolutely be coming back for future stays!”

“Margaret was an excellent sitter for my attention needy Cavalier. Margaret spotted her wanting to be near her at all times and the two of them became close. I felt confident and comfortable while I was away from her. I would highly recommend Margaret as a sitter for your “small” dog.”
“Mackenzie is amazing!! She is our new go to pet sitter and I cannot recommend her enough! She is quick to respond and sends updates frequently! Maribel was very sweet with Scout, and respected his initial nervousness. We had a meet and greet prior to his stay. She has a clean and lovely home, and a well-kept large back yard, fenced in. great communication every day with photos. You're in good hands with Maribel and Molly

Margaret was an excellent sitter for my attention needy Cavalier. Margaret spotted her wanting to be near her at all times and the two of them became close. I felt confident and comfortable while I was away from her. I would highly recommend Margaret as a sitter for your “small” dog.
Our pup thoroughly enjoyed staying with Mackenzie this weekend. She was snuggled and spoiled and loved playing with her dog too. I felt so relieved to hear that she was doing well in her updates and loved seeing all the fun she was having. I would definitely trust Mackenzie to keep her again!

As first-time users of a pet sitter, we weren't sure how Eren would respond, especially given his high energy. Elisé was exceptionally patient with him and maintained constant communication, providing daily updates and valuable insights throughout our experience. When she dropped Eren off, I could tell he was genuinely sad to leave her. We felt so fortunate to have him in her care!

Rachel took great care of my fur baby and provided updates. This was my first time boarding my dog. She's my emotional support dog so I've only left her with family. All of my family moved to a different state. I was having surgery so, I had no choice but to board Menty. Rachel let Menty and I meet her ahead of time which made me more comfortable and because I was having surgery she was sweet enough to bring Menty home, even though that was not our original deal. I would definitely recommend her and I will use her services in the future. I would give her 10 stars if I could!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
