“Andrea is incredibly kind, patient and clearly loves dogs. She provided excellent care for Shep, making sure he received plenty of exercise, playtime and cuddles. Andrea kept me updated with texts and photos throughout our trip which made my heart happy. She also was able to help out on short notice. Thank you Andrea!”

“Chevy came home relaxed and happy. That speaks volumes to the level of care, attention and healthy environment that Beth provided. Her love for the pups is obvious. Beth's communications with us were quick and complete. When we cannot take Chevy with us, we are relieved to know that Chevy has a safe place to hang out. Grateful!”

“Denee and her husband went above and beyond in taking care of my boy! I honestly have never had a sitter as amazing! Her one dog at a time policy set me at ease and allowed me to truly enjoy my vacation knowing there would be no issues with other dogs. They took him for so many walks and played fetch so much, he was tired from all the fun he had when we got back home! I definitely recommend! Thanks again Denee!”

“Allison was great. She checked in with me everyday and sent lots of pictures to let me know that Winston was doing well. Winston seemed to get lots of love, attention, and play.”

“Tara & her family helped me on days notice for four nights when my sitter had to cancel. She saved my trip and maverick had a great time with her dogs. Would 100% use her again. Thank you, again, Tara!”

“My dog always has a good time at Jared and Sharon's house. She likes to play with their dogs and follows them into their house instead of trying to run back to my car like she does with the groomer, so she must like it there. They have a nice fenced yard and Jared works from home so someone is usually around. They treat her like one of the family, and they are always my first choice when I need someone to watch my dog.”

“Brooke was so great with Kira! I needed to feel like she was in good hands while we left the country for a week, and Brooke went above and beyond that and I never felt worried. Great sitter and would rebook again!”

“Melany and her Dad took great care of Grizzly. We love the yard space that Grizzly had to run around. We also received pics while he was there. Melany had great communication and we will dedinitely book her again.”

“Megan was so patient and sweet with our shy, timid pups. Her place is perfect. Its like an Airbnb for your dogs with their own room and big fenced in yard. She sends updates and keeps you informed. She's great!”

“So grateful to you both for taking Harry in this past weekend and sharing your home! Harry clearly enjoyed his stay and is looking forward to returning soon!”

“Paisley was very helpful and took very good care of our dogs. She kept us updated on their status with pictures and texts. She was extremely flexible about the drop off and pick up schedule. I would definitely recommend her.!”

“Talia did an amazing job caring for Dino. She sent photos and descriptions of their time together, making him part of her family. Dog parks, long walk and playtime with her family’s pet were just part of their routine. I wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. And he smelled great when I picked him up! She bathed him (which is no easy task.)”

“Loren is top notch! Our dogs loved being able to run around her property and play with her dogs. She sent lots of pictures and updates throughout their stay and was always very quick to respond. Loren is super easy to work with and was very flexible when I had some last minute changes in pick up time. And she gave the boys baths and nail trims- I mean what more could you ask for. 10/10!”

About: Hello! My name is Katrina, I am an elementary school counselor currently saving up to buy a home! I have my own dog, Milo, a 4-year old lab mix but I have always loved dogs and have experience volunteering at service dog training facilities, shelters, and I have fostered dogs, as well! I have done dog walking and petsitting for multiple years now and have experience working with all types of dogs, small or large, reactive or non-reactive, all energy levels, and I love them all :) I will update you as much as you want on your pet when I am with him or her, I know it can be stressful to be away from them but I promise they are in good hands if they are with me! I currently work full-time so I am available after 4pm on weekdays and anytime on weekends! I am more than happy to work with your schedule. I have a large, fenced-in backyard and my own dog that loves to spend time outside. Please let me know whether your dog is more of an indoor/outdoor dog and how I can adjust the environment to fit his/her needs.

“Once again, my dog had a wonderful stay with Catie. Excellent care for my pup & great communication with me. I highly recommend Catie & will definitely being using her again!”

“Sarina was great! She allowed us to stop by to meet her and her pups in advance. And, she sent a lot of great pictures of Lulu and her puppies during Lulu’s stay. Lulu is ready to stay again!”

“Shelly is/was a life saver! My plans changed several times and in the chaos of it all I forgot to confirm the booking.... but Shelly was accommodating and helped put my mind at ease. My dogs are pretty easy going, however I do have one that has seizures sometimes. I felt completely confident in Shelly's ability to handle one if it happened. Keeping Kennedy (my dog) calm helps keep her from having seizures. Shelly's home is warm, calm and comfortable. It was a perfect stay! I will definitely be using her again.”
“Paige was wonderful with our pets. It was a quick trip from out of town and Paige was so gracious and we highly recommend her. We will definitely be using Paige again on the next trip.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Lewisville
I can’t say enough great things about Elizabeth! She took amazing care of my senior dog, Max, who hasn’t been boarded in years and was understandably anxious. She handled his pacing and accidents with total grace and professionalism. I loved the steady communication and photos — it made the whole experience stress‑free. Her spot near Peace Haven/Lewisville‑Clem Rd is super convenient, and her own pups are the sweetest. I highly recommend her for any dog sitting or boarding needs.

Shelly was really nice, friendly, and a great communicator. Mochi warmed up to her right away! She took lots of pictures of Mochi so we didn't feel like we missed him too much. We had zero problems with her. We’re looking forward to working with her again in the future!

Natalie was fantastic! Jasper, our 12+ year old Westy , stayed with her for 12 days. She took great care of him ; attending to a problem with his joint issues and was up and down several nights being homesick!! One night she even took him out @230am when he was wining and homesick. With being several thousand miles away she eased our anxiety so we could enjoy our trip!!! Thanks to Natalie , her family and her own Kinley and Regan he truly had a “home away from home”!!! We’ll definitely choose Natalie again!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
