About: I have over four years of hands-on experience caring for my own dog, including managing illnesses, administering medications, and recognizing when something isn’t quite right. Through this experience, I’ve learned to pay close attention to canine behavior and body language, allowing me to pick up on subtle cues about a dog’s comfort, needs, and emotions. I understand how to respond calmly in emergency situations and how to help dogs feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. Whether it’s encouraging a dog to eat, maintaining their routine, or simply providing companionship, I approach every dog with patience, attentiveness, and genuine compassion. I truly see dogs as family members and believe they deserve the same respect, kindness, and care that we give to people. My goal is to make every dog feel loved, secure, and understood while they’re in my care. As a therapist who works from home, I am able to provide consistent supervision and attention throughout the day. My schedule includes regular breaks, allowing me to attend to your dog’s needs, offer potty breaks, playtime, walks, affection, and companionship without long periods of separation. My home has a fenced yard for safe outdoor time, as well as multiple rooms that can be used to give dogs their own space when needed. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and are treated like part of the family, creating a comfortable, home-like environment rather than a kennel atmosphere. Most importantly, I will be home the entire time your dog is in my care, ensuring they receive attentive supervision, comfort, and companionship throughout their stay.
“I was so grateful for Samantha and Tim! They kept Remy on such short notice and made my first rover experience absolutely amazing! They sent daily updates that made me feel at ease! Will definitely be using them again!”

“Jenna & Shane were able to keep my pup last minute when another sitter didn’t answer at drop off. They took great care of her & she enjoyed their backyard & having playmates. Will definitely consider using for future trips to the area.”

“Karyssa & Michael provided a 10/10 stay for Meijor! I needed someone on a last minute notice to watch him and they were there for me. Karyssa was very nice and accommodating! She gave Meijor plenty of attention and play time throughout the day. What I appreciated most Maryssa was the constant pictures and updates throughout Meijor’s stay. Whether it was after a walk or play time she kept us up to date on how he was doing. She really treated Meijor like her own! Will 100% be using them again and would recommend them to anyone!”

“Our pup had a great time! He was happy and well care for. Jared was super helpful stepping in at the last minute for us. He made sure he had enough information to take good care of Weston and accommodated him on his sleeping habits. We would definitely stay with Jared again! ❤️”
“Talia and Austin are the kindest people around and our dog is so well taken care of. Our dog has so much fun while she is at their house and returns exhausted which is all that we can ask for!”

About: My family had two aging beagles I helped care for that eventually passed away. They both required much attention and medication. Any time my family members or friends need someone to watch their dog, they ask me. I have experience working with smaller sized dogs and much bigger dogs. I have also worked at a humane society. I just graduated from grad school so I will have plenty of time to care for your fur babies and will make sure they are happy and healthy! I will make sure they go to the bathroom regularly, make sure they get plenty of exercise/walks, make sure they are well fed, and make sure they are overall safe and comfortable. It is my job to make sure your fur baby is happy! If using boarding services, my apartment complex is very pet friendly and has a great dog park!
“Great sitter! Super communicative. Monitored my dogs behavior along with other dogs to ensure safety between all of them. He’s super patient and flexible with me and my fur babies. Thank you!”

“Nicole did a great job of communicating - sending photos and videos. Brody was in great shape who e we picked him up and even tired out due to his fun playing with the other dogs. We would leave him with Nicole again when needed.”

“Morgan did great with Theo (who is still learning) & on such short notice, too! He seemed to have a great time while staying with her and her family! She made sure he would feel comfortable for his first time staying with a sitter while I was away. She was flexible with drop off and pick up timing which worked out great for my traveling purposes. She is experienced in dog sitting and made the process very easy. She sent pictures and updates during his stay which I also really appreciated.”

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
